PrecisionDI found rallying to be difficult. I play GT4 with my DFP though, which I think is easier then using the ds2 for this type of driving. My only experience so far has been the snow track while getting my professional license. I really think to drive the rally's well you need to keep your throttle in reserve, never flattening the accelerator, but, keeping the throttle at "half-staff" so-to-speak. I find if I do this, it give me the right amount of accelerator to push on to get me out of trouble in turns.

SoulScremeYeh... umm... rally racing is hard, in real life and in the game. From what I kno about physics, the game physics on the dirt are pretty close to real life. Driving on dirt is like driving on snow, it's pretty nuts. Don't complain because you can't do it properly yet.
I like the rally courses/cars/and physics in GT4, but the rally mode enfuriates me. Every time I win a rally I'm rewarded with the hardest single A-Spec point you're ever going to see. I can't wait to finish those so I can have some fun rallying in Arcade Mode.
That was just my opinion, based on other rally games and watching a few rally races on TV ,some from the in car perspective. I havn't played Richard Burns so IFlerbizkyCome again ?.. I didn't quite get that...
Rally in GT3 realistic ?... The rally part of GT3 is pure arcade. There's no way in hell you can carry that much speed on gravel..
Wow, thats some thread-side manner you got there. If you have driven Rally, what is your opinion on any of the Rally games as far as being realistic? If they are not, whats missing?spadeyeah, thats horse****. Ive driven SCCA for a couple years now and the rally on this thing is nothing like the real thing. Youve never driven rally at your own admission, so how about you have a nice hot cup of shut the **** up.

P MachyHavent tried the Rally yet but i like to vent a few notes.
1. Revised List on Vehicles from its original listbiggest BS!
2. Not enough races for factory trim vehicles.
3. No Trial Mountain or Seattle Enduro Races.

Swilliejust win the RSC in the second special conditions race and throw some dirt tires on it. Hell I love the rally racing and the snow tracks too, just gotta throw it down a gear, cut the turns a little early and as soon as the back end starts to break free shift back up a gear or even 2 if you need and counter steer, you should be able to keep the car under control and will be flying around those turns. Fun as it gets.
The RSC is that Toyota SUV thing, right? I'm sorry, maybe it's just me, but i hate the RSC in rally racing. it seems overpowered, so as soon as you try to catch up to your opponent (who is, at this point, killing you), you spin out and make a lot of dust. The RSC is better at providing money by selling it. and another thing, it's not even equipped with dirt itres when you get it! how much crap is that?
