I'd love a button box, but not in my price budget right now. It's hard to try pit under green, and change things.

I uncheck them during the 1 minute count down before the green lights or starting the parade lap.

I'm pretty sure they reset to on when you enter the pits again though unless you found a way around that......

Edit: on a side note, after trying to get my pedals right all day pumping out bubbles in the shock dampener. I think I'm pretty close to finished (I have a little more air but I can let it sit over night and see :nervous: ) but I am probably going to run my DFGT pedals this week (and get my $4 :) for 8 weeks of participation in the mustang challenge)and switch over to my CSP V2 just in time for Week 13. I flipped the angle spacer and moved the pedals down a notch and they feel much better

After you hit the grid button if you uncheck them they stay that way unless you leave the track before green and rejoin. After you pit once though they turn back on.

I made that part of my in grid routine, now I do itautomatically!

I too do this religiously whilst waiting for the green lights.

If I ever need to pit I try and uncheck them on the outlap. I try todo it then as I'm not fully up too speed yet.

Also something I learned just recently is the F9 button. It lets you adjust the mirrors up, down, in and out. Great little feature that is. I dont know if it works with the virtual mirror though. I raced for months not knowing about that.

I have a question regarding the use of the G27:

Does it always have to grind it's gears under heavy braking? Everytime I stamp on the brakes in corners I have to take in 2nd gear I feel the wheel trying to go both sides and it makes that awfull gear grinding sound that I remember from rallying in GT5. I don't think my wheel is at fault since it doesn't do this in other sims. Any tips on how to properly set a G27 in iRacing?

Don't stomp on the brakes.

I thought of that, but it's not like I press the pedal fully. With the pedal spring I have, it's actually quite hard doing so. But it's a good advice, so I'll try and brake more gently and see if it works, thanks!

I have a G27 and encountered shaking/grinding this issue with the MX5 cars. As Superbike81 said I learned to not stomp brake. In one of the threads or posts I believe they said this has to do with the real MX5s having ABS?

I have no issue with my pedal springs. Have you calibrated the pedals in the logitech drivers and than within the iRAcing game?

OT...great GT Planet name!! haha
:)

The shaking is the front tires locking up, every wheel does it. Remember there's no ABS on iRacing so you need to learn how to modulate that pedal.

Edit:I'm pretty sure their training videos say that the solstice has ABS.

Speaking of ABS, does the FR500 have it or is it just kind of shallow braking?

For next season I'm thinking about going for a different series, but they're so many great cars/series to run in. Which car should I buy?

-Riley Daytona
-Corvette
-V8 supercar
-Mustang

Well for me it would be between the Riley and Vette, I love the idea of the V8 as I love that series IRL but that's a car I'm yet to master.

I heard from so many people that the v8 supercar is a 🤬 to drive. I am leaning more towards the Riley I'm not sure what type of transmission it has. It's a sequential correct?

Hopefully after tonight I'll be B class on the oval side so I'll be running the Indy ovals open series. Will have a look at any new fixed series they add as well.

Road is currently 2.18 so will try ngoni increase that so I can run the Lotus 79 as that thing is a beast to drive.

Hi guys
Just got promoted to d license on road.
Really having a hard time what to do next, car and track selection.
Any tips?

For track start with the popular ones like Watkins glen and Spa

For cars most people either pick the Mustang or Skippy, or you can decide to not get any D-Class cars and just get tracks that the GTC runs until you become Class C

When you make Class C you have the Riley, vette, GT, V8 super cars, I may have missed one too.

Personally, I only have the GT and Riley, and I like them both but I think I wish I went with the vette instead of the GT just because of participation numbers, but this season 3 build may change things up quite a bit
