When are the license promotions? I currently have a 3.54 D license, but i dont have enough races in D license series because i dont have the money for the courses. Although if things work out with my finances i might have some spending money soon.

When you reach 4.0 I believe or do 4 races @ 3.0, end of the month promotions are for rookies only
 
We have promotions at the end of the season(end of week 13) for non rookie drivers. Kevin are you sure you don't meet the MPR? all you needed is 2 races at Okayama on the GTC last week...

Edit: sorry, that's 4 races for D class and up.

It wants me to do 4 races on "D" level series, right now those 3 series are at places i dont have. Ive been running the heck out of okayama and it still says im not eligible. Ill just have to get my SR above 4 i guess, thats how i got to D.
 
Yeah, last week the GTC was at Okayama, if you did 4 races there last week you're good.(only counts if the races went official)

But hey im running in the top splits with the Mazda and Street Stock series now, so ready to move on to something else though. Once the new tracks come out next week i might pick one up, i want to get some time in the Mustang because eventually thats the series i want to do, along with the DP. Looking forward to driving the Vette as well.

Sweet! The schedule is already out, I posted it a few pages back. Maybe you'd want to give it a look so you get a better idea at what series is running where.

Ahhh, i see the GTC is starting with Daytona Road, ill be getting that one. Also there will be a Spec Racer Ford series that kicks off at Watkins Boot, that should give me some more variety. Daytona Road is my favorite course on GT5, looking forward to doing that for sure.

I'm thinking about it and the DP looks like a good candidate, maybe DP/Caddy. We just finished thisone abouth a month or so ago so maybe in a few weeks I'll be gauging interest for a new one on Saturdays @ 20GMT.

Awesome race Blaze! I had a lot of fun on the opening laps but about 3/4 in I was just by myself and a bit bored. Couldn't close the gap to you as I was caught up on a fight for 4th for the first 10 laps. Congratz on the win! You're pretty damn fast on that track!
 
So I need a new cockpit really bad and I'm pretty much sold on the Granstand Cockpit but this new deal 2 yrs for $99 has me confused. I'm not sure if I should spend $135 on 2 years and the V8, brands hatch, and take advantage of the 2 for 1 impala class B an National impala........ or buy the cockpit for $425
 
If I was in your shoes I would go for the rig. You will be happier with that longer and for every race game you play from now on. Plus you can add the cars and tracks as you get a few extra bucks. Its only 4 months till the black friday deal and I believe theres a 2 year option then also.

Speaking of black friday deal, what is the usual promo?

I actually haven't raced in about a week or so, just haven't felt it this week whatever reason. I guess I'm really waiting to get to C class oval for trucks. I doubt I ever do much on road side, it is so unnatural for me honestly.

I think you're right, my membership isn't up until April and my current desk is barely stable enough for my DFGT and it slides when I use my clubsport pedals

Not sure what rig you are looking at, but I just bought a rseat gtr V2 that should be here Monday or Tuesday. I'll let you know how it is. I had a homemade rig before made out of 2x4 and it worked great and was dirt cheap. I just got sick of not being stable with the stiffer springs and I finally gave in and bought a rig.......can't wait to try it out.

Also it was in sale because V3 came out. I saved like $140

I downloaded the free trial one, and was going to us it for event other weekend. I just never got around to getting it setup, or a mount for my phone to hold it.

The granstand cockpit is made out of 80/20 so I can Modify it over time and is $425 even though it has a little bit of wobble, it's not much and I can strengthen it over time. For my situation it's the option. that Rseat is close (maybe even better) but I talked myself out of it. However this price drop has me second guessing myself, and I'm pretty sure everyone here knows by now how bad I am at making decisions :lol:.

So I just had the second highest finish since I left Rookie:D, I started 3rd (Mustang Challenge), the second place guy dropped all the way to the back in 2 laps and a Non-Qualifier finished 1st 20 seconds ahead of me. It was a pretty uneventful race, I overshot the chicane, and that was just about the only bad point of the race

Maybe start a new league when iRacing puts out there new league system?

Remember the gtr is for the Logitech wheels. But for the savings, you can fit other wheels on it with some work.

The V3 is made for all wheels.

Ya, great minds think a like.:) I hope this time people that register actually come out to race.
 
Especially now that we know what time to plan around already from the caddy cup (20 GMT right?) if we start in August, I'll miss 2 races but oh well
