I put the fixed set on my Ford GT last night to run a couple laps around Spa, it wasn't great but took me by surprise, I set a PB in about 3 laps, definitely wasn't expecting that with a fixed set. :)

That's what I mean, sure they aren't perfect but they aren't nearly as bad as they were a year ago even.

The thing I found out was who developed the oval setups and atleast I know I like his style at most places tracks.

I'm running the McLaren with the High Downforce setup in the Fun races, only adjusting fuel. It works pretty well with Suzuka.

I am running the same setup and I agree that it works well at Suzuka. I would have finished in the top 10 last night but a dork in a Cadillac got mad that I passed him and took me out. Other than that I had not problems with the running the McLaren at Suzuka.

For some reason I could not do anything with the McLaren at Silverstone and I really hated the car for the first few days. It wasn't until I had another go at the McLaren and ran it the week at the Mosport track that I realized the car is fun.
:)

I ran some laps with Jav's setup in a 2.4 practice last night. It was my first experience with the McLaren. My best was 1:46.5-ish. Optimum was 1:45.2-ish. I'm pretty happy with that considering my limited experience with the car.

My CSP V2s just arived :-D just four more hours of work left. Only took two days to ship from Germany to Norway ^^ I cant wait! :-D

Nice! What are you upgrading from? I'm running the G27 pedals with the GTEYE brake spring. I haven't really been unhappy with them, so I haven't considered upgrading, yet.

Man! Just got the new pedals set up.. And when I try to configure everything in iRacing I get "steering requires a double sided axis" when configuring the wheel. any ideas? Iv tried to google it to no avail!

Edit: Strangest thing! It suddenly worked xD

Oh and Jav! AWESOME video!!!!! :D

Sweet! Did you get your pedal fluid bled and everything?

I got some silicone oil with the pedals. Should I fill the thing before I use em? :o
I thought that was for later on.
Could find any manual or anything so I assumed it was just plug and play.

Lol! I'm not sure, the manual is on Fanatec's Youtube channel.

Thinking of running the Williams alongside kicking off my Oval career.
What do people suggest Chevrolet National or Late Model in D-class? And what tracks do people suggest purchasing?
I'm thinking of running the National series as they run at USA Speedway the first week and quickly bumping my license up to C and then running trucks.

Then I can focus on buying only tracks that are used in the class C-A series (the idea is to buy the least amount of tracks and try to get promoted to A in oval as fast as possible).

It doesn't seem like there are many tracks that really carry over up the series. I want to get Daytona and Indy but they aren't really used much in the NASCAR series. The main tracks at A and B seem to be tracks like Texas and Las Vegas but these don't seem to be used for the trucks and lower.

With the road side, there were at least some common tracks that were worth buying as they were re-usable (Road Atlanta, Road America, Mid-Ohio, Suzuka, Spa, Watkins Glen, Zandvoort, Zolder, etc). But on Oval it doesn't appear as though many tracks are re-used much?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k3su_9l9r2s found that ^^
Feels alot better now! Wow these pedals are amazing!

I just got mine a couple of weeks ago. I don't think that i'm any faster or more consistent with them compared to my nixim modded G25 pedals (at least before the pots started sticking) but they sure do feel better. I now have a g25 wheel with TH8 shifter and CSP V2. pedals. Wouldn't be able to use all those with GT5.

I had stock G27. My braking seems to become alot more consistent now.

But iv found a problem. It seems that the brake has a deadzone of about 1CM. anyone heard of this before?

Ya, mine has it too you just have to get used to it, it doesn't bother me any more, it's just the slug is slightly short. Did you seriously bleed your shock in 3 mins? It took me a few hrs and then I had to get rid of the bubbles that came to the surface after some use for a few days.

Btw, you should go around and make sure everything is tight (obviously don't strip any bolts) a few days after first use my throttle started spiking and all I had to do was tighten the sensor on the side of the throttle (the 3 allen heads hold in the sensor box)

I wish I could get a Spacer on my Clubsport Pedals V1. I really want to move the brake pedal forward (Closer to driver) so that way I can properly heel toe with certain cars. Right now it feels so strange because I have to have my heel sticking way far back just to reach the gas pedal lol.

A small block of wood with 2 holes drilled in it should do the trick.

I'm not crafty like that. I wouldn't be able to do that probably lol.

Going to qualify right now for the 2.4. Looks like my best time in the McLaren will only put me in the top 125:scared:

Did you take the spacer out from the gas? The V2s have a spacer between the pedal and the lever. I would think that the V1 has it as well. If that's not enough, you could take the spacer from the gas and add it too the brake. You will need longer screws though.

I don't really want to make the distance of the throttle pedal shorter though. I did consider that a few weeks ago.

Just did my qualifying in the McLaren. Just inside the top 100 with a 1:44.376. :grumpy: I usually qualify close to the top 50 in the world tour events.

Taking the spacer between the arm and pedal face out doesn't change the throw at all, just how far back it is from your foot at rest (and possibly a slight change in the face angle if the spacer on the v1(right?) is cut at an angle), so depending on how you have it set up you may end up moving your pedals about 3/4 of an inch towards you if it bothers you at all..... If that's what you meant Kamuifanboy?

I was in that qualifying session with you lol. I finished right below you in the session with a 45.0. I need to pick it up myself. My best is a 44.8 with my optimal a 44.2. I'm going to try and do at least one more session if not 2 before the race.

Are any of you guys doing the 2.4 tomorrow night? I'm going to run tomorrow night since a friend of mine wanted to. I've been on iracing for quite a while now, but never done any of these events like this so should be fun. It will be the longest road race I've done by far.

I just did my Q run for the 2.4, got a 1:45.4 (Mclaren). It's not especcially quick, but it's close enough to my optimum that I won't bother running again. I may run tomorrows race, depends if I can get off work a few minutes early or not. I'm thinking of starting from pitlane, I figure 20 seconds or so doesnt matter much in a 2 hour race.

In the split I was in for the Roar there was more people who started from the pits than grided. Guess where the big first lap crash was? So it might not help much.
