MR2 and Mugen Civic are only giving me 1:08.xxx.

1:08 is good enough to beat pretty much all of them except the R32
and maybe the Eunos

My modded to 420pp and tuned MR2 1600 G-limited is running 1:08.002 - 1:08.8xx at Tsukuba. My best was +7.082 behind the leader.

Anyone having any luck with this car? Average lap times?

Just caught the Accord '88 on the pole at Tsukuba. Had the Skyline in 2nd and the Mazda in 3rd. As long as the Accord didn't give up the lead before lap 5 you can win the race with average laps in the low 1:10s. If it gets passed earlier in the race by either of the other 2 you'll need to run a lot faster laps to win.:drool:

By the way the prize for golding all the races is a R89C...:gtpflag:

As others have said, You need to have the City Turbo II start first:)

Uh, You can beat it running 1:07.5's. He beat me by 6 seconds and I was averaging 1:08.6

yeah tsukuba is tough i usually breeze through these events.... the #1 car is 30 secs ahead on the first lap thats really really far ahead. so much so the few cars i had wouldnt catch it at 420pp i tried a 89 miata and the supra 3.0 .. i so went and found a 97 honda civic mugen motul racecar in my used car dealer that was able to do it with some tweaking mainly lowering the transmission top speed so it was geared real short to make up for the lack of turbos

I love how for almost 2 weeks now, half the used car lot has been 80's cars. Tonight though, I've been through about 20 game days and have yet to see one.

Seems to be the Mitsubishi '84 Starion 4wd rally car or the Honda '87 civic mugen race car at this stage.

Yes,used also the city for my first attempt with a Nissan two seater premium,got to 1 sec.

Then I bought a Eunos Roadster Premium,fully tuned,downgraded to 420.
Started in a field with on top the Civic ´83,Corolla ´83 and the Sprinter Trueno ´83.

The field you start is big factor for the win or not.:)

I overtook the leader in the first bend of the last lap.

Nice seasonal :),Tsukuba kept me busy this morning.👍

Like I said, something's not square here..... the miata romps away in P1 and then gets held up by the honda city in the next race? I saw this too...

Had a hard time like most of you until I used the Mitsubishi Starion Rally Car...won by 2.5secs when the Honda Civic 1500 3door 25i '83 was at the front of the grid.
 
I found an Isuzu concept in my premium garage & detuned to 420pp & caught the Miata on the back straight on last lap of Tuskuba .Nice car

there is other way to do the tsukuba, just re-enter the race until rabbits are gone ;)
 
I JUST BEAT IT WITH A MIATA 89' IT IS NOT EASY. I GOT THE GTS LAST CORNER. YOU HAVE TO LOWER THE SUSPENSION TO THE LOWEST AND TIGHTEN THE GEAR RATIO DON'T BUY ANY ENGINE TUNING. ADD AN EXTRA 200KG TO THE MIATA AND USE A TURBO stage 1 MY LAP TIMES WERE IN THE RANGE OF 1.07.600'S-1.08.300's. The first lap is the key to winning, you have to ram against the first 2 cars and so they won't slow you down.

If use the mugen civic, don't forget to lower all aerodynamic to get extra hp, and toe out all the way. I beat the miata with it, best lap 1.06.8xx

Just done mine..won at deep forest, le sarthe and aso..got 3rd at tsukuba and 2nd at london..used Skyline GTS-t '89..going to use other cars now..

same here.. the car just brakes so badly because the cs tires and understeers alot :ouch::confused:

guess just need to keep on tuning.. any tips for that?

edit: 8 secs behind the 1st

Eunos 89' can easily win it if it is a good draw like civic at the front. 12 seconds win with an average lap of 1:08. 2nd attempt. First lap at 1:09. Set transmission to 180 and max the pp. 5:44 min total. Should good enough even for gts at the fore. Needs better driving for eunos at the front.
In short, if you got civic at front, you need lap time of 1:10 to win. If you got gts, you need 1:08 lap. For eunos, a low 1:08 or high 1:07 maybe enough. Yet to try that as I only did 3 runs.

Got 2nd at my first try with the Motul Civic 87, 9 seconds behind leader..

I need to tune my LSD better, as the suspension too.
