This will be an all-new series. I decided to do a new one because I felt that it was going to be short as you see, the previous one got a new Ferrari in just the first chapter! Hope you understand.

The song, Jetlag was one of the main inspirations for the name but what it means really is that my characters will be racing around the world. Hence the name, Jetlag.

Hi. I'm Sarah.

I was on the subway today when I was speaking to my bestie, Chloe..

"Hey babe!"
"Hey! How are you?"
"Great! I'm currently taking the train to Oka to visit the European car dealer."
"Oh! Do you need a ride?"
"Oh nope, i'm nearly there..."
"Alright. I've gotta recommend you a place near Route 7. It's an European used car dealer. I've seen great cars with low mileages at low prices there! Plus, do look at the Japanese showrooms by the way. It's at Oka too. Directly opposite the European dealer!"
"Wow, thanks babe! I gotta go. The station's coming up."
"Bye! Good luck!"

I hanged up the call and stood up to prepare as the speakers say, "We have arrived at the Oka Interchange. If you would like to continue your journey on the East line, please alight."

After I exited, I went to the taxi stand to flag a cab to get there.

At the dealer..

"Hi, how may I help you?"
"Oh hi! I'm looking for a car below 30 thousand credits.
"Alright. Please follow me."

He escorts me to what I see is a Volkswagen Golf GTI.



"This is a Volkswagen Golf GTI, which produces 190 hp and weighs 1336 kg with a FF drivetrain."
"No thanks..."
"Ok, i'll bring you to the next car."



"This is a Peugeot 207 GTi with 172hp and weighing 1260kg with a FF drivetrain."
"Not bad."
"I'll bring you the last car."

The last? Whoa, this dealer has some limited options.



"This is a Citroen C4---"
"No thanks. I don't want a family car."
"OK, this concludes the selection of cars below 30 grand.
"OK. Thanks for the time. I'll think about it."

I exited and crossed the road to the Japanese dealership.

"Hi! How may I help you at the Japanese dealer?
"Hi. I'm looking for a car below 30 grand."
"OK, but we have a limited choice here."

She brings me to what looks like that Honda concept. What's the name?



"This is the Honda CR-Z. It's a FF car which produces 118 hp and weighs 1130kg. By the way, I heard you muttering about this looking like a Honda concept. This is the production car of what you are thinking of."
"Oh, thanks, but it's way too underpowered."
"Ok, fine, we have 2 more cars to go."



"This is the Honda Civic Type R. It is a FF car which produces 214 hp and weighs 1270kg."
"Not bad!"
"OK, here comes the last car."



"Here is the Mazda Roadster RS. It is a FR car which produces 167hp and weighs at 1100kg."
"I don't like it. It looks weird."
"Well, that's all."
"Thanks for your time. I got to go."
"Welcome and goodbye!"

I had to take the subway again, and I saw that I missed a text. It said - "How's it going?" from Chloe. I speed dialed her number and I perk up.

"Hey!"
"Hi! How's it going?"
"Pretty good. I'm going to the used car dealer that you recommended me to."
"I bet you will find a car there. I bet 50 credits that you will."
"Bet on!"

I hung up as the speakers said, "We are approaching Route 7. Please prepare if you are alighting."

I left the station, and it was conveniently tucked beside a tyre shop.

"Hi! What can I do for you?"
"Hi, i'm looking for a car below 30 grand."
"We have quite a lot of cars below that range. Any preferences?"
"Preferably above 150hp."
"Hmm, alright."

He was showing me a list of cars with pictures on his iPad.



"Fiat 500 1.2 8V Lounge SS '08. 15,000 km, 1053 kg, FF drivetrain."
"Yes?"
"Oh nothing. Was just reading the details."

Wait.

There's a perfect green Mini that I love.



"Mini Cooper S '07. 20,000 km, 195hp, 1030kg, FF. I'd like this car please."
"OK. I'll bring you to it."

In the carpark, was the Cooper S.

"Have you checked the engine and electrics?"
"Yep."
"Interior? I don't want my car to have a load of nasal mucus and pubic hair."
"Yes. We the staff didn't at first but after seeing that episode of Top Gear made us think the cars were gross. So now, all cars are checked on the interiors."
"Here's the cash."

I handed him some 5 thousand notes from my wallet.

"Thanks! Here are the keys."

I quickly drove off in joy. I have my own car!

I texted Chloe, "Yep, I lost."

She replied, "Oh my god, what did you get?"

I replied, "A green Mini!"

I was soon on the highway...



And soon home.

Jetlag - Chapter 1 (Mini)​



I was on Route 7 at 11.50 pm. I had just knocked off from work. I was really frustrated about some issues. So, I plugged my iPhone into the stereo. I blasted World Is Mine by Hatsune Miku to relieve my frustration. That song always cheers me up! :)

Somehow, I heard a super loud exhaust. Who's that at 12 midnight?!

It was a Fiat 500! O.O​



It quickly swerved to avoid me. Then, it screeched to a halt. But, why is she reversing into the road shoulder?!





She was still reversing at this stage. I paused the music and I tooted the horn for a few seconds. I think she couldn't hear me because I could hear the parking sensor from here.

Then, she got out. She walked to my car and I wound down the windows.

"Hi."
"Hi. Nice exhaust."
"Thanks. Nice Mini. I'm part of the Funguro gang."
"Isn't that the gang that is interested in racing?"
"Yes. I'd like to invite you to Suzuka."
"Hmm, ok. Prize and laps?"
250 thousand. 1 lap of the East course."
"Alright. When?"
"Tomorrow 9am."
"OK. See you there."

She walked back to her car and I wound my windows back up. I went to speed dial Carla.

"Babe, i'm in a race!"
"So fast?!"
"Yep. Tomorrow 9am at Suzuka East."
"Prize?"
"250 thousand."
"Wow. Good luck!"
"Thanks, I gotta go home soon!"

And there I zoomed off for home.

The race is done. Just that i'm a bit busy with writing the chapter :P If you like it, it's the green on the Premium Golf R32.

Time - 9 AM



"God, Eve's gonna kill me for racing instead of picking the girls up from school!"



"Just one last race to a PS3 and G27!"



"The mighty Integra will win!"



"I so need a new car! I hate the elephant looks of this Primera! And it's not even from the Prime Era!"



"Wow. Those are a lot of family cars."



"The French are the best at cars!"



"There's another Integra at the front?! I'm dead..."



"I hope I can get a new AE86.. the modern Levin sucks!"

"3, 2, 1, go!"

I pushed the pedal to the floor.



But how hard I pushed, I couldn't catch the Primera. Soon, we arrived at the corner and I braked.





I had the outside line. But somehow, I understeered and he got away.



But I had a turbo and I got a boost! Bye bye Primera!

"Sigh... my Primera is too slow."



Soon, I passed the pole Familia, who had been overtaken by the Integra and Celica.

"Argh! Now isn't all this a waste? I just wanted to earn some cash for some toys for them!"



Soon, I caught the Integra at the last part of the S curves. The Celica was just a few feet away.

"No! Integras are not supposed to be beaten!"



Soon, the last corner arrived. I had better speed at the exit, so I overtook him.



"No! I have lost 20,000 now!"



I gave my last and final push to the finish line.



Yes! 250,000 in the bag!

Location - Paddocks
Time - 6pm

In the paddocks, I saw the girl from last night waiting for me.

"Hi! Thanks for the recommendation!"
"You are welcome. To be honest, I am part of a team of scouts who look for talented drivers to test Citroen's new prototypes."
"Wow."
"Yes. I'd like to ask you, would you join the team to test them?"
"I'm honoured to."
"Great. For starters, I have a project for you. One of our guys will send you a body that is fitted with everything. Your job is to improve it and make the fastest it can be. 10pm at Gion, Kyoto. Deal?"
"Deal."
"You better go now. It takes some time to get there!"

I left Suzuka, and off for Gion.

Location - Kyoto, Gion
Time - 10pm



After a few fuel and rest stops, I arrived. I parked where Yuka and Kei's apartment was.

I looked in front. Wow, what was that thing?



I saw a guy just beside the Citroen.



I walked over, and had a conversation with him.

"Hi."
"Hi. Are you Sarah Azuki?"
"Yes."
"Thanks. Here are the keys to the car. It works, by the way. I believe Arika has explained to you what you need to do."
"Yep. So, when's the deadline?"
"I'll contact you. Can I have your business card or number?"
I passed him my business card.
"A banker... surprising."
"Haha. See you."

I went back to the car, and plugged out my iPhone. I called Yuka, from Kyoto to Switzerland. Haha.

"Hey Yuka!"
"Hey! Who's this?"
"This is Sarah. I think we raced together before."
"Oh! Sarah Azuki!"
"Yep. Knowing that you live in Gion, could I stay over at your place? I'm here, to collect something from a friend."
"I think you should ask Kei."
"Thanks. So how was Europe?"
"Great! We've had a few victories."
Lucky you! Well, i'm gonna go upstairs now. Bye!"
"Bye Sarah! See you in Japan."

I hung up and went up the stairs. I knocked the door, and Kei received it.

"Hi Kei!"
"Hi Sarah. What are you doing here?"
I'm asking if I could stay over. Shoren-in's pretty far away and i'm super tired.
"Uh, okay. Could you take Yuka's room?"
"Okay."

As soon as I hit the bed, I fell asleep.

*sigh*.

I'm being frank here. When writer's block attacks, just don't do anything until you can write again. Making new threads and then just closing them up just takes unnecessary space in this forum, and I kinda hate it when people don't finish what they start.

This is a promising fanfic too and it's just disappointing if you bury it in obscurity. Just a piece of advice, take it or leave it.
 
You have writers Block, Ryou has writers block, I had it awhile back. WHAT THE HELL!!!!! Just don't worry, you'll be back better than ever when it's gone, like I was with my music.

I was watching the News by GT channel. Suddenly...

"Hello and welcome to the 7am news by GT. Citroen had just released information about their new recruit to test their new supercar, the Citroen GT. Don't you think it's stunning, Ami?"
"It is. Just look at those curves!"
"The new recruit's name is... Sarah Azuki!"

I was flabbergasted. I thought she was just having some time with a friend but little did I know that she collected the keys and stayed at her friend's place! I decided to make a call.



"Mushi mushi?"
"What's that electric noise?"
"You read the news?"
"Yep. Congrats my darling!"
"Thanks baby! I'm now at the NSH, travelling to Dad's garage. Guess i'll see you in the afternoon. I gotta go. There's a traffic police motorbike nearby."
"Bye."

Hmmmm, to be quite honest. I thought this chapter wasn't as good as I hoped. I know you have writers block (still? I don't know) but if so, just leave it, it's a good writer's block effort (I couldn't create anything when I had it, I just continually threw out anything I made)
 
^ Well, that sucks. Not the chapter, I meant the homework.
