I'm kind of curious how the cadillac and Late Model compare with a little bit of weight. The Late Model is relatively easy to drive but harder to setup but the cadillac is harder to drive but a little easier to setup for me and both have horsepower in the 400 range. If I had internet (at home) and time, I'd throw together a session but I have neither sadly.

If we could get that to work, we could do MP4 & GT in a points class, and Cadillac and Late Model in a points class :)

I don't think he was riled up, I'll admit I read his post and thought it was a bit harsh at first, but he's right and constructive criticism is good.

You've got it. 👍

Keep racing and pushing until you reach your limit.

Also, just remember its the internet, so "tone" is difficult to express in just words. Not trying to have a dig at people here, just remember that, and I specifically wrote that in my post at Mac as well.

I just find it funny, I tell a fellow racer that he can go faster and people are all up in arms. I tell all my staff that they need to be the no.1 in everything they do. Life hardly ever gives second chances, need to push the limit. I think the great sportsman like Senna, Michael S etc never liked to be 2nd best, they were very aggresive and pushed every limit. I try to channel the same energy in every aspect of my life.

I am competitive.

I race to win.

I want to win everything and more.

I want to be no.1.

On a side note, I just got my new gloves :D

Summit SRF/MX5/Legends just for fun

I've recruited several people from my GT5 league to iRacing and they are just getting started. We are hosting an open session tomorrow and any who wish to join are welcome.

My league mates are courteous, clean racers and I would be very happy if you would join us to welcome them to the service and have some fun.

90 mins practice
15 mins qualifier
15 mins race

The cars may not be balanced but that doesn't matter for this fun run.

I've been crossposting this a bit, so sorry for the annoyance if you've seen it already.

Sounds fun! I'll drop by and do some laps with you guys!

Just bought road america for the grand am series.. and this has to be my favorite track for the Riley. Especially the flat out right hand turn mid track. I'm only about 20 practice laps in and i'm already in the low 200.xx's, anybody else love this track?

Oh yeah! RA is awesome! Wait till you try the Riley on Watkins Glenn!

I've been running the riley since last january, The glen was my favorite, I think I was away for a few weeks last season and missed RA in the schedule haha

I believe you're talking about the Kink right?

I would hope so, or somebody is gonna be setting new records going flat out elsewhere. :lol:

I used to like Watkins Glen in the Riley, but 8 turn get's boring quite fast (cup version). It's a fast track, but after doing it several times as my first track in the Riley I was bored throughout the race this season.

Road America was a great track to race on. Lot's places that can be used to overtake and the track is flowing great when you get the rhythm for it.

But is Sebring the only American track that have pit garages? Even though lot's of the American tracks feel great to race it do feel a bit empty in the pit row. :scared: Feels like something is missing :P

VIR is extreme

I ran in a hosted race on grand east in the Radical and I think I still have emotional scars. I never gave up but maybe I should have... :)

VIR is fine, if you're the only car on the track.

I'm racing next Sunday at Zolder in the Radical, I might have 2 hours of seat time now. :nervous:

I'm thinking of changing my entry to the Radical... Will be kind of tough to keep it clean and on track the whole 2.4 hrs, but I think I can manage it with a good setup!

Alright boys and girls, Ford GT or Corvette? I'm thinking of running one next season and can't decide between the two.

The Ford is too twitchy and on the very fine limit the whole time for me, but then again I'm used to the high slip angles of the Corvette... I'd look into participation figures before making the purchase. Just go to spectator sessions during a GT Challenge race to get a good idea on what people are running.

Might also see what they do about switching those cars around some more, because they won't leave them alone. I can't get a grip on the Ford to be able to put down competitive times at all. It seems very setup dependent as well.

Eric.

The Vette is definitely way more setup dependant than The GT.

Hey I have a quick question, this has been bothering me for a while, you know in rF or simbin, you can turn of motion cockpit off, ie when you drive your dashboard does not bounce around but your environment does when you go through bumps and stuff.

in iRacing you when go through bumps the dashboard (Especially in skippy) move so much , and make it so "un-immersive" unless you have motion system like Xsim or D-Box since our seat is not moving , is there a way to turn this off?

I'm not sure if I see the problem.. the sim simulate you being in a car because you actually do not have a motion seat. And you want it to feel like bumper view in GT5.

Well as I'm not sure what you mean by this as it just sound silly to me I can't say this is what your after, but you could try go into your app.ini and scroll down to [View]

Change
DriverHeadWobble=1.000000

Into
DriverHeadWobble=0.000000

And you have a really un-immersive feel to you sim. Of course you could try 0.500000 or something else
0 = 0 %
1 = 100%

thanks Erik I'll give it a go.
no not bumper view in GT5 still in-cockpit view. hmm like in GSC you know when you turn your car, the outside environment turn but the cockpit kind of stays. well. replace the word "turn" to "bump"
thanks for that ini file , I saw them long ago but didn't want to messed it up, I guess, could't hurt to try :P
Thanks mate

Hit a 59.8 after a few laps, baseline set-up really suits Lime Rock.
