I have been thinking of getting this game and was wondering is it worth it? How much better is it than GT5?

PS: If I do get this game right now, are there any ways to get lots of money fast? Like millions at the start because I do not want to grind I just want to drive a bunch of nice cars.

In my opinion the game is worth getting, it's alot better than gt5, especially with all the recent updates and everything.
Unfortunately you will have to grind, it's the only way really. The red bull championships are the best for it and they don't take very long, and the junior championship is actually fun to do!

I feel like GT6 is just about to explode and become the game people were expecting in December now.

Buy it. You won't regret it... I mean, unless you're saving for an actual race car, but hey, maybe you wouldn't regret it even so. :p

Absolutely. I per-ordered the anniversary edition and we get 15 cars and 1million credits. Which is more than enough to take part in Career and you earn cars as you go for next event. Try to find it or you can buy it digitally as well. If you are not too interested then wait till till December. They might release GT6 spec2 or something with DLC content. So far all the cars and Redbull track was a free download. But I doubt they give more add-ons for free.

In YOUR case and SPECIFICALLY for you, I think you should wait until the game is on sale for $20, then it would be really worth it for You to buy it...

Dont buy it now... you will regret it... especially when it will go on sale for $20 ;)

Remember... dont buy it now!

Depends on what you want out of it. It's similar enough to GT5 that asking if it's better or worse is really a moot point. The physics are better especially if you have a wheel. The new tracks are fantastic, some of the new cars are very good. If you liked the Career Mode in GT5 it's not much different except the races are shorter and there's no endurance racing. The AI are not challenging at all and no improvement has been made there, you might argue the rubber banding is even worse. Online is slightly improved but still no way to search for what you want other than a few basic sort parameters. If you want a certain PP or Tire Compound you can't use it as a search parameter.
Course Maker and BSpec are not in the game as of yet. Sounds are the same except for a couple of the Senna cars and the RedBulls.

I'd say if you liked GT5, you'll like GT6. If you were looking for dramatic improvements in many areas, you'll probably be disappointed. If you like hotlapping and new cars and tracks, it's worth it for that alone.

There was a money glitch early on, and anyone that capitalized on it, like me, has a garage full of cars, $50 Mill in the bank, and barely had to touch the offline career. I thought I'd give it a shot but after a couple of hours I just wanted to rip my face off it was that boring. That money glitch is no longer available:grumpy: but there is a RedBull thing you can grind to make money fairly quickly, but it'll take you an evening I think to earn enough for one of the $20Mill cars. I don't grind though, so I may be off on that estimate.

Daily login bonus, by the way. You can double your winnings (200%) and then jump into Red Bull challenges and Senna challenges etc. after 4 days of logging in and switching the game discs out.

Wait for it to lower in price or come with the DLC goodies. $40, IMO anyways, is a little bit too much to ask for when the game isn't all that different from GT5. If you need online racing then the obvious answer is yes but if you're keen with the offline on GT5 then I'd say wait.

It's your choice in the end anyways. Keep the + and - in mind. 👍

Well IMO it depends on how much you like this type of game and how much value you place on entertainment. I pre-ordered the game and felt I got my moneys worth within the first week of owning it. I played everyday for the first 3 months then off and on after that. There are plenty of good games that I did not get nearly that much playing time out of so even at full day one price it was a good deal for me.

As for being different than GT5 I think it is quite a lot different. The cars feel much better, the new tracks are great, some of the new cars are really good as well and there is yet more to come. There are other games out there that would have charged $40 just for the extra tracks and another $20 just for the extra cars not counting the price of the game.

For 40, absolutely, even at 60 it was a definite maybe for me (The collectors edition cars are what made me preorder it for 60)

Buy the game-wait 7h to download everything-wait another 12h for instaling-enjoy the game. 👍
Oh, and be sure you have enough space on your HD (20G may not be enough). 40$ is a bargain for this game, go amd get it.

Edit:for the money just do the carrier. With the 200% login bonus you'll collect 100mil in no time.

For all gran turismo's problems, there is still an amazing game present.

I payed 60 pounds for the anniversary edition and have no regrets.

I definitely recommend it :)

Imo, it's worth it.
Btw, i'm sure you can get it for ~25 $ second hand (non-AE standard version), and that's almost a steal.

Inb4 "no"

And I suggest you get it. The physics make driving practically everything a blast.

If you disregard the broken aero-physics in GT6, then the simulation is good, overall. Tyre, Suspension physics are working nicely.

Basically GT6 could be really good game if it was finished i.e. all (or at least most noticable and consistent) bugs and issues would be patched and corrected. Instead off adding more, they should fix what they already created and then move on to adding more content.

But they could not even continue adding more, just fix what's there right now and it will be good game to play for many hours.

But, you know, GT lacks the fun factor you can find on other racing games.
It's funny how a boring game like GT keeps me behind my DS3 for months with more than 50.000 km on the clock. No other game(grid, dirt, nfs) came even close to the GT longevity. The only game that came close was BurnOutParadise wich I can't compare to GT when it comes to racing or just driving around the track.

$40 for Brands Hatch and Bathurst?

Are you in the market for a bridge? I have one I'd like to sell you.

Thanks, but you keep it.

But, as it happens, if we got regular track DLC I wouldn't be averse to paying $40 for a couple of tracks if they were good choices - that's £11.50 a track in english money = 3 pints of decent beer and a bag of crisps, or, enough fuel to drive somewhere 30 miles away (and back).

If you have a steering wheel it definitely worth.
But, you know, GT lacks the fun factor you can find on other racing games.

And extra 100+ premium cars, Red Bull Ring, better UI, a bit better customization, better physics, faster loading times, Matterhorn, Apricot Hill...
