I'm loving the GT3 series. My McLaren may not be up to par... and a little tricky on the curbs, but I am having a blast!

Just got done in a race where there was a 5 car battle with 3 minutes to go! Came out third after someone decided 3 wide was the best decision ever, but we all said it was really fun.

You do have to be at the front. Not sure if it's just the track, but 36 car splits with cars in one class is absolutely insane and I love it!

They just changed the site text box to "Oh no. Not this again!"

iracing down again! WTF!!
Yeah, this is getting a bit out of hand. I think they may just want to put it down for a day or two. (Although we are probably helping them by trying to get back on)

Loving the people that want their money back. The guy who want the season pushed back or whatever are pretty funny too. Although that wouldn't be terrible, but still.

I don't think it's funny at all. Some people on the service get a single day per week to run in a series. I think it's totally reasonable to delay a season.

It's not a terrible idea, but I don't expect them to do anything unless this continues.

Now if this happens for another day or two, I believe they should think about it then.

Finally got to do some RUF testing. Was going to do RUF Cup (C Spec) & Grand-AM(C Spec), but maybe do a bit of the GT3 Challenge(Track), but think I might just stick with GT3 challenge. That C-Spec drives pitiful compared to the Track version.

That's just going on the baseline setup.

Weird is I would have thought just looking at the specs, that the C Spec would drive a little better. Weighs less but with same HP. OH well. Just gotta find a decent setup, SKip barber only has like 4 settings to change. My eyes go :nervous: when looking at all the setup adjustments for the RUF.

So are some people able to log in and others not ??
I'll have my first chance this week to do laps when I get home from work so hope we are a bit more stable by then :nervous:

I just logged on with no problems. Until there's more stability though, I wouldn't suggest entering a race for fear of losing iRating.

I haven't had a single issue this week with the site which is weird considering the amount of people complaining and updates on site stability being posted on the site and over Facebook

Also, I squared out the SLM for road course use, it's not a perfect setup but it goes left and right pretty equally, I posted it here: http://members.iracing.com/jforum/posts/list/0/3234627.page#7759355

Quick question(i can't seen to find the answer). I've been insta-promoted to D-class road already & i am getting close to C-class now, Can i keep getting insta-promoted or do i now have to wait until promotions happen(as in, can you only be insta-promoted once everyseason)?

You'll need to do 4 D class races or time trials, and keep your SR above 3.0 and you should be good for another promotion.

Don't be in too much of a rush though, slowly coming up through the ranks is a good learning experience.

Racing in the Mazda cup can be pretty frustrating sometimes, but think it's a good place to learn how to anticipate other drivers mistakes before they happen so you can avoid incidents easier. It's good to learn this first in Rookie series, it makes it easier stepping up to higher ranks where people take thier racing alot more seriously.
I actually spent about 3 months in Rookie/Mazda Cup before I ventured into higher classes.

That and if you complete your MPR and get above a 4.0 sr your insta promoted. Im about to be a B class which means i can kind of stop worrying about my SR so much and start focusing on my iRating. That and i am starting to get tired of all these top 5s im getting, i just wanna win a few lol.

I think they changed the MPR insta-promotion from 4.0SR to 3.0SR to match end of season SR promotion requirements.

Well you need to be in the top 5 before you can win ;) Keep pushing and you'll get them :)
Wins can be few and far between but boy they feel good when you do get them :)

I think that was only for Rookie to D but everything else stayed the same.

Ahhh that would make more sense, I didn't like the idea of being able to be promoted instantly to all classes with only a 3.0SR. Must admit I didn't really read the release notes properly :dopey:

Just got promoted to B class last night. Was carrying a 4.67 SR after the two Daytona 2.4 races I did. Had to wait till this weeks MPR C Class races to get my four races in.

Gonna shoot for a fast tracked A class license over the next week then focus on iRacing. Having ability to run in many more races is great.

Why do you need A? Only F1 Williams requires it...

You know, although there really isn't much to do with an A license it is nice to have it, I don't know what it is but it gives you that nice feeling when you reach it...

Idk, with IR I currently have, an A license would be very costly when (not if) an idiot runs into you.

iRating and License Safety Rating do not correlate. An A license will give you less opportunities to make mistakes in lower license level series.

Yea thats why it's unnecassary to have A or B liscences if you dont intend to race in those classes, all they are, are pretty colours for your helmet

Edit.. whoops shouldn't try to do sneaky work posts, I'm not reading everyone properly :dopey:

I'm pretty sure at A-B licence levels your SR hits are much higher than if you stayed D or C class
