Jaguar XJR-9 Premium Gives a Paint Chip?

Opened the ticket and I found a paint chip included that's purple with no name whatsoever. Anyone have any clue as to why this would be there?

I went into the paint chip collection and its there. I would assume it could be painted but I am also under the belief that painting a car could cause a bad glitch.

Test it and dont save it? Why don't you be the one to find out for this car

Tested and it works. Just a weird purple matching Silk Cut's Purple.

Can you paint the XJR-9? Does that glitch or was that the car you painted?

I painted a Pontiac Solstice. I didn't try painting the XJR-9 but that would be weird if it was able to be painted.

Nope, XJR-9 is not paintable. Is this the first instance where a car gives a paintchip that can't actually be painted?

Maybe it's a hidden feature as part of 2.03. Maybe all cars like that will give a paint chip now, such as the RUFs. Doubt it though.

Nope, just bought the BTR and that gives no paint chip. Clearly something was left out of place.

Nope just purchased the RUF from the OCD and no paint chip, I did get a paint chip from the XJR-9 though.

Maybe the RUF colours are Porsche colours and cannot be licensed to PD to name them in-game

This isn't the first car that got a paint chip that wasn't paintable. The Ford Mark IV also had a paint chip but you couldn't paint it.

So, till now 2 guys got a purple "NoName" chip from the XJR-9 LM (P)remium, right? Well, then I think it's legit and not just a glitch.

Could maybe someone post a picture of the "NoName" chip in your paint list? Is the chip listed under "Jaguar"? I am really curious how it looks. DLC not released here till now. Thanks. 👍

The paint chip name on the Mark IV is "Mark IV Red" but the car itself is not paintable, the XJ13 IS paintable, but you do not get a "nameless" chip for it.
