Yeah, Lime Rock happened again. :lol: I took the inside line on a guy in turn 1. I held my line, but he spun, and somehow then hit me on the inside of the track while going around the corner. I swear it seemed like since he lost it he just decided he was going to take me with him. Anyway, went from a 4.66 SR rating at the start of the week to 3.52 now. :lol:
 
I entered a Skippy race and I started 9th w/o qualifying and made it to 4th by lap 2 and 2nd by lap 5 and was running down the leader who had a decent lead. On the last lap I was inside 1 sec of the leader when he ran up on a lap downer who was holding us up (which is fine because he was holding his line) and pulls over between T5 and T6 and lets the leader pass but pulls up in front of me to enter T6, and at this point I can't check up enough so I move up to the outside and make sure he knows I'm there which he does but before entering T7 he moves up 'so he could make the turn' but of course I'm there and he gets mad at me because 'I disqualified him for getting too many incidents in the race because I didn't give him any room.' He had met the max incidents per race while I had a perfectly clean race aside from this. I finished 4th with a bent LF wheel for the last half a lap. That's how I saw it behind the wheel. I honestly believe if that wouldn't have happened I would have had a chance at a battle for the win. Feel free to voice your opinion, I see no point in reporting since it was completely obviously deliberate, it was basically just an incident. Here is the video.

Wait, who is the green car? Whoever it was, the very last minute looked very strange, as if they intentionally turned to go off the track. I mean, they spun the wrong direction.

In his cockpit view though, he seems to have thought he had the right to go for the optimal line, when in fact it was a situation where both drivers had picked a line and needed to stick to it. If he genuinely thought he did nothing wrong, then he simply had poor awareness of other vehicles on track in that moment.

he was the lap downer, and yes he turned into me to pick the optimal line but he believed I had given him no room for the turn so he thought he'd force me (one of the leaders) out of the way so he could make the turn at his speed.

had another race, got put in higher split, started 11th finished 7th with some pretty decent battles until both times they drove too deep and spun

on another note, next week will be very interesting, legends at lime rock and skippy a Bathurst!:D:D

Poor special awareness by the green car IMO, but not worth protesting. Those things happen in the virtual world because it's so hard to tell where the back of your car is. Since it's a D class series he's probably relatively new to iRacing, so he'll get that out of his system in due time.
 
Except that the spotter for the green car would have said "car outside" going into the turn, and until the spotter says "clear", green has not won the optimal line and can not claim it heading for the turn-out. That was a classic divebomb, and unless the automated spotter said "clear" when he shouldn't have (due to netcode, say), green violated both the sporting code and the principles of proper racecraft.

Problem with that, is many don't think there is a need for having the spotter on. I've had more of my share of those knuckleheads in Carb Cup
 
He knew that I was there like I said because he said so, it was just lack of common sense the more I think about it
 
I don't understand why he checked up for the leader and not you. What are 2 more seconds to him?

Why the hell someone a lap down wouldn't just slow down on the straight and let both lead cars by? An F3 screen would show it clearly. Green car is obviously at fault here.
 
That's pretty sweet, will add a second car for the v8 guys. They said they put 2 years of man hours in Bathhurst. Love the track probably my favorite track in iracing. I just wish they would take a little of their time and finish the new tire model for all the cars. Whats with 3 cars at a time? They have plenty of man hours to devote to new content.
 
I only hope they fix the damn car and give it completely new physics so that it actually drives like a car!!
In this case should be fairly easy as both Ford and Holden will share the same physics...

You don't like the way the Ford drives? Well, crap. After doing a ton of research into what my next series would be, I thought I'd settled on the V8's. I like the BTCC so I thought I'd check out the Kia - horror stories. I thought I'd check out the Riley DP's - read more of the same about that series.

I'm curious wether they'll be able to put the two together, the old Ford is a completly different car to the new Holden announced ? ... Either way good news to get a new V8 Supercar :)

I used to hate the old Ford V8 Supercar but gave it a few laps when iRacing released Bathurst and it felt a lot better than I remembered it...Dont know if it was updated tyre model or better baseline setups but quite enjoyed the ride :)
 
Well the Ford got a bit better from what it was years ago, but it still undriveable for me. If they have any common sense they'll update the Ford once they get the Holden done and basically do what they did with the NASCAR cars.
 
Idk, I like the Falcon. I'm not comfortable enough in it to be any kind of fast, but it's still fun. I'm sure it's weird if you want to make to the top split, I hear tunes for that are ... interesting. I'm doing a development league with a fixed set-up and it's good.

Because of the hardcore iRacing fanboys who would be extremely offended if a modified Porsche was modified in a different way to represent another modified Porsche!
