Time Trials must be completed at your license level, yes. It says so in the sporting code. (Yes, I read it. Once I realized how much I like iRacing, yeah, I knew I had to learn the rules.)

I did a time trial in the street stock, and it still says I have to do 4 time trials/races in your license class or above.

No, as long as you complete either of the 2 you're elegible for promotion.
So, I guess I'm qualified 82nd currently just before the final qualifying session. So, I bet I will lose a few more positions. I'm just looking to finish the race. Going to be tons of attrition, and I think if you miss all the crashes, you will finish in the top 10 easily.

I bet no GT's finish with the way some of these HPD guys are driving. Absolutely crazy stuff. I've run the Ford GT for a whole season so, I know what they are going through and often give them some breathing room lol.
Qualied 39th here, looks like I'll be at the rear of the second split...
I'm not confident enough in the HPD to be a total asshole with those kinds of passes. :)

Though I did sneak by a Corvette in the esses in that video above, there was enough room.

You can squeeze by at the top of the esses if both guys know what they're doing, the bottom ones are the real danger spot.

One last thing guys, keep it away from the edge of the track on the run to the chicane! Speially in the Vette, if you touch the grass it'll snap into the wall and you're guaranteed a 7 minute repair at the very least!

I didnt qualify was going to, but there was over 90 people signed up to qualify so decided to take my chances. I figured with 20 or more people on the track to qualify I wouldnt get a clean lap in anyway Good luck all...

Risky strategy, hopefully you're iRating will pull you trough to a good split away from all the crazies!

T minus 8 minutes and 353 entries!!

That's the trouble with not qualifying. Non qualifiers are in "bottom splits", then ordered by iRating.

I calculated 3.1 full tanks to get to the end of 150 minutes in the HPD. Could be some interesting fuel strategies from me since I like toying with that sort of stuff. Might short fill the second and third pit stops to make the pit stop time shorter.

Can't believe I'm gonna say this, but it would be kind of nice to have working cautions for this long races.

T minus 3 minutes and 472 registered entries!

So two stops, possibly a third if you can't stretch it to fit the last tenth?

Suddenly, crickets. I bet people feel bad for me, for missing such a race, but, heh, I'll be getting my Jetta soon. Then, hopefully, onwards to BTCC!!

^Funny you mention that, I'm considering a switch to the Jetta or maybe the Ford Falcon in preparation for the BTCC Honda Civic.
I plan on completing a full season of Star Mazda next season though, I might just do odd races in one or the other, or maybe do a full season in one but only compete in one race per week or something.

I'll see which one I have most of the tracks already for and go with that one.

I guess street stock isn't class D, then.

Street stock is rookie class, so with D license you need a D class series to improve MPR. But I read that in week 13 you can race with the street stock car and improve MPR from rookie class up to B class. Thats what I am going to do, because I don't own any of the cars needed for D class oval at the moment.

polarbear345
goodness...

Seems like a purchase is needed to get through the D oval....

That was my delema too. I already asked here for any advice, which car to buy. But yesterday I noticed the news regarding week 13. As long as I am not wrong, I will go that way. Because in C class there is again a street stock series :-)

I want to race indycars on ovals!

You and I should race together in BTCC, then. When's the Civic coming?

I decided to purchase the Radical today and see if it's as good as people say it is. OH GOD, it's the most fun car I've ever driven, this car is so much more fun then the Riley, Star mazda, Skippy ect. The speed is mind boggling, the grip is amazing and it occasionally slides that you can control. There's no doubt I will be doing a season in this car, especially with the new time schedule and more racers.

Hour into it, running 10th place, having a blast. Coming onto the start finish straight and my screen goes black, then my wheel shakes all over from hitting something, maybe someone.

UAC window pops up asking for permission for jucheck.exe to run.

Back to the sim, car has been written off, luckily I only turned too far, hit the inside wall, spin and flipped in the grass and didn't collect anybody else.

To rub salt in the wound, my Java platform was up to date.

I'mma go kill someone at Java HQ, brb.

Yeh, 4 races in a series that is his license class. If you go to the series tab, the series are listed in classes. If you click on the series it also tells you if participating in that series will fulfill your MPR or not.
It's very confusing, took me a while to figure it all out

Ah! Not every race counts, takes the confusing away. Thank you sir!

Little video of a practice session I did last night..

A little luck is never enough

Well. All was going well in 5th place when a 2 lap down HPD tags my rear coming down the hill into the last corner. Totalled the car. Only had 40mins to go :(

Congratulations!

Was the promotion from rookie to D class today?

So if you enter C lass Oval you are ready for the IndyCar :-)

Yep :)

Just bought the Mustang and both Daytona's (For the 10% discount) And the car is a blast! Now I just need the Indycar and I will start collecting tracks!

Nice! I just bought the Mustang also! I think I'll wait for the next season to start, then I know what circuits I have to buy. Can't find the schedule for next season though, is it out yet?
