I have the money to afford it and i could buy it, but am i gonna regret it?
if anything what should i buy?

I'm sure you've driven it in Super License Test 5. What did you think?

For me, I love the acceleration, but it turns like the Tank Car.

I'd much rather have the Huayra. It handles very, very well for what it is.

i agree with you on that. i did drive it, i have the huayra from the 15th anniversary edition pre-order. Amazing car nonetheless. but its just some part of me that cant turn down this opportunity?

For me it all depends on how I'd use it. With the full lot of Anniversary cars and this early stage in the game, I'm only buying cars I need to get me through the game. So far, I've not bought anything. Once I've unlocked every level and mission (just getting enough stars to get me to the next level), I'll then begin collecting and filling my garage with wanted cars and going back and completing the events I skipped or cannot compete in.

It all depends on you and what you want out of the game. For me, this is a two year game, so there's plenty of time to collect and tune every color Veyron in the dealership.

Unless the handling has improved in some way since GT5 (Stock and tuned), I wouldn't buy it. There's plenty of cars that kick it's butt around a track. If you're the type of person that loves doing top speed runs, go ahead. If you're also a car collector and want to get every single car in the game, I would say go ahead, too. Its just a lousy car for circuit racing. There are countless cars that cost less than half, or even a quarter, of the price of the Veyron that can still destroy it on road courses.

But in the end, it all comes down to what you want to do with your credits. We can't tell you how to spend them. Just buy something you know you'll enjoy and drive a lot.

Would you choose the Huyara or the Ferrari FXX? I need a car to beat the difficult championships with great handling. A race car maybe?

In that case I would go with the McLaren F1. When you manage control that car you soon realize no other super car is faster.

A tuned Light car wins the Super event at Willow Springs in a walk. It could win the Ascari event too, if not for the AI punting me every lap.

I just bought a Bugatti.. trying to make it look like the Mansory Vincero but for some reason it's not letting me change my wheels... AT ALL!!!
and a fully modded one is about 1300hp, fyi

R35 TC is a muuuuuuuuuch better choice for these, it's somehow both brutal and forgiving at the exact same time. Oh and it's muuuuuuuuuch cheaper.

Not really. The car is really heavy and you can barely turn in it.

I would recommend buying a Peugeot 905B Bis. The speed, steering, and weight are just awesome.

I've grown to hate the Veyron during the S license test... That piece of crap isn't meant to race on a road course, the acceleration is unbelievable, but it turns worse than a semi truck. I'd keep it if I'd get it as a price car, but wouldn't spend a sible credit on buying it myself...

Lmao that is the most accurate comparison of the turning radius of a bugatti, semi-truck. But honestly though i know your struggle it took me over 30 tries to even manage bronze :/

sorry for bumping this thread but i just tuned my Veyron '13 and drove at the Route X. On the straigt it's no problem, but in the curves it's almost impossible to handle, even when i go down to 350 km/h. Does anyone else have this problem?

I'd recommend against wasting that 2 mil on it for now if that's all the money you have at the moment. Its not a fun car to race if you like braking and turning. It accelerates as expected but the braking is just as ridiculous as its turning ability. Trust me it will make you lose it big time. I've since purchased a new controller because I let this car get to me sadly, if you get my drift.

My old test for it was Le Sarte. On the first straightaway go as fast as you can and then brake[when the braking/gear indicator starts flashing]. You wont stop until you hit one or two of the barriers by the sand trap. And that's with racing brakes equipped lol.

When I get a chance this week I'm going to mock up a GTR with ballast to as heavy as it can get, mod it to accelerate at a similar pace on the same stretch at Le Sarte and see if it brakes just as badly. Curious to see if its the games algorithms responsible for this across the board or if its just the Veyron's programming.

I actually got air that way and managed to land it...

Not so high...but pretty far

Lift off speed approx. 275Mi/442Km.
Touch Down Speed about 200Mi/321Km.
Flight distance; rough guesstimate; 700ft/213M... :dopey:

Back to reality:

I bought the '09 to be able to run it on Ascari in Single User/Race mode to get the know the track better.
It sure beat trying to learn the track having to reset at the end of every lap in the Super license.

So when I finally got around to doing the license test it was a breeze.
Just have to remember its heavy so brake early, point straight when stepping on it.

Now that the payouts have been increased, its not as big a deal to shell out Credits for one.

Veyron also worked great for some of the Willow Springs races, its just plain stupid fast.
Nice handy little tool for the Gone With The Wind events too.

Veyrons will clock at least 325Mi/523Km+ on SSX for your Stats Top Speed with a little help from NOS.

I use a wheel.

I have a car that can keep up with a veyron when fully modded.

It is one that tends to be overlooked.

If you like cars that handles like a boat then yes.
If you intend on drag racing the car it may be worth the investment.

I'd recommend getting a LMP like the 787B (my personal favorite) at that price. Or an FXX even.

The Veyron sucks just as bad in the 1/4. Around 2/3 down the back strait, the wing deploys, instantly creating front wheel spin and overall loss of speed.
Then when the wing stands up when you hit the brakes, you might as well hold on and watch your car fly 50ft in the air after plowing into the wall. Its like the cars hits an ice patch when the wing deploys.
Defeats the purpose of a wing if you ask me.

Loss of speed? So you say it actually slows down?

You can tune it so that it doesn't spin or loses speed, but of course, that might not be the fastest tune then. I never tried to run 1/4 with it.

In my opinion, no. That 2,000,000cr. is better spent towards a race car of some sort rather than an overweight "hypercar" that handles worse than the Titanic. :yuck:
Heck it's not even the king of the 1/4 mile anymore, since a GT-R or '02 Viper GTS can smoke it.

In case someone happens to know: does the veyron handle as badly IRL as it does in GT6? Because (for those of you that watch the show) its power lap time on Top Gear was pretty good. Better than GT6 would suggest anyway.

On a side note: I REALLY hope PD will give us the veyron SS someday.

Update. I actually got a chance to mess with GT6 today. I just mocked up a GTR to 1930kg which is way more than Veyron weight and gave it more than Veyron power and took it to Le Sarte. Only mods on GTR were power mods and weight increase. Tires were SH's.

As I expected its Veyron specific programming. The much heavier mock up GTR not only stopped way way short of that first turn but it also stopped from more speed than the Veyron had initially. All this without the Veyrons air brake capabilities. It also stopped way short of the Veyron which was on RS's and racing brakes.

Oh well.
