Is The Trading Limit Been Lifted?

There's nothing wrong wth it being level based as long as they loosen up on the ridiculous EP requirements...

The 1 car per day per PS3 is certainly not lifted though

Currently you can only send the following from a PS3 no matter how many accounts you have on it:

1 car or ticket
5 items
5 paints

Yes. This is the correct info. You used to be able to send 1 car/ticket, 5 items, and 5 paints PER PSN ACCOUNT per day, but now it's PER PS3 SYSTEM per day. If there are four people on the same PS3 at your house, three of them are screwed. PD is anti-family. ;) (That was a snark, not a serious statement)

There was a twitter message announcing the ban had been lifted temporarily to allow people to return cars to their rightful owner.

It will be back to 1m shortly.

Probably so. If you have expensive cars loaned out or gifted to sub accounts, you'd better prioritize and figure out which ones you really want back, and start sending them, one per day, in case the 1m cap is reinstated.

ETA: Looks like it is indeed a temporary fix. Better get busy mining your "gold farming" accounts if you have them! :)

Yeah, its still silly though....

Sure, they lifted the 'ban' on 1,000,000+ car trades. Awesome! Now I can move all my high dollar cars over to my main account from my alts...and I have time to do it....err, wait a sec.....NO I DONT!

Evidently, after playing this since the day it was released, PD has determined that I only have FIVE FREAKING CARS I NEED TO MOVE since they made it where even the receiving account can only receive 1 per day!! Give me a break!! I dont dupe...I've gotten each car legitimately through racing and buying them as they came up. How is it that they cant even make it so your main account can recognize your 'sub accounts' enough so that there is no trade issue or limit to amount or at least lift the 1 per day RECEIVING limit for an account for the same 5 days?? How does this or would this 'hurt' anyone in any way, shape or form?? This isnt the first game online or otherwise I've played. Heck, even W.O.W. has it where your sub accounts mail would go directly through, without delay or limit, since it was obvious you were moving stuff AMONG YOUR OWN ACCOUNTS (not that I even play that anymore. The point is, your account, your sub account....it SHOULDNT MATTER). This game...its like its some sort of crime! GIVE ME A BREAK. God help me if I actually send the wrong car by mistake....I'll have to wait another 24 hours to send the right one too!! Thats EXTREMELY WELL THOUGHT OUT. Outstanding work from a game 5 years in the making. Well, it is if your a 5th grader.

I dont care in the least how others play. If they want to dupe, dupe. If they want to afk grind A spec, let them. If someone has 'Birthday glitched' till the cows come home, WHO FRIGGIN CARES??

...I've grown MORE than tired of the holier-than-thou people who claim any of the above was somehow 'wrong' to do, or god forbid start attacking a poster if they somehow suggest that they think PD is making dumb decision(s) with regard to something in GT5. At no point does ANYONE have a say in how I choose to play my game in my own home especially since I do ZERO amount of this game online short of the online used car lot and seasonals. I just cant help but roll my eyes at some of the posts on this site lambasting others because they choose to go about things differently ingame.

If some players chose to do all driving events by not using ANY driving aids, then obviously they are the only ones to have done it 'correctly' and for anyone else it shouldnt count by that way of thinking. Or I guess if someone actually went off course or cut a corner somehow, that too is WRONG(!) and it shouldnt actually count. Maybe they should have to spend a few days banned from GT5 on their PS3 too! /rolleyes. Mind you, this includes STUNE, (who I'd argue with anyone may be one of the most helpful and talented GT5 players there is, especially on this site and has helped me a TON with his videos) since even in a few of his videos he admits to having to turn an occasional driving aid here or there, though almost exclusively he drives without ANY. How many of us can say that HONESTLY? I doubt any...and I doubt ANY of the ones most loudly bitching and posting looking down the end of their noses at the way others choose to play. But if THEY choose to do something like cut a corner here or there, or get their X2010 by getting bronze by the new standard its OK. Its just the "OTHERS" who do it that its wrong. Freaking HYPOCRITES I couldnt care any less that they 'lowered' the standard for the Bronze for the Vettle challenges! GET OVER IT.

Yeah yeah....I'll make sure to tell my daughters that since we didnt have calculators or computers when I was in HS that obviously, THEY dont have it hard enough and their education is obviously going to be 'tainted' and it shouldnt count. ROFL

I've never duped, I've never AFK A spec Grinded, I have EARNED my X2010 by golding the first two Vettle challenges this past week and am all of 1 1/2 seconds away from golding Suzuka too. So dont even think about trying to throw any comments my way....and I still say (irregardless to ANY freaking post responding to this) I COULDNT CARE ANY LESS....1.07 is beyond STUPID. For the online racer, I'm glad they fixed any sort of issues that might have affected being able to race. The rest of it? Useless.

Here is proof of the trading limit loss - me trading a Miura!

Sorry about the blur, shook it a bit as I was taking. Should still be relatively readable though :guilty:

That's no proof, where's the time and date?

Anyway, good thing the listented. They should put the max. trading value on Cr. 15,000,000 or so.

Lol @ Antretti btw.

There's nothing wrong wth it being level based as long as they loosen up on the ridiculous EP requirements...
True, but if you loosen up the requirements, what use is the level? At present, a level is just a time-lock, that favors people with more free time than others, not people that are better than others. Of course, there were skill-based locks in GT4, called licenses. ;)

The genie is out the bottle. I'd say 1/3 of my online wins come via having the perfect car for the situation. Now it will be harder for others to catch up. The PP system is wonderful but without duping the playing field is not nearly as even as it could be.

I have a friend. Unlike myself playing since 1 he is starting with 5. I explained the past work the previous games so far have entailed in order to earn your favorite cars. As I began to play 5 I quickly noticed it will take some time to get all the cars I wanted. It did not bother me much as all of the GT editions have had some type of non enjoyable playtime needed to get what I personally wanted out of the game. So my friend starts to play and I gifted him a few cars. Just as it read. Gift. To help him along the way as a new player. A great idea. Also I have gifted to other more experienced player/friends cars I was proud to have earned and to take a spin. When I saw cars for sale on eBay I knew right away the system would change. Further, when the borrow system was introduced that sealed the deal. Anyone who thought that the gift system would last for a length of time past the borrow introduction should have seen the hit coming. The send system was not named trade, it was named gift. In addition, the cars designed by PD are not property of others to make income from. eBay sales caused this. Plain and simple. Proud player and a garage full of Group C's and LMS cars. Oh happy day! They listened! 👍 👍 👍

Does anyone know if this is permanent?

Until March 3rd. I still think they need to find a better way to solve this.

PD. Fire up your game and check the News Feed. It's valid.

March 3 is the cut-off.

Unless anything changes between now and then, you can only send/gift/trade ONE car, FIVE parts, and FIVE paints PER PS3 UNIT per day during that time, too (and ever after, it would seem). Note that it's no longer PER PSN ACCOUNT, but per PS3 unit. I've tried with all four of my family's accounts on my system today and yesterday, but no go - only 1 car, 5 parts, 5 paints.

You can divide up the paints and parts between accounts, though. One from A to B, on from B to A, one from C to D, one from D to A, etc.

yes this is true, checked the news section and it said that due to the lack of notice, it will be lifted until March 3, 2011, then it will be put back on
