Me too, but I did up the HP with an exhaust and intake mods for the last race on the Kart track... well, you know, it was getting a bit tight by that stage!!

I have found this seasonal to be quite a challenge. Now that we know more of what the opponents are using it gives me a little more respect for the competition. I tried and won with several different cars and found I could not win with CS tires and a PP of <400. I am just not good enough. It takes me getting to a PP of 400-420 like the competition to get gold.

Except for Eiffel where I finally went with SH tires.

I tried the premium supra first and it was to easy. Then the trueno AE86, stage 1 engine, sports intake and an oil change. PP 395 and a joy to drive with no aids and abs on 1 with a DFGT

Used Toyota CELICA XX 2800GT &#8216;81. It understeers like a pig and the open diff makes corner exits slow. Bought the cheapest suspension to it, made some setup changes (brakes 7/6!) and added 50kg ballast to the front. Which made the understeer bearable.

All the rest was good challenge wise except the city track and tsukuba where the understeer just makes the car totally dull. Especially tsukuba is horrible with this car. The 80's challenge as a whole is a nice challenge with that car but it's not really fun car to drive.

Nissan Be-1, modded to 422 PP with Weight Reduction 1, Engine 2, ECU, Sports Intake and Racing Air Filter, Sports Exhaust Manifold, Sports Cat, Titanium Exhaust, 2nd Stage Turbo, Custom Transmission, Twin-Plate, Semi-Racing, LSD, Custom Suspension, and SM tyres.

It's a Go-Kart. Never thought a FF car can make that much fun.

And - yes, I'm that bad - the Events are still a Challenge to me. Can't get 1st place in Tokio, I'm missing top speed - although I did manage 202 km/h while drafting. Scary. Don't have any excuse for Tsukuba, though. Top speed can't be the issue here...

OK, my original idea of the Nissan 240R rally car was way too much, so went for the Celica XX 2800 '81 with sports suspension. It was surprisingly well behaved and the only problem track was Tokyo which ran well into the final lap before I took the lead. After that I went for the Lancer 1800 turbo '83 slightly lightened and lowered with the sports suspension. Much harder but managed to win on all the tracks apart from Tokyo. Will try that one again later.

This series is great! I've never had so much fun driving plastic shoe boxes! What was going on in design houses in the Eighties? "Put the ruler on the floor! Back away from the ruler."

I used the Nissan Fairlady Z 300ZX TwinTurbo 2seater (Z32) '89. It won so unfairly I felt bad afterward. It was pretty fast and handed alright. It's premium too.

Nothing quite like a right angle for that sense of style. Gutted I couldn't use my Volvo 240 GLT.

just tried it with a bone stock MR2 1600G (non supercharged)..... it was way too slow for the competetion, but funner than hell (and surprisingly easy) to get some decent drifts going on in that car. just like the real world car though, it WILL NOT do a donut!

Usually in the ucd its nothing but 80's rx7s and skylines but now that this is up cant find anything from the 80s lol.

I took the Fairlady Z from the Premium Dealership. On Confort Soft tires, no mods at all. The car was powerful than others but with CS rubber, corners were pretty fun. I won all race but it was a bit of a challenge since I became first in the last lap. Note that I manage to race as clean as possible, overtaking in the rules of the art. My Z have 442PP.

I tried it first with the 4200R but it was a way too easy.

I had a 83 Lancer Turbo (silver) with 0 miles in my garage so i put sport exhaust, filter, intake and cat on it and ran it with sport hards. The same car is in the OCD but in a red color. Very fun car to drive, all aids off even being RWD it wouldnt spin.

Toyota MR2 1600 super charger with oil change + catalytic converter + sports air filter + ecu = tons of fun

Excellent recommendation... I'm having a blast with mine. I'm running it with a racing exhaust (sounds like banshee) and ride height suspension stiffened up a bunch with a touch of camber, plus a wing to keep the back end planted. Also move the weight basis forward and the handling improves tremendously! With gripper tires it sticks like glue but makes these races too easy so I left the stock tires on.

I used the mr2 supercharged as well and it was mighty fun. Bone stock except an oil change and I won tsukabu on the sweeping right hander of the last lap by .2 seconds or so.

I found the skyline gts-t type m (i think that's it) to be fun as well. Quite a bit quicker than the mr2 but sometimes it's needed as I can't always win with the mr2. Gonna try the mr2 on the eifel trackw hen I get home from work.

The only problem with mine is the color! Two-tone, green over beige, yuk. But that's the 80's! I wonder, if I paint it, does the two-tone stay, or will it all be one color?

The one I bought from the OCD (white and black) became a single colour when I painted it the metallic Taiga green yesterday

I used the Nissan Fairlady Z 300ZX TwinTurbo 2seater (Z32) '89 as well, fully modded, but then detuned via limiter to meet regs. Nissan Dark Blue Pearl paint and silver chrome rims, car looks nice with the body mods, factory looking wing, and carbon hood.

Also used the setup recommended by RKM Motorsport, whiched helped alot.
