Hop in to the members rides section mate, you'll see a lot of threads about people's cars, some Japanese some not.

I'll put my hand up and say I have a Toyota Celica GT-Four, for the record :)

I've got JDM engine and transmission in my Honda. No right hand drive though. I'm kinda-sorta thinking it would be worth it to import a car as old and cheap as mine, but then again there's a reason the steering wheel is on the left in this country.

"It's just a forum"

GTP isn't just any forum. I just questioned your age because it looked like you were pretty young judging by your posts. But since you own a car, my question was answered somewhat. Still, thread doesn't make much sense. 👍

h22?

Yup. I miss my old single-cammer F22A though. If ever I crack and go to the dark side by buying a Civic hatch, it's getting an F-swap right away.

Bought the engine from hmotorsonline.com and did the work myself. Got the tranny locally last year but am going to order a new one in about a week.

Ive been lookin for a cheap b18c swap... Of course not cheap enough that the engine doesnt work...

I dont yet have a pic of it in the car but this was during the swap. I'm waiting until I have my suspension installed early next month to do a final, good, photoshoot up in the mountains.

Engine was 1575 shipped. Tools and other parts (several not needed, like that glorified sock-on-a-tube and the mounts) brought that to just about 3000. I've got it all documented somewhere.

It wasn't exactly off topic...

Even within the Honda community, which seems to embrace "JDM" most, it's not all that common to import. Cali's got a decent handful of genuine Civics and Integras (and illegal 240SX-titled Silvias and Skylines) but importing anything not yet 25 yrs old into the US can get costly.

Yes they can especially if you do it "legally..."
