It really does work well, I was surprised by it. I have been very accustomed to the linear pedal feel with GT5 and relied on it for a long time. Now that I have been iRacing it became essential to have some sort of pressure feedback to prevent lockup. It's really easy to experiment with as my pedals are out in the open for quick changes.
Incidently it has become painfully obvious to me that it's hard switch back and forth between iRacing and GT5 physics. I guess I am going to have to just pick one and focus... iRacing anyone? 👍
Not really, it's still damn slow.Membersite is back online!
The Cup is faster everywhere except Lime Rock Park, where the Roadster's gears are advantageous.

swiftwillycan you join a series mid season or do you have to wait until the series has finished? I probably will get out of rookie in a few weeks, was wondering if I could join a D class series or do I have to wait.
Hmm....I think its more than just Lime Rock, in theory, any clockwise track would suit the Roadster more because its steering is on the right hand side. i.e. could also work for okayama.
website is down again..or just very very slow
RHD or LHD has little to do with how fast a car goes around the track. What about a clockwise track with more left turns than right turns?
Roadster's right-hand-drive layout results in a more suitable crossweight for clockwise circuits (eg. Lime Rock, Okayama, etc.) - and vice versa for the Cup.
I think you are missing my point. The side of the car you are driving on not give any significant overall advantage. In this example in particular, the lap records speak for themself, the MX-5 roadster isn't as fast on most tracks as the MX-5 Cup, but I attribute very little of that to RHD or LHD.
I know all about small differences making a large impact, I raced Formula Ford and Formula Continental for 15 years.
What are the fastest times for the Mazda cars at Lime Rock? heard something about 57's here?
Is anyone having trouble w/ i-Racing's servers tonight ????
The stupid brouser page won't load completely on anything I pick. I just get the wallpaper but most of the content is blank.
I think I found my problem but the site is still acting like it's in a coma. It's now saying that I have to update my files so I hit the update button and it goes away but nothing downloads
Anyone got any ideas ???
The anoying thing is i hardly put a wheel off on the exit of the last turn all race and it kept telling me that i was off track (x1). If i had gone off there i would have wiped out...
In addition silly me went off track after the race was over....
ended up losing .12 SR but gaining .44 iRating.... I dont yet understand!
Superbike, take a step back and read the posts above and read about the cars itself. You also half answered your own question. Your also not comparing apples with apples.
The difference between the two cars isn't just RHD or LHD, the gears are different and thats way the laps are different. Someone just posted above that the gear setup for Roadster suits LRP more than others. Why are the other tracks dominated by the Cup? Well how about the gear setup (go figure)...
If they were the exact same cars, gears etc and the ONLY difference is RHD or LHD, the RHD would suit clockwise tracks or more:
1. weight distribution
2. you can see apex better (Sir Sterling Moss)
Also your posts is illogical. You know all about small differences making an impact yet you consider LHD vs RHD differences to be very small? err...so if the difference is small, than wouldn't it make an impact as per your comment?
Guess even after 15 years in racing you learn something new everyday
What I am saying, RHD better for clockwise tracks if everything else is the same.
You really need to hug that inside curb on the last turn to get a clean fast exit, try it on practice sessions you can even put 2 tires on that curb and still be fast and clean. It will be scary the first couple of laps but then you'll get used to it!The anoying thing is i hardly put a wheel off on the exit of the last turn all race and it kept telling me that i was off track (x1).
