Well since I'm getting my new PC sometime this week I decided to have a drop week from the iGPS, so I had my first race in the Star Mazda at Mid Ohio.I came 2nd in my first race and gained some more iRating.

I don't know why but a lot of people in the series are complaining about the Star Mazda at Mid Ohio, I don't understand why, it feels great! :)

It would make the races a lot more interesting to have some pit stops. The FW31 used to be 1 stop at least, but now every race this season has been 0 stopper. Kinda takes some of the fun away in my opinion.

I agree but attendance has to improve. Then there is the issue of smaller fuel cells or longer races. I did a race at iRacing when Zolder first was released and it was just under 3 hours long. I wouldn't want to do one of those every week. So I think the answer would be smaller fuel cells.

I'm going to practice with the Mclaren some more tonight and this week, I'm determined to get used to it and drive it at a respectable pace at least..

I more or less gave up on it, the C6R is still my choice but I never put that much time into the McLaren. Weirdly, I prefer the more simple cars in setup. Possibly why I like the Legend and Late Model so much, and the Star Mazda is pretty straight forward too. 💡

Looking forward to Rockingham this weekend. Seems like a fun track from what I've driven so far. Running high 23s to low-mid 24s after about 60 laps practice.

The wall on exit of turn 2 though comes up real quick, 1 and 2 seems a lot tighter and narrower than 3 and 4.

Hahahahaha! Guys remember that crazy guy in the video a few pages ago? He just left a comment on my YouTube video.

Way to troll on the GTPlanet forum or whatever saying Im crazy. Why dont you show the laps before where you were blocking and damaging my front wing (thats why it was damaged in the first place) Guess exaggerating makes a better story on your end. You people think you can just show up in Fixed races and drive like morons and nothing will happen to you.

What's funny is that I was never in front of him during the race. I started from the back of the field. And the other funny thing is, the moron is here is the one that doesn't compensate for his "damaged car."

Apparently I'm trolling according to him as well. LOLOLOLLOOLOLOL

It is! It will suck you in without a warning but my favorite track hands down. People over drive 1/2 because they don't break early enough to let the car settle and be able to power out.

Only head cam to make it realistic.

Hmm funny being he is one of the best oval Indy guys im sure his stats blow yours out of the water. Looks like he gave you the old bump and run and your sour he beat you at your home track.

You clowns are welcome to race in the open series if you have the irating but it seems you will fail miserably

My suggestion to you is move out of the way of the fast guys.

If they were so fast, they would be able to pass without wrecking the "slow" people ahead of them.

Oh, and by the way, Kamuifanboy races open wheelers in real life, so I'm sure his real life stats blow yours out of the water.

Jackass.

My real life experience shouldn't account to anything really :)

Attack the point, not the person making the point.

Lol at the guy telling people to get out of the way. If this Judson guy really is one of the best Indycar drivers then the Indy scene must have very low SOF, because what we all saw in kamuifanboys video is crappy driving. Full stop.

Did you protest him? That's as intentional as blocking gets.

No, I no longer give a crap when it comes to those people, I don't want to waste my time on them. I've read the sporting code awhile ago and the amount of work involved to protest someone isn't worth it to me for a slim chance that any action will be taken.....

This is exactly the problem with iRacing and why so few people protest.

I drive clean and safe (I'm old) can't help it. But when I get pissed I will hammer down on someone verbally. Ain't been ratted on as of yet. I did however speak my mind in this thread and got my hand slapped. I think that hurt more than iRacing would do to me (feelings wise) anyhow. Sorry if I offended any of y'all's pure ears. My mistake.

I have protested people for similar cases as in your vid and I assume the pilots get a warning? However, I have seen one pilot that I protested doing blocking and divebombing constantly and I do not think he has ever been penalized.

I have become disillusioned with the protest system to a degree. Unless there is blatant "taking out" of my car by someone it seems there are no penalties levied against bad pilots. Now I just stay away from the jerks and idiots on the track and have fun racing clean pilots.
:)

As someone in the iracing forum stated, that the penalty system will never be at full potential until they can penalize or issue warnings for "stupid moves" (blocking, divebombing, etc.).

@ Kamui: He's just mad it wasn't run like a World Tour event so he could "Sand bag" in qualifying..

Ahahahahahahaha!!! Wait wait wait... Really? A sim-racer attacking and trying to talk down on the guy who actually does this for a living on real life?? WOW!! Just wow! Now that really is pathetic! Lol!
Nothing against sim racers, I am one!
;-)

It really goes to show us the mentality of some individuals. The type you show them the proof, right in front of their eyes and they still argue otherwise. It's the internet, it's bad. :D

Just because one races in real life, doesn't make them any better than anyone else on a Sim.

*Edit*

I think our stats do the justice anyway. His Oval License is WAY higher than mine. But then my Road license is WAY higher than his. Not sure how much content he has on both sides but I have little to none of the Oval material and can usually only race 2 weeks a season. Which I often don't do because Oval has some crazy people.

But the INC pretty much says it all I think.

My Average INC;
Oval - 3.67
Road - 3.69

Crazy Man Judson Average INC (Love that nickname. Rolls off the tongue no?);
Oval - 3.63
Road - 7.44

The iRatings are really out of question I think because we aren't talking about that stat. We're talking about an Incident. How he has 4000 iRating on Oval is beyond me though.

You are a humble and modest guy Shinya, but it goes both ways. A high iRating doesn't make anyone better either, it's all about respecting people and not commanding respect without giving any to everyone else. That guy is a prime example of it and represents everything that's wrong in our community.

Anybody else think that this is him just doing what he said I was doing in his YouTube comment and Trolling the GTP? Ohio and 1 post? HMMMMM.

Anyway, Just noticed this guy said "The old bump in run." Can't remember the last time a legitimate bump and run in Indy car actually worked.

Who does the "bump and run" in an Indy car? Anyways I was just in a pretty fun race, battling for 1st for most of it, I was side by side with 2nd place when a lapped car coming out of the pits drove right in front of us, we both checked up and ended up taking each other out.. we got going again and I ran out of fuel half a lap away from the end.. again :p Damn frustrating if you ask me :p

Lol! Definitely the same guy on an e-crusade to make the world think like him!
"The old bump and run"... Definitely a deuche move in my book, regardless of racing discipline!

I hate that feeling of running out of Fuel just before the end of the race. I had a similar race to yours some time ago. I raged so hard at myself lol

Came 14th in my split at the rock last night in the NASCAR series. Despite 7 mins of repairs after a close encounter with a wall. Great fun though and my first race finish o the season :)
