I did the same in one of the licence tests, although I can't remember which one. In GT4 I also managed to miss the gold on a licence test by being 0.001 over frustrating to say the least!

I've done that this game in the tests. Also, I got one missed by 0.004, and another 0.006. Bunch of times I've been down by 0.01-0.02, no big deal. Think I got the worst luck ever. Do you know how angry this makes me? Very. Doing a hard challenge all over because of hardly any time, BLOOOOWS! I hate losing by so little, though I Gold them all in the end, so in your face time!

Yep. Winning by 10,000th's of a second will do that. I have had a few wins of this margin. Exciting to say the least

I just won a race with .000! It was the same exact time! I won, but didn't get the trophy since I already had it.

I got 26.700 for the 1000m licence test. Needed 26.700 to gold it.

I got 1.20.999 in the AMG DS beginner event, second sector. You needed 1.21.000 for gold. I felt like a champ.

edit: Plus, I grinded the B6 license forever, my closest time was .001s over the gold time for a long time.

My B Spec Bob won a race yesterday by 0.02 - Had the 2nd place AI car catching him down the straight, and Bob, after having been leading for the whole 10 laps, looked like he was about to throw it all away. Would have been typical Bob behaviour, but he held on!

This is one of the hardest trophies for me to get, my closest win in a race is something like 4 seconds or something,

It seems to be a win or a lose.
I'm guessing the game actually has a more accurate timer, but it only shows it out to 0.000, when it probably sees it as 0.000001120 or something.

I'm not surprised it's a close finish on the Vitz race.. the AI's are so hard to beat, even with an overpowered car. I also tried it in B-spec... I won't try it again until Bob is level 15!
