There's the Toyota Altezza, which is better, along with a baby brother, the Lexus IS. I personally, like the IS better for some reason. PD just called it "IS" because people in Europe call it "IS200". Here in the U.S., we call it the "IS300".

No - we have the IS300 in Europe too. The IS200 comes with a 2 litre engine. The IS300 comes with a 3 litre engine. The former is in GT3, the latter is not.

Actually the European IS200 comes with a 2.0 I6 with about 180bhp. Wheras the altezza comes with a 2.0 I4 engine that develops 200bhp, the same engine was used in the JGTC supras for a while as well. Although you've got the base model IS in GT3 as well, but that's a heap o crap.

It's not in the game. So no.

I never thought I would say this, but Famine, you're wrong. The Lexus IS is in the game. Theres the Altezza RS200 and then the Lexus IS.

If you want a picture, please tell me.

It's not badged as a Lexus in the PAL or Japanese version. On another note, the only IS300 that's appeared in a GT game is the IS300 Sportcross (Sex on wheels) in GTC. Hmm, I should try drifting that. :D

No - I am fully aware that the Lexus IS is in GT3. However he specifically asked for settings for the Lexus IS300, which isn't in the game. The 2 litre car - badged as Lexus IS in NTSC GT3, Altezza AS200 in PAL GT3, but IS200 in real life (in Europe) - is in the game. The 3 litre car is not.

Lexus IS: 1998cc, 160hp @ 6400rpm

Once more:
Lexus IS = Altezza AS200 = Lexus IS200 - Is in GT3
Lexus IS300 - Is not in GT3.

I'm assuming your saying the AS200 is the equivalent of the base model IS200 then. Because i'm pretty sure that when we used to own an IS200 SE it didn't have those crappy wheels, or a 4 speed gearbox (although maybe the auto version did, we had one for a while as a courtesy car but I forget how many gears it had) and it had an I6 instead of an I4 engine.

I'm making no claims about the spec. The IS200 is 2-litre, the IS300 is 3-litre. The car in GT3 has a 1998cc engine, therefore it's the equivalent of "a" Lexus IS200, not IS300.

Hmm, ALL go0d claims, but it it seems that in GT3 they make them sound like they are two totally different cars that look alike. They should either be calling them BOTH either Altezza or Lexus, depending on what country the decide to name the cars after. Like in Japan they call them Altezza and here in America we call them Lexus. So it seems the game in a way is stupid for calling them both Lexus AND Altezza. And in my game its not AS200 its RS200, but I think maybe thats because we have two different ver. oor we live in different countries, I don't know. But the Lexus IS is not the IS300 and the RS200/AS200 is not the IS300. IS300 isn't even in the game as umm, Famine said at the top, sorry if i'm getting off topic, kinda forgettin what the whole descussion is all about and on,lol. And the IS200 I have never even heard of, so0o i have no idea what you guys are talking bout when you talk bout the IS200, I don't live in Europe, haha.

in my game i have the AS200 and the RS200...i just cant get the damn thing to make enough mid torque....need to play with gearing i spose.

Hmm, both!?!?! dang, thats weird. Yeah, if you're not gettin enough mid torque then you have to make the gears shorter, depending on which gears you're not getting enough torque in, if their all of them then change all the gears config, and so on so forth, i'm sure you know lol.
