I should've been more specific. I'm surprised none of the usual online review mag suspects haven't done a full review yet, since we're at release date now.
Usually gamespot, IGN, etc., have picked through a game fairly well by now.

Screw BB! I went to Gamestop this morning after talking to BB and PrePaid in full and was gauranteed by the manager to get it no later than 3pm Tuesday.

I think its the other way around. PAL has always had better picture than NTSC. From what I understand there really hasn't been an HDTV market in Europe. So 480p/1080i for North America, not for Europe.
ok here is the confirmation that I see most accurate after hunting, calling and seeing people's similar GT4 quests.
Gamestop (PREORDERED) - Tomorrow
Gamestop (NON-PREORDERED) - Depends on quanitity tomorrow but most likely 23rd.
Best Buy (PRE-ORDERED) - 23rd and 24th (Wednesday - Thursday)
Best Buy (NON-PREORDERED) - Possibly tomorrow but first come first server or wait "also" till Wednesday and Thursday.
EB Games (PREORDERED) - Tomorrow Afternoon to evening
EB Games (NON PREORDERED) - Good luck for tomorrow is all I can say.
Walmart/Targer - Some may have tonight/tomorrow 12AM or... wait till Wednesday - weekend.
All I can say is, do PREORDER from EB or Gamestop for your best bet to get it tomorrow and play.
As for GT4 book, you should be able to get it at some Gamestops. I got mine so... just call around throughout the day thats all I can say.
As for it being good? If its aiding me to wait, hell yes!
Its nice and may want to know some of the things that is different from GT3 as far as controling the car, turning and such. Nice book and I got it free so I cant complain even if it does suck, haha.
Oh yea and I went ahead and pre-ordered it from gamestop after I got off BB since I was shall we say... dissappointed!!!
I talked with the storemanager since she was the only one there. I told her what BB did and she was so nice, she gave me the strategy guide for free! so I am still getting the game sometime tomorrow afternoon for pre-orders but she is throwing in the guide for me for free instead of just a "20%" off. She made my day
Also just another thing, Tekken 5 should be out sometime this week or Monday of next week at gamestop (for those ppl into Tekken ^_^ )
Block Buster said 25th! I just returned from there, I was relly hopeing they would get the same time as every one elese. They are only a mile away from me so it would of saved me time and mony to pick it up there!

I use to work at BlockB, of course every BlockB may be under different management; however in general. Once Blockbuster gets a game, they won't release it on shelf until next day and if your pre-ordered or not because they usually don't care a whole lot compared to Best buy would. I would say, a like with Gamestop but less if your not at a Gamerush Blockbuster. It all depends but honestly I doubt they will put it on shelf right away. You can try though since like I said... all different depending on manager. When I worked... we have to put movies out the day it is said to be released but the employess already got to watch (like me, when I did work there).
Its a smaller Block Buster and I have been going there for years so I know the manager well enough to get lucky tomarow night, that is if I dont pick it up elese where first!

Thats because BB isn't just selling video games so their employee's don't specialize in video games. EB is so much smaller of a store, and specialize in video games. BB will get GT4 on tue just like EB.
I called BB and they said it's suppose to be Thurs. but if they get a shipment earlier they will sell it immediately. (oh god I just got sucked into the bandwagon fully )
