Well, that was a boring Roar before 2.4 for me. I chose the Jetta.:dunce: Then I had some moron beating my door off on lap 2 and 3 to get by me. Kind of gt5 style door riding. I let him go and then he does this D1 Jetta drift in turn 1 into the barrier there by pitlane.:lol: Not really funny though cause even though I ran as wide as possible, I still got left front damage from him bouncing back across the track. Oh well, I literally didn't turn a lap in the Jetta at Daytona till the quali session at 8:30. I finished 4th in class and 4th overall just missing the podium by .5 sec. With a damaged wheel mind you. Good ole Darin Gangi won my split. Haha.
 
I just did a test with the DP to get an idea of my fuel run and tire wear for the 2.4. Didn't want other cars messing me up or wrecking me. It'll probably be a bit different, but should be close.

Looks like my fuel run is gonna be 36-37 laps which is about an hour. Give or take a few minutes. Anyone who's worried about tire wear really shouldn't. Here's mine after 36 laps running 39's every lap:
LF - 94% 91% 92%
RF - 95% 94% 96%
LR - 94% 90% 92%
RR - 92% 90% 95%
Really surprised the tires didn't wear more. It sure felt like they were at least at 75% for those last few laps.

Well, time to rest and get ready for the big race. 2 hours and 40 minutes is long time. Have to add some extra padding and comfort to my seat. Hopefully I can get out of my seat when its all over with:)

Just got the DP. It is so awesome! I havent run any cars that fast yet so leaving the pits was a big wake up call. I was hustling down to the left turn put exit as who knows how many mph. Feels so great!. Thank You iRacing. 1 hour with this car undoes all the pain and suffering of my school week.
 
I love the DP, it and the Radical are my two favorite cars. I think the Radical is a little more "lively" (read: fun) but the DP is just a great car to race.
 
What rpm should I be shifting at in the HPD? Btw, the hpd feels like the Red Bull X2011.Kills time literally.

Man, I really hate the lack of rear grip in iRacing, I can't drive with any confidence unless I go slow. If I push I'll lose the rear end, so stuck at 80%.

I can run consistent 41s with full fuel load, and 40s with low fuel... I'm losing lots of time in braking and turn in, Mid turn and turn out Im usually with who ever is ahead of me but into the next turn the start to pull away as I brake early since I dont have confidence the back end will stay under me.

ready for the race cant wait. although im a mustang... i hope their will be mustangs in it.... NO ONE DRIVES THEM ITS STUPID!

Eek is right. iRacing is probably hoping their servers hold up:lol:

@Pingwhen- no drives them cause its not really a proper car to mix with the Riley. Plus the Riley is pure awesomeness:)

hmmm.. May of found my issue. Well in testing my clutch died, so quit out and was messing with it, pulling off the sensor cleaning etc.. so anyways, loaded up the fanatec software to check the pedal outputs and, the wheel was setup for 400*. I assumed that the on wheel settings were used in game. So I put it at 900* and did another test after getting my clutch to semi work (stays on 10% the whole time now :( ) and the handling seemed different... so hopefully thats it. Though messing with my pedals my brake setting was messed up, so with the brakes changed and steering changed its going to be an interesting 2.4, lol.

i got no choice being in a mustang its gonna be a little sketchy! what time of sr can we expect from this? alot? or a little?

Alot if you don't make mistakes, crash, or get wrecked. Can also lose alot too though.
 
Jav! I'm stuck at work but tried to watch your split. Looks like something bad happened to your car before I joined the session tho. :sick:

Need to try to lookup plate & blaze and get them added on so i can watch their races...

@Blaze_409: Mind PM'ing your name on iRacing? I dont see you on the GTP directory. going to go try spectating plate for a bit
 
Is there a way to have the full software downloaded on two computers? I thought it was only available at one pc at a time.

Wow , what a disaster. Started and ran great, was in p3... about an hour into the race my clutch started messing up, it all went to **** from there.. Wrecked twice, then after the 11 minutes if repairs try again and the clutch has nothing.. Try to do the blip downshift, fail going off the track everywhere, so just parked it... Top 5 finish to last.......
 
Dang dissapointment. Started 29th in a so so field. I think pole was a 1:40.8. I didnt get a clean lap in qualy with 43 cars on track...... So doing fine, no first turn pileups. Lap 5 or 6 i slow to avoid a big wreck on the banking between cars ahead and got PILEDRIVED onto my roof.......Despite thi and after tow and some spirited determined driving i slowly ticked up from 29th place to 10th 2 hours later! Having lots of fun and easily on pace given the field wasnt that fast. I managed to unlap myself passing 7,6,5,4,3,2,1 along the way to get back to 10th. With about 50 mins to go some twit who had just left the pits slammed the door on me while i was already nose in front going into the turn after the pit exit. Everything went sour from there. Eventually i got so mad at the stupid flag that I ignored it and refused to come back in for repairs. I was determined to finish the race... Little did I know....I got DQ'd for not pitting to fix repairs i did not need seeing i was still running 1:43 with the splitter dragging heavily on the banking and brake zones. Day done. Fun while it lasted but why do people who are many laps down and leaving pits get in way?

Still very fun though!. I cannot wait for the Sebring event!!

Why didnt i pit :ouch: why didnt i pit :ouch: :/ I didn't know I would get DQ'd! All that hardwork for nothing! I had but 11 spin on my own! Flawless racing till the twit hit... I would have alteast finished in the top 20 with all of the damage.

It all started well, my splits quali times were very close I started from 10th and managed to get up to 5th. Held 5th place for about the first 45 minutes till I hit the outside curb on the first hairpin wrong wich sent me spinning to the grass. I safely rejoined in 8th and at about the hr mark going into T1 with 9th right on my wing I hit a Mustang that had gone a bit wide. So first stop and free repairs I take a full load of fuel and tires. I managed to get back to 14th but as some of the leaders were coming by one of them braked to almost a stand still on the first hairpin and I couldn't avoid him. So no major damage but enough to make me way slow on the staright, having to push like hell on the infield to stay close enough to 14th palce's draft. At the 2hr mark I was making so many mistakes that I just decided to quit before I damage my SR further...
 
To make it better.Even if i had not been DQ'd and was still in the race it would be 10 mins left right now.But about 5 mins ago my WI-FI signal dropped for a good 3 mins....I would have been Disconnected with 15 mins to go...Wow when the odds are stacked against you finishing...I must have not just seen a black cat....I must have been circled by it..
 
Finished 4th in the Mustangs in my split, satisfied with that.
