Rookie series don't count towards earning those credits.

There's quite honestly no more information to give except that there will be a Rolex sister series next year, with whichever GT car seems to be the best fit. For an idea of rules and how everything SHOULD work, check out the rules and stuff at: http://contienduranceseries.wix.com/cescs .

Russell is the one running it, and said he wants to start sign ups in November. I'm expecting the start to coincide with the Continental Series Season 3, which will be the week before or the week after the Daytona 24hr race. Our Rolex series will be on saturdays, every other week, alternating weeks with the Continental series race, at the same track.

I'd also expect us to lose some Continental series drivers who may only run the Rolex full-time, so it wouldn't hurt to get on the Season 3 waiting list for that in case you want to run the Mustang or MX5.

We (49 Motorsports) might also be looking for drivers in the Rolex series. Currently we have three in the Mustang and two in the MX5.

Any of the GT cars(exept the Vette) will work fine with the DP, out of the FGT, Caddy and McLaren the McLaren should be the fastest but not by much over the FGT.
I'll be watching for the Conti series too!

Our guys seem convinced that the Ford will be the fastest of those three. I've saw may posts saying that the GT3 class has fewer restrictions and so they ended up faster. I don't think our Ford GT is really one of the faster GT2s anyway.

I just suggested that, whenever the cars are finally here, that Rolex could be the DP and McLaren, and Conti could be the Cadillac and Civic. I think a real Conti ST car would run laps around our Mustang Challenge car.

That would be pretty sweet! Though it would be more like the Speed World Challenge days, but it would make it more exiting.
On the MP4 vs FGT I guess people are just misslead by the class designation, it used to be tat the lower the number the faster the class but you know the story. It's all down to iRacing and how they make it work, we know how the cars run in real life I'm now anxious to see what they make of all the data and how it translates to the sim.

The Ford GT was never really competitive in ALMS, so that might have something to do with it.. It would be cool if they just released a real Grand-Am GT car to replace the Mustang. The RUF would work nice. A few questions for you guys though..

1. When is the Mclaren coming out? I heard December
2. The Honda Civic? The BTCC version right? What's the release on that?
3. The RUF, will it be a street car? I don't think RUF makes any race cars.

Do I sense BMW M3? I hope so. Conti M3s are awesome. Or Aston Martin.

We have the MX-5, ST is done. Now, make a real GS car, without the rear wing, and a bit more power. As for Rolex SCS, why not run the DP with the GT and GX car classes? Problem is, we don't have any of those; yet.

The RUF will be a street/track car wich is what the real thing really is.
The BTCC car was supposed to be scaned this fall.
McLaren is expected mid season.

Our MX5 is not an ST car, just an MX5 Cup car wich is considerably slower.

Yes sir, indeed they are! Here:

Hi everyone,

this thread is for collecting informations about things being in development so there are less threads about "are there any news about this and that?". If you find information which are not included in this list, please just post them in this thread preferably with a link and I'll put them here in the opening post. I won't list informations like "I heared somewhere iRacing is doing this or that".

Pretty cool piece on iRacing on Safe is Fast:

Count me in! This stuff is WAY too addictive :D

Have to figure out how to wire the pedals for a Bodnar cable and still be able to play GT5...

So, pilmat, you're on the Britain West Formula Ford team? You'll be a welcome addition to iRacing, with as much talent as that. I've heard about BWR Formula Ford.

What drivers are the nvidia guys using these days? I just went triple screen and am getting somepretty good stutters on Spa and Suzuka. It's been awhiole since I did alot of iracing and just wondering if it's still the 270 drivers that everyone is using.

Nice setup. Why would you need a bodnar cable? Just move the USB between your PS3 and PC.

Edit: Jav, that was a great video! Cool website to, I'll have to take a look around it some more. Thanks for sharing.

The Bodnar give a better pedal resolution, therefore smoother inputs. The G27 requires the wheel be removed from the rig to attach/disconnect the cable, there a pain the butt...

What I would like is that the pedals g through the G27 for the PS3 and into a separate USB for the PC. All without having to remove the wheel all the time.

The Ruf is an RT12R. R for Race. Though its still really a street car, just more hardcore than the RT12S. Not a good candidate for any sort of real touring car class, as this thing will have 730hp. Steve Myers wants to give us both AWD and RWD versions. They are AWD standard, and Ruf offers RWD optionally "for the brave." Chances are you would want to race the AWD and play around in the RWD.

The RT12S is in Forza 4 (DLC), if you'd want some idea of what its like.

That ought to be interesting....:) what are they doing for tires, Slicks I assume?

I certeanly hope so! But the car probably comes with the equivalent of DOT R-Compounds wich would make it ridiculously hard to drive!(RWD car)

I saw a lot of users screaming for street tires.

Kind of torn between DOT-R and slicks myself. The Mustang, MX5, Solstice, and SRF are on DOT-Rs, and there's so much more feel and they break away somewhat gradually. If they can get the car to have a lot of movement and be nice and squirmy, fighting to stay on the edge of control on R-compounds that would be great. I think slicks will send too many people off the track, backwards and the wrong direction of course.

Lol!! At the begining yes, a lot of crashing and spining in the learning curve but it's just that the learning of the car. Once you get used to the slicks and learn the limits it'll be fine, specially being an AWD car wich will allow people to get away with more dynamic slip angles.
Wichever tires it get's I'm definitely looking forward to it!

I read somewhere that the car was finally scanned about a month ago, also someone within the staff did mention that we would get the AWD version for racing and the RWD version for fun, I looked on a few thread but can't find it...

It's a re-badged Porsche, why even bother mentioning it? Everyone will buy it and enjoy it.

But... Is anyone else thinking that I should run my Season 4 races ASAP, before the hurricane knocks out my power, like it so might?

Speaking of tires the legends have had a new spec tire for 2 years now (Federal Tyre) and they are noticeably softer and have a newer tread design, so they have a little more grip than the BFG's in iRacing. Has there been any mention of at least sponsor replacements or anything of that sort?
