Maybe it's a goofy question but what's wrong with the tire model? Is it that the tires are too grippy when cold?

After years of Gran Turismo's horrendous tire model iRacing seems pretty spot on.

I'm just a bit curious what you think is wrong with it?

The only explanation I've thought of is that in Nascar they turn one quick lap in qualifying on cold tires. Maybe the tire model is based heavily off the characteristics of Nascar tires. I don't know. Just thinking out loud.

Well, relatively easy... No car on iRacing is "easy", think of the Riley/Corvette/Cadillac when they say "easy".

Good point, but it is the first car since the Mouse/Touch Screen release.

But I guess we will have to wait and see and hope.

The touch support isn't really a factor on the cars R&D, that was more of a business deal with Dell. No need to worry about them going soft.

Well done on the Nixim, I have it as well. Though I can't say how much it helps because my pedals came with it already.

But I can say it's much better than the MOMO pedals, and that if you use a wheel chair to race with the pedals loose on the floor that won't work anymore.

And I plan on watching the races, at least the first one.

Edit: I mean a chair on wheels, not a wheelchair.

Nah back to back, this should be fun to watch. Im willing to bet the road racers will have a big advantage here, although they are running the Cup layout so some of the nascar guys should already know the track.

Didn't get to watch it. Streaming wasn't working properly here, it would start and after 5 seconds the "buffering" box came on and wouldn't come off anymore, even on 240p resolution. I don't think it was an issue on my end because just before that I was watching a 720p streaming of a truck race.
