It turns out my Logitech profiler settings match the recommended ones I posted before :)
it's been a while since I've even looked.

Here's the in-game settings:

I don't know where the 873° came from, that seems to be an iracing thing.
When I calibrate in iRacing options I do go all the way left / right / center. Then for step 2 I do exactly 90 degress / center. I haven't changed these settings in a very long time.

For ovals I turn down the FFB a little to save my right shoulder.

I have my in game FFB settings a lot higher than that and it feels like i could have them higher still. Are there any recommended settings for the DFGT users on here? What about that .ini file that ive heard about, how does that work?

I believe these are the settings you are looking for my friend. Everyone should give this a try it makes a huge difference in the FF feeling. http://members.iracing.com/jforum/posts/list/2023748.page

Just got promoted! Yay! Having lots of fun with the Spec Racer. It has a funky handling though, didn't even felt like a RWD car...

I racing says they have 35000+ members. It is hard to believe though. It does exist since 2008. I just noticed i have customer ID 100000(something) Assuming i am customer 100 000. That means that at 5 years 35% members still are active. That means only 65% of people who signed up for a day/week/month/year(s) are gone. I find this number quite low one a five year life. + counting alot of members who got a second/third acount.

I am guessing this game has 10 or 15 000 active users. Maybe another 5000 who jump in from time to time.

Welcome to weight transfer. You can have all kinds of steering with hardly moving the wheel :)

SRF is very rewarding to drive once you get the hang of it but it requires constant vigilance.

Thanks for the advice guys. I think I'm going with the Mustang cup, don't know what else I should do for now. I'm almost Rookie 4.0 so it's time to buy the car and the first 3 circuits!

I just won the easiest race of my life... Started fourth, no one was in the second grid spot, third place was slow, and I got him on the first straight. I got the lead in turn 3, when first place missed his apex, and then didn't track out, at all. So, I went on the outside; no contact, but the pass left 2nd place helpless and angry. He spun in turn 4, and I was in the lead by three seconds on the first lap; Vettel style. Directly after, finished the race, no incidents. I'm going for my 4.00 promotion soon, I've decided not to wait for promotion day.

What do you mean with 4.0 promotion? Are there different ways to get promoted? I only know the promotion dates..

If your SR is over 4.0, and you have fulfilled your MPR, you automatically get promoted or 'fastracked'
I just did it yesterday, took me 5 races in the MX5

I just got 4.0 in oval, and got promoted;

I now have 3.36 SR, do I just need to get that to 4.0 and MPR and ill be good to go to C?

Yep, that's what I'm doing now. Up to 3.83, I want to get to C so I can do some of the V8 series next season if I'm up to it.

Okay, so, I ran a clean race until lap 18, when someone tapped me, and I got loose; racing incident.

But, some jerk (with no damage, full fuel, and no problems) smashed into me, while I was trying to hit the tow button, because I had passed him a lap before, and he rear-ended me. How did my SR not get affected, and his was positive? Shouldn't it be the other way around? If I'm stopped, in a portion of the pit lane, should I not be allowed to just try to stay stationary, and call a tow-truck, to save my SR, by not getting spun again? Shouldn't he be the guy getting the 4x?

I know that they don't assess "faults," but, is it REALLY the fault of the stationary driver, when someone smashes into them at 100 km/h, in pit lane entrance?

Edit** Good win, Eric. I didn't see the multi-class results at first, and thought "why is he so happy about - OH! That makes sense." 👍

You need to meet Minimum Participation Requirement (MPR). At least 4 races or time trials at 4.0 to be fast tracked.

Actually, I'd have to say yes. You should only ever be stopped in grass, on an exit road, or in your pit stall. And in pit lane, people are in a hurry and don't have the time to read what the stopped car is trying to do.

Also could have made the mistake thinking that he would pass through you.

That was a tough race for sure. Started 8th, made my first pitstop with my teammate (Ayrton) when a caution came out with 60 minutes to go. We came back out, for some reason half the MX5 field decided to pit on the second caution lap, so they didn't get to catch the field before restarting. Eventually, Russell Klaesson (our ex-teammate) caught the two of us. We gave him a hard time to get by, I intentionally ran two-wide with him. He turned into me once on a straight. I should have wrecked him right then.

I screwed up about a lap after he got by me and spun. Ayrton had to pit again, Russell got hit by a Mustang and fell back, eventually passing me again.

Had a caution out at the end, which left us with time for two laps of racing. Stefan was first, then Russell, then myself. Very crowded T1, with us MX5s blocking the Mustangs behind us from getting by. We're on the inside, and I hit the brakes just slightly too late and hit Russell in the rear. He spun to the right, inside the track, coming back on, facing the right way, past the exit. I knew he was pissed, so I wasn't going to take advantage of that and pass him. I get through the turn, am right behind him, as he moves to the right a little (assuming to line up with me) and nails the brakes.

I miss him and he collects about half the field. 1.75 laps to go, just chasing down Stefan. On the last lap I was a couple car lengths behind him, he got slowed down from a mass of Mustangs ahead. He missed a shift on the last turn and I was able to cruise by for my first win in the league.

Yeh, 4 races in a series that is his license class. If you go to the series tab, the series are listed in classes. If you click on the series it also tells you if participating in that series will fulfill your MPR or not.
It's very confusing, took me a while to figure it all out

So, Petit LeMans. I'm driving an HPD in the Andretti Green livery.

Qualified with a 1'10.5 (new personal best), and that puts me around 72nd place, last I checked. Hoping to finish, is all I'm really after.

Thanks for the information. I still can't get used to the light steering when driving at speed and straight. This is all pretty confusing to me and might go back to my old settings.

I do know my old profiler was 100% on everything, 200 degrees of rotation and first box checked. It was a very tight steering feel which made me actually feel like the car was into the track not on top of it at times. I tried 100/0/100 like iracing thread about FFB was saying, limited to 360 degrees, same issue. Something is missing and I really don't know where it seems.

Now I know I asked this but that first question in the iracing wheel setup doesn't explain things well at all. It says turn one full to one side then to ther other and back to center, before I could only turn about 90 degrees either way before FFB really limited me (assuming because of rotation). I really never had issues it seemed with being able to control the car in any race so far but I think it kept me from overcorrecting because of being so "stiff" or limited.

Good luck!

I just had a long race with someone who has a girl's name... Turns out, a girl gave a friend her account, and I just had a huge long race with a guy, thinking "wow, it's really awesome, and refreshing to see a girl going that fast." Anyways, that was good racing. :) Might almost be at 4.00.

Edit: 3.95, because of a little bump under braking, (not my fault, but, the computer system doesn't care.) I carried more speed out of T7, so I had to brake earlier for T1.

Sweet! Hope we get the same split! I'll be on the Vette! Looking at a 2 stop race, how's it looking for the HPD? 3 or will it make it on 2 stops?

I'm guessing it's not a full length, ten hour event, then? :dunce:

Edit: I'm about to TT my way up to D class. :)

150 minutes wich pretty much is the lenght of a normal turn behind the wheel for a pro.

Nice, 2.5 hours is effectively a Rolex Sports Car Series race, or an ALMS race (of normal length.) I guess it says something about your mental stability to run ALMS cars, for that length of time. :) Good luck to everyone from GTP who's entered!

Honestly, I don't have a clue. Just gonna run it and pit when I need to pit. If I even make it that long. Driving near other protos is sketchy sometimes, at least in practice.

These are the few times that I wish I had a G27 instead of G25, for extra wheel buttons to map to my mic. In manual transmission cars I have the left paddle as my mic button. Now I have the G25 shifter in sequential mode and pulling back on it cues the mic.
