I've been on school holidays and on my days off of work I've done probably well over 5+ per day just as something to do.

Usually though I'll do around 4-5 a week.

The more I am on, the more I think I'm much more comfortable in oval racing period.

I raced Michigan in Trucks last night with strong run even if 4 laps down (had emergency bathroom break). I love that track but it took some practice to understand how to run it. One day I'll own more tracks to run trucks if I ever get C class.

Have they said when they might expect to get Rockingham added? I know they scanned it recently.

Anyone else take their poll online?

Gotta love the fools of iRacing:

That's the first SS race I have ever backed out of.

Legendary
I have noooo idea. He backed out right afterward without a word.

Probably some rookie who just wrecks people because they can. I hate boneheads like that, and big reason why I don't run legends anymore.

I think the 2 biggest complaints I have are guys who cause leaders issues for no real reason and ones who wreck while not understanding how to either get out of the way or holding the brakes.

I've hit plenty of guys who at last min as you try avoid their wreck let off brakes at last min to get right in your way.

I've hit plenty of people who don't just run off the track and racing line but instead lock the brakes in everyone's path. In the end it's better to take the 1 point for being off course over the 4 points for having people slam into you.

Yeah one gripe about this game is you get points against you if someone slams you, i know its probably impossible for the game to know whos fault it was but darn.

Well look at real racing. If someone else slams into you, you're still done right?

Yes but if someone takes you out, you get points too. It doesn't make sense til you think about how the stuff work. I do think some of their penalties are a little aggressive. You barely drop wheel off, or rub the wall or tap someones rear/side while racing with no issues you get a point.

I agree with some of the off track 1x's. They aren't bad at most places (like, not annoying me), but at tracks like Spa they are just ridiculous. The racing line is the 1x point there.

But, again in real racing. It doesn't matter whose fault the crash was. Both people get affected.

I keep suggesting a "my fault" button where within say 10 seconds after an incident with another car you can "claim fault" and remove the incident points from the other person. If you don't claim fault, it just defaults back to the original system where everyone gets points.

I know I'm not the only one that can man up and say "yeah, sorry, that was my fault." I can't see any negatives with this approach to SR, and I think it would make quite a few people happy, but it's been ignored by iRacing ever since the first time my old roommate suggested it on his account back in like 2009.

You know, there's a whole thread for this argument right here https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=253606.

Can we not spread it into this one too please?

That's a pretty sweet idea to be honest.

I think for the most part the penalty system is pretty fair, but Spa most definetly needs to be reworked. The S curves after the straight from en rouge is just horrible. You put even 1 wheel on the curb (not over) and you get a short cut penalty. That is very frustrating when you cant use the curbing to get around that corner.

And some of that curbing on Spa has the overhang and I have gotten 1x just by going on the green overhang, I think maybe a mirror clipped the 1x zone, because my tire was definitely not in the sand trap.

well heres hoping Mp4 comes ou for Season 3

I can't remember where it was said, but I think iRacing already announced that it wasn't going to make Season 3 but most likely season 4. Bummer

Speaking of new cars, I haven't really kept up. What ever happened to the RUF they were building since they couldn't work with Porsche?

I for some reason really want to drive one of the RWD GT Porsche, I guess because it's a pretty popular car for that class. Mazda RX8 would be pretty nice to add.

The Ruf was just announced during 2012 Season 1. Don't get too worked up about it not being out or not hearing anything new about it. Since they said it was a "partnership", many seem to believe it'll get developed a lot faster than most of the other cars.

Eric.

I just randomly thought about it, don't worry things don't happen as fast as we want with iracing with new things usually.

How long does it usually take to make a car for them? I know the MP4 should be almost done. After hearing about the HSV-10. I WANT NAOW! haha

Oh man I'd love to see the Speedsource RX8 come to the service!

I'd pretty much donate a testicle to science for a Grand Am spec RX-8. :)

I'm pretty sure you'd regret it after a while.

Most of the GT based Grand-AM cars are just awesome overall but that one looks pretty sharp, sounds great, and seems to be a pretty big following. I'm actually surprised they haven't come out with it considering the Mazda MX5
