Hey Jav. Thanks for responding mate. I have been doing heavy re-modeling, digging, and moving all day. All on 4 hours of sleep. Yet, I can't seem to fall asleep. I am still in disbelief. It's a crazy opportunity and I feel so lucky to have it.

You are right about GT5. I absolutely have to give it my best effort.

I have never had the opportunity to race with Bryan on the iRacing service.. But I did watch him race his 370z in the Continental Tire Series the other night from my DVR. Awesome, awesome stuff. He even got pole for the race!

Damn! I miss that race! Speed's programing sucks! Anything not NASCAR related gets the weirdest timeslots!
 
Say, I got a challenge for anyone with the Nationwide COT: Try to beat the pole time of 2'13.07 set by Nelson Piquet Jr at Road America. And if you can, post a video of it. I failed miserably at doing so in rFactor so maybe someone in iRacing will have better luck:)

It was on Speed, I had set the reminder for the race, was scheduled for Friday at 12PM EST. Also, any BrightHouse users here gaving trouble loging on to Speed2?

That's why I have the DVR set to record that series. The time slots are nuts. Almost impossible to happen upon one of these races.

I think it must have been on Speed as well. It showed up on my DVR. (Directv)

EDIT - For clarification, I am talking about Mid-Ohio. Recorded at 9am PST, 6/17, on SPEEDHD (according to my DVR).

Ok after 2 seasons the Skip really baffles me...what do you think I should do

1. keep racing a bit and wait until series ends and race the Mp4 (which I really want!!)

2. suggest a simpler car to race. SM? Not sure if SM is considered easy but surely better tan the skip?

Not yet, got the TV and still have to pay my grandad €400 for that, €300 of which I already have. And then €400 for the desktop and €50 for a year of iRacing.
 
Really enjoying getting back into iracing. I've got the tire model down pat and I just started consistently getting into the 1:01's on okayama. I dont really want to rank to license B though, a couple more races and I'll be C 4.0.

By the end of next race my rating will hit the big 2k as well :D.

Where you close to a whole number? As when you reach .00 iRacing gives you a bit extra, whereas when you go below .00 you loose hat extra.

I believe it adds/removes exactly .50 (it could be .40) when you get to a whole number (x.00) and what it looks like is he got the .50 then lost .02 in that same race making it .48 or got .40 and gained .08 on top of that

Yep this is correct. It also drops the same amount at whole numbers. So if your 3.02 and have just and incident or two you will go down to 2.50. That's why my road SR is so low right now at 2.25 :(.
 
Ya, I'm having trouble maintaining a Class C 2.xx road, I've gotten it up to about 2.4 then it just falls and rises and just is stuck in that zone, I've been lucky I haven't fallen below 2.0, but I've come real close, I'm at 2.16 now and I've stuck to hosted sessions recently.
 
Hopefully I can get a race in this week. There seems to be absolutely no participation in Proto and GT Fixed series this week. I found tons of speed too :(

It'll be .40 then. In the race he would've got .08 then the extra .40 making the .48.

There's no way he could gain .50 and lose .02 in the same race.

Got to do my 2 races for the week. Won both of them, the first was alone. And the second race was probably the best Ford GT and maybe even the best race I've had with another member ever or in a really long time. In 25 minutes I think we passed each other about 30 times. Seriously good stuff. All clean too. Race pace was crazy fast as well. I'm so pumped!
 
I was getting frustrated lately with my lack of skills. There was hosted room for trucks at Charlotte with old folks as they called it. It was a great time every race we did even if I wasn't fastest, battles all over the track. It brought back the smile I missed lately.
 
Just had the worst race. Somehow a rookie got put in with all of us higher class races and completely messed up everyones start, 4 points for everyone.

Later on, 3 times during the race my water tank turned on because of people using the toiler. EVERY DAMN time that stupid thing turns on, my speakers crackle, followed by my LCD monitor turning off for 5 or so seconds. That happened 3 times, 3 times my screen turned off. What in the world is the cause of it, it's driving me insane.
 
Your sim rig is on the same breaker as your water tank. Your drawing too much power for that breaker. Youll need to switch your sim rigs plug to a different breaker and the problem will go away. Had the same issue, but mine was a electric heater my son was using in the garage.
 
I've found a temporary solution. I've moved the speaker that was closest to the monitor about 30cm away. It is still crackling, I guess from the reason you just suggested but it's no longer doing it near the monitor, which seems to have fixed it.

I came in here pretty mad, something that stupid ruined my whole race.
 
Oh I know its the water tank as it's on the other side of the wall in my room and I hear the thing every time it turns on -.-.
