Whats this?
We know there was in GT5 Prologue and most of us hated it.

1. Does it affect Single-Player ?
2. Does it affect Multiplayer ?
3. If there is one, can it be turned off ?

Singelplayer. yes. Multyplaer, no.
Can not be turned off,but it dont semed to do you any
good i the Formula Cup.
One miss and your lost.

in multiplayer (free run) there is no slipstream
in multiplayer (race) the slipstream effect works up to 1.5 seconds behind and is very powerful. it needs sorting out tbh.

He is not talking about the slipstream. But about the magical grip found when you are trailing the first place, the farther behind you are from the first, the more grip you will magically have.

Online lounges you can set the catchup "boost" to Off, Low or High

Can't say I have noticed it in single player though

Spun out plenty of times in the FGT races and still caught up and managed 1st on more than a couple of occasions, so it's definitely doable.

There's most certainly rubber banding. I've spun off the track and fallen into last place by a very wide margin, only to catch up with the pack in under 30 seconds. And it's not like my car was nearly fast enough to accomplish that - if it was I'd have been in the lead by several minutes and my spinning out wouldn't have mattered.

I've never noticed it provide a real player with any aid to catchup, you just see the computer up it's game if you get a lead on them. It's not given unrealistic performance you just see less of the early braking and slow cornering as it keeps up with you. If you're in an overpowered car you will still batter it.

Set up a room with a mate, set the boost to strong, and let him grab a 25-30 secs lead. You'll be catching by 6 or 7 secs a lap given both of you are equal in skills.

Its very noticeable online in a race such as NASCAR.
The other day i was in a long race on Daytona and was spun out so i decided to pit for new tyres, putting racing hard on for the long haul i was easily overtaking the 1st place battle without slipstream after being over a lap down.
Was in first place after maybe 1 or 2 laps as the extra power you seem to get just allowed me to breeze past them, of course they caught me with slipstream in the end

Yeah i mentioned that after a online race on Highspeed Ring and said it`s like mario kart... not worth to take the lead. They laughed and agreed ^^
