I kind of hope GT6 is on the PS3, it'd be a shame not to be.

There's a pattern between GT games on each console, 2 each:

PS1:
-Gran Turismo 1
-Gran Turismo 2 (considerably bigger than GT1)

PS2:
-Gran Turismo 3
-Gran Turismo 4 (considerably bigger than GT3)

PS3:
-Gran Turismo 5
-Gran Turismo 6? (hopefully bigger than GT5)


So, fingers crossed to what PD has planned.

Let face it. It took them 5 years to make GT5(not including GT5P, and GTPSP). I don't think PD want to take another 5 years making GT6.

Already has hasn't it, 5 mins worth of work maximum to make a couple of seasonal races or TT's per week!

Bathurst is being scanned for GT6 as well.

For GT6, they'll just update GT5's graphics and focus mainly on adding more stuff like cars and tracks. And hopefully more flexibility and I want them to ditch the race xp. Back to licenses required to race.

What are you basing your statement on? I have not seen any official announcement about the release of the next DLC or update this month. People are speculating that a DLC will be released this month because in an interview with Yaz last November, he said "I think that will include cars and trucks that we’ll be releasing maybe once every two months or so from here on out. What we do from here on is also really dependent on the reaction of the users to this first DLC that we just released because this is the first one.
There was only a one month time period between the second and third DLC (December - January). Who is to say that there will be a two month period (January - March) to the next DLC? PD will determine when they will release the next DLC and make an official announcement at that time.

I don't see why they shouldn't be doing both? Minor updates should not take a lot of man power nor require the attention of the entire studio. I'm sure they are already well into dev stage of GT6

I guess it will be quite big because their servers will be hosting millions of photos. The other thread was found with just a minute of searching. If I could be bothered, I could find something better but as I said I am too lazy.

GT6 won't be out for another 2 years, perhaps longer. Can't we just enjoy 5 till then?

I'm sorry, but until PD announces something, or Amar gets another leak, I'm gonna keep enjoyin the game I have.

People need to drop the long period it took to develop GT5 to bash the series. You must understand, that GT5 utilizes a new engine, and that's why it took so long to develop. GT6 won't take too long, as PD already has an updated PS3 engine, which they will further improve to develop GT6. I don't know GT5's engine name, but let's call it ''Proton Racing engine 1.0'' GT6 will utilize an updated version ''2.0'' and won't take that long to develop.

I'd say we'll see GT6 in 2013 or 2014.
