Dallara
Single 55 screen
Optimal FOV? I am set at 115 to see tip to tip on mirrors.
Optimal seat height setting? Have no clue what is best.
Thanks anybody, Vince
bazylfoxCongrats Carlos
Have you used free 3-months Caddilac option ?
I did a lot of Time Trials, Quali at the begining and my first race was a disaster (28 inc)
But 2 days later i won my first race in Mazda
Best luck mate!
Practice, practice, practice, practice, practice, practice, practice.
I gave it at least a week before trying a race.
JavIs it just me, or is this just a sucky week on iRacing??
I'm just not feeling it this week, my regular series is at Daytona wich isn't really one of my favorite tracks. The only series that I've done is the GT-C at Road America and may race the Star Mazda on Spa, but other than that the rest of the series are just not doing it for me...
I brought this to going a page or two ago. Guess you missed it lol. Nobody responded so...
JavIt isn't just me then!! Lol!
Guys I know iRacing has its own Grand Am premier series, but that race is 90 minutes long and DP/Mustang... I was wondering if there would be enough interest to do our own Rolex Sports Cars Championship finale using the DP and Cadillac on a 50 minute race nest week?

By that I actually mean to use private test sessions. Once you can keep the car on track multiple laps try moving up to the open practice sessions and keep at it some more. I gave it at least a week before trying a race. Get used to the car/track so that you could potentially drive 20+ laps without spinning, going off the course, or hitting anybody. Then you might try racing.
Congrats Carlos

I will! I don't want to ruin anybodys race, and don't want my rating to go bad. Have to learn a lot of circuits to, alot of them are new to me.
Thanks for the advice! 👍
Yes that's the one. I'm not planning to win races in 2 daysI'll probably do what Eric did, practice at least a week.. I haven't played yet, no time
Maybe this weekend.. I'll post how the first experience was

My gas pedal won't stay floored. iRacing options and Thrustmaster control panel. Bobbles around at top of axis chart. It's making me race slower. Help anyone?

Hi guys.
Today I signed up for iRacing! I have a question regarding the calibration of the wheel. In the menu for setting the wheel up it has a box saying Enable Force Feedback. It wont allow me to tick this box. I continued anyyway and when I go to track there is no feeling with the wheel. It has a light feel to it, no resistance.
Also with my pedals they flicker on the on screen info bars. The throttle and brake flicker in the bars and never go to the maxiumn. Would this be a problem with pedals?
Any help greatly appreciated:tup:

My last races went pretty decent on Jefferson course, racing against the top drivers of the championship.
The only thing i want to know is when i am allowed to report someone?
there are a lot of drivers who ignore the blue flags.
I was in 4th position 15 seconds behind the leader and making my move on third place. but a driver who get lapped "slower then me" didn't move his car.
I could do a agressive move to try a pass like it was for position. But whit these lapped cars you never know how they react and on a narrow track like Jefferson very risky. So i got stuck and lost about 7 seconds when there came a second car in play. Also he does not let me pass, becaus he is alot slower i drove almost directly behind hem. I felt a incident was going to happen. Before the back straight at the exit of the corner i hit the brakes very strong, a moment later the backmarker was going sideways. I prevented a incident before it happent, of course i lost a lot of time on the straight and the car behind me closed a big gap in no time. I defended my position for 5 laps, the last lap of the race i had again a very small gap. only in the final corner the same backmarker blocks me untill the very last corner. The guy behind me just gave me a tap in the LAST corner when passing was not possible. i got 4 inc-points.
I got a nice race from 7th to 3th in my class against guys who were faster, i prevented incidents even before they happent, I was consistent and made 0,000 mistakes. Still i got a negative SR. I didn't lose much but what can you do more as a driver to prevent incidents?
As far as incident points go, try not to worry about them so much. As long as you are keeping your SR above 2.0 you aren't in any danger of losing a license class. Think of it as "money in the bank" and just enjoy your racing. Incidents are going to happen, even being a safe and courteous driver won't prevent them all.
