I don't know how else to say this, but if you want to stay out of trouble simply DO NOT RACE ANYONE!! There's an incredible ammount of idiots on the rookie series, specially on week 13! You want SR, start from the pits and let the morons go at it! Guaranteed you'll come up on both SR and iR! and no just doing a lap and parking it does not bump your SR, you need to run for that. SR is a calculation of how many corners you go trough and how many incidents you have in between.
If anything, just do qualifying and you'll still get SR!

I wasn't, I was letting cars pass me just so I could stay out of trouble, yet I still get caught up in it.. If I was at 2.90, I would just shrug it off, but 2.99? Thats annoying

dude sorry to hear that you missed it, just keep doing TTs and race from the pits as they say to pump it up to 4.00 :D good luck

Stay out of trouble and you'll get to D in 3 races! Yes that means starting from the pits and not racing anyone! Someone comes up to you let them go, you come up to someone back off and let him go! Do this and you'll be D class tonight!

Well if you hadn't taken revenge on that guy who nearly spun you at the Corkscrew then you would be D already.. :sly:

I can get to 4.00 that fast?

Sure! Get a no incidents race now and you'll be bumped to over 3.50, keep the streak going and I'm pretty sure you'll get there 2 races after that! Getting SR at the Rookie level is pretty easy if you keep out of trouble! Remember the more corners go by without incidents the more SR you'll earn each race, the incident per corner count doesn't stop when the race is over.

Yeah just keep your nose clean as best you can, sometimes you get the random 0.50+ SR which really helps!

As stated above, just try to stay out of trouble and control what you can control.

By thew way, the "random" SR gains/losses come when you pass a whole number. eg 2.89 > 3.53 or 3.41 > 2.68

^ Ah so thats where that comes from, makes sense now.

So whos doing what this week? Ive come to the conclusion that i want to save my money for a PC so im not downloading anything new for a while. This week im concentrating on the Spec Racer Ford @ The Glen. Gonna try to put those tuning notes to work, thanks again Jav.

Man am I slow or what, I ran a 1:41.2 mustang at Laguna Seca and put me 15th out of like 36 people or something. The fastest was a 1:37.775 and the top 10 is high 1:38 to low 1:39, I don't know what to do

Going to put my main focus into Mustangs and Late Models this season. And at least getting one race a week in the SRF and Skip Barber. Possibly joining in Grand Am with the Mustang too.

Edit: And with promotions happening today, I'm now B2.31 Road licensed. :D

Guys since when did we get the National car for free? I know I haven't bought that car and today while messing arround with the paints I saw it there on my cars!

Has anyone else here not leveled up on purpose? I dont see anything in B class that intrests me so I kept my irating below 3.0 on purpose. I figured why move up and make it harder on my safety rating when I see nothing in B class worth joining.

What do you all think of the Barber track?

It is in the series I am interested in but never had reason to buy it. Right now I have these in my cart:

Barber Motorsports Park
Twin Ring Motegi (also needed)
Chevrolet Corvette C6.R GT1 (just for fun)

^barber is decent, it's not hard nor easy, is just..... Mediocre to me, the only track I really hate is Mid-Ohio. But it's probably best to get every track over time, if it's in your series get it.

If you bought the impala class B before the 24th you got the national with it, now they are separate

Cadillac and Miata cup, Mosport and Limerock, two tracks which I love to bits 👍 with some GT5 on the side (don't shoot me..:p) Attempting to get my safety rating up to 4.00 so I can be promoted, but I'm in no rush.

Once you make it to D it's like you can breathe again since you aren't fighting off villains  although the weird ones occasionally show up.

But honestly, even with as crappy as iracing plays on my laptop its loads better than GT5. It has even lead me to put my PS3 up for sale because outside of GT5 i didnt use it much. Now all i want is money to help give me a PC that allows me to enjoy the game to its full potential. I wish i had hopped on this train years ago!

Why did they make the Cadillac cup a Rookie event? Most rookies I've seen can barely handle the Miata, sticking them in something with almost three times the power just seems like a recipe for disaster.

It is lol. I joined an open practice for the Caddy cup at Mosport earlier and as soon as the game loaded. In the background were 2 cars smashing into each other off track. Great session :p

Then i noticed that becausee you need to stop the car to get off the track rookies tend to just find any old place in the middle of the racing line to park it before they dissapear.

Approaching a car at 107 mph parked in the middle of the essses at Mosport then tractor beam away is pretty unnerving. And when they dont tractor beam away.lets just say LOL.

I am a rookie in road racing, and I will say this...I suck in the Miata to high heaven, but I do much better in the DP/Caddy that I have driven. You seem to get away with some mistakes on those to vs Miata honestly.

It goes the same on oval side for me, took me a little bit to get used to legends. Trucks/late models and I can run within second of the leader without much practice.

I can't explain why that is, or anything but I'm sure I am not the only one.
