Is the Jaguar E type in this game? I think it should be a Premium but it isn't but a DLC with it in would be great. Is it in the UCD section? Havent seen one i think, but why? it is one of the most famous vintage cars... :grumpy:

Yes it is in the game and yes it is in the UCD, you can also get it from a 1961 ticket

I got mine in he usd. When I got it, I also got a trophy for the highest mileage car in the game. I did the engine and chassis restore and its a great little car.

No, you aren't alone

That makes you guys, 2 between 7 billion people. LOL :dopey:

I love it... its a sexy machine. Got 8 or 9 of them. The engine sound is really good, both stock or tuned. :)

Nah. Looks good, goes like rubbish. I remember an interview on TV with a guy who'd rebuilt an early one and drove it every day. The interviewer said it must be great driving a powerful sports car on British roads. The owner was honest. No, he said, the average hot hatch out accelerates the E Type with ease. This was in the early 1980s!

Very true... but it's a Jaaaag.

Yes. But it's now only about how it goes. it's about how it looks, how it sounds... the whole package. :)

The E-Type.

British Racing Green E-Type is a stunner, love taking this thing on the Nordschliefe.

I have a red one nearby. I won't say what effect it has on me, but I can tell you it usually requires new pants.

The E-type its one of the few cars that look incredible in... chrome. Believe me... it really does.

I have my small collection of Jags in various colors and I can't resist when one appears on the UCD.

I might be a yank, but it's only proper to have a E-type in British racing green. You know, to be gentlemanly and all.

But the red one does get the chicks...

I think I'm up to 3 or 4 now, add Enzo_Guy as a friend and I'll give you a stock one. Oh, and don't tune it, I have both and the car is so much more fun left alone!👍

It's one of the better looking standard cars out there. Totally worth buying!

Agreed, it's one of the best looking cars ever made and, for a standard, PD's work on it is actually up to par with the original. I would have loved a Series 1 convertible and a V12 model to be in the game as well.

It may not be the most sporty. But it sure is classy. A neighbor had one when I was younger. He always was washing drool marks off of it. Thank goodness he never ran DNA samples. Would have been awkward.
An E type in British Racing Green will win hearts and minds. Well, on my console it does, anyway.

VCRC (Vintage Car Race Club) is planning a race at Monte Carlo in this car next month!
Lots of interest it seems. :)
Interesting car!

(Most of my favourite cars are NOT premium, alas.)

Oh, I know! Bugs me to no end that PD made a premium Copen, Cappuccino, Insight, Prius, etc before they would bother detailing some of the greatest cars ever made! You cannot possibly convince me that more people playing this game want to see the interior of a Prius than an E-Type, there's just no way.

Classic cars that should have been made premium before the Prius:
'61 Jaguar E-Type
'62 Lotus Elan
'63 Alfa Romeo Giulia Speciale
'63 Chevy Corvette
'65 Shelby GT350R
'65 Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GTA
'66 Alfa Romeo Spider Duetto
'67 Toyota 2000GT
'71 Nissan 240Z
'71 Lotus Europa
'73 Lancia Stratos
'73 Alpine A110S
'76 Volkswagen Golf GTI

That's just to name a few I can think of off the top of my head, and those are merely just cars that had a significant impact to automotive history. What has the Prius done to promote motorsports? Nothing, it is a symbol of the people who oppose auto racing!:grumpy:

It's a lot easier to get your hands on a Prius, Copen or Cappucino than it is getting one, or two if you're lucky, on any of those that you mentionned.

Think about it, those guys are perfectionnists, I'm sure they only model the interior if they can actually sit in it for real to scan everything.

Sometimes, I wish they didn't, but hey, that's PD for you.

No harder than getting their hands on a '65 Alfa Giulia TZ2 race car or a Ferrari F40!

They've build more than 1300 examples of the F40, they build only 14 Giulia TZ2's and just one XJ13, so I also don't buy into the excuse the cars on that list are that hard to get hold of, especially since none are that extremely rare or valuable compared to some examples they did manage to include.

I know this thread is getting a bit old, but when I saw one on one of my all time favorite cars I had to check it out. I have owned three Jags over the years: a 1954 XK 120, a 1968 E-Type series one and the one I currently own, a 1990 XJ-S V-12. All were convertibles, the first two were BRG over black the XJ is black over tan. I have done a fair amount of amateur/club racing in each of them and I can assure you that the physics in the game are way off on the E-type. Every Jag I have owned, driven and raced has stuck to the road like glue. As a matter of fact, it is nearly impossible to kick out the rear end even when you are trying to, much less accidentally! They are a dream to drive.

I love the E type. Won a super car seasonal in it some months back. Mine is (almost) Ecurie Ecosse blue. Great car at 450PP on CS or SH tires.
