all the cars are different, if you think not try this. My AJ car runs solo times of 41.550 avg with a best of 41.494. My Carl, keep in mind also a fusion witht he same AJ fusion setup runs 41.8s. If I take the same setup and put it on Tony he runs 41.7s, but Jimmie runs 41.9s, Dale runs 41.6s, Juan runs 41.8s, and Denny runs 41.9s, kyle runs 41.7s. So as you can see all the cars are different. My AJ being the fastest.
My two cents worth, I think there are slight differences, but only very slight (talking less than a tenth of a second around daytona). What makes the difference is the personal setups for each ride. This and your strategy in the longer races - and the ability to spend as little time in the pits as possible.
I've run with some guys who have driven all NASCAR's, and the Impala's (particularly the #14) tend to be a little quicker. Also Toyota's seem to be better at bumping people. And the interiors are different and there are slight weight differences.
The Gamestop NASCAR is the best because out of the box it comes with 892HP, unlike other NASCARs, which require a fully broken-in engine to achieve that 892HP. And it also looks the best, but that's just my personal opinion.
