Chapter 3 - LM Race Cars?!​

Time - 6pm
My Location - Shoren-in

I was home with Kimura, watching some television dramas. It's surprising that he likes it. Considering that I completed the project of tuning, I called Katherine.

"Hello?"
"Hey, it's Sarah. I've finished tuning."
"Wow that's fast."
"Yep. So when's the race?"
"3 days later."
"Alright. Bye."

I hung up and started packing.

Time - 9 am
My Location - Monza, Italy

So here we were - in sunny Italy. Unfortunately, Kimura couldn't come. Oh well. Katherine and I were just having breakfast before the race which was 11am. She was informing me about the race.

"Oh ok."
"Yeah. You should know that every month there's a "Prototype Race." It's where automakers test their prototypes. You are entered in the competition. You should know that you are racing against Le Mans cars."
"Serious?!"
"Yes."
"And how many laps?"
"One. Again."

Time flew and it was soon 11 am.

Speakers - "Competitors of the Prototype Race of August, please get on the grid!"

It was a rolling start and I was seventh.

Soon off the line, I changed lanes to overtake the FTO.



Soon, I overtook him and changed back to the original lane.



I powered on, and it was time to BRAAAAKKEEEEE!!!



Soon, I became 4th.





Soon I passed the Fairlady....



And at the chicane, I became 2nd.



Soon, I was chasing him.





I had suddenly run wide but kept my position.





Soon, we arrived at the next corner. I had upgraded the brakes, and braked better than the Ford.



Woah, those Brembos are really glowing!



Soon, I was far ahead from the Ford GT.



Suddenly at the next corner, my brakes locked up. 🤬 !



But it was alright in the end.



So now, 780 hp and 1800 nm of torque, get past the finish line!



Yes!



I seriously can't wait to go home.

Ssssssshhhhhh. You're gonna stop his fan fic again if this keeps up. :lol:

As for actual difficulty...I'm not sure. The AI was weakened from rain, but my GTO was down on power compared to the Citroen (but still even with the other cars). Besides which, I was giving the AI chances within the whole ten laps. :indiff:

I might try to beat the XJR-9 in the rain in the GTO (not as part of the fanfic). I was faster than it barely in the dry on Sarthe in the Citroen GT Race Car, so...how hard can it be? :confused:
 
Haha, it was definitely easier than C-ZETA's GTO. Excuse me, 1800nm of torque!
 
Is car shopping considered bad at this stage considered that we just had a prologue on it recently? It's not for Sarah. :)
 
Jetlag - Mini Chapter 4 - Mysterious​

Time - 12am
Location - In the air

"Hey Kat. You awake?"
"Yeah. Yes?"
"Here are the keys."
"Haha, didn't you know it was fully yours?"
"Serious?"
"Yeah. But, you gotta lend it to us sometimes. We need to know your recipe that beat the LM cars."
"OK. Thanks!"

Sarah's Location - Deep in dream.






Whoa! I'm drifting at De La Sarthe with what appears to be a FR Ferrari. Somehow, it had a hardtop. And a DSG gearbox. Is this a vision of a mission I need to do?

But at the time of the moment, I woke up. I saw Kimura using his MacBook Pro looking at AutoTrader.

"Hey baby. You woke up?"
"Yeah."

I proceeded to tell him about the dream.

"Woah. A hardtop convertible Ferrari? That is definitely extraordinary."
"Yeah."
"Um baby, i've been eyeing this for a while."

He shows me the site. Wow. An Audi R8 V10 for a trade of a sports car and a hatchback?

"The fact was that he wanted a hatchback. So I discussed with him and he'd love to have the Mini. So since you have the Citroen, could you just sacrifice the Mini? Please?"
"Alright. But we gotta go meet up."
"He lives nearby. Let's take a walk."

I quickly changed into a dress and put on my Swarovski-encrusted Havaianas. After a few minutes of walking...



Wow. It is beautiful.

"Hi, i'm Ben. You must be Kimura's wife. I've heard you agreed to trade the Mini to me. Thanks, and congratulations on the win with the Citroen at Prototype Race."
"Thanks. Hey, would you mind if you let us borrow the car for the day? We'd like to test it."
"Sure. Could I borrow the Mini too?"
"Alright."

I opened my Balenciaga and looked for the Prada pouch.

"Here."
"Thanks. Enjoy!"

He passed me the keys and I got into the drivers seat while Kimura sat on the passenger seat. Shortly after starting the engine, I started to rev.

"Wow, isn't that an awesome exhaust?"
"Yep. So where shall we go?"
"I'm planning to go to the newly opened High Speed Ring. But first of all, shall we have brekkie?"
"Hmm, ok. Wild Honey again?"
"If you want ;)"



And soon, we left.
 
That's one hell of a nice looking Audi.

Location - High Speed Ring

We had breakfast at Wild Honey before reaching the new High Speed Ring. I just love the Eggs Benedict there...

And back to High Speed Ring. Enough of fantasizing about food. We had pulled in into the garage we rented for the day. We had put on our racing suits and off we went into the track. But soon, we hit a problem. A group of supercars were having a race. There was still a space left so we decided to race.

I changed lanes to pass the Murcielago.



And sailed past it.



"Whoa... this was one of the last Murcielagos off the assembly line! And to be passed by your sister's brother? Simply embarrassing!"

Next the Corvette...



"Well, I kinda expected it..."

Then the Viper ACR.



"Shame on us Americans... to be passed by a supposedly 518hp car. But it totally isn't one! Bet it's modded."

Again, the Bugatti...



"How did he just pass the fastest car in the world?"
"Simply because you are so heavy, dumbass."

Now the S-curves. I passed the RUF under braking.



"Boy. I knew I should've bought the R8."

And drifted a bit on the exit.



Wow, the V10 sounds just so lovely. So different from the 4.2 V8.





I skidded a bit again at the next curve... but it was just so easy to correct it.



And past the line for the 1st lap, here comes the second lap. I'll be skipping a bit because I was lonely and started to talk to Sarah.

"Not so harsh on the throttle!"



We passed the beautiful lake but couldn't see it after 4 seconds due to the blisteringly fast speed the R8 produced.



And across the line!



We pulled over in the garage and removed the racing suits and headed home.

Location - Shoren-in, Kyoto





I called him on my iPhone and he arrived here soon.

"So, what you think?"
"Deal."
"Can I have my key pouch back?"
"Sure."

He handed over the Prada key pouch with the Mini keys removed.

"Thanks."

We soon left and walked home.

Just one suggestion, why are the other racers mute? There's no life in the chapter without it.
 
Hey look, another race I've done in my fanfic :D And one that I did in a much inferior car :indiff: Try and get the car you use to try a more challenging race, like my Clio racing in the Tuning Car Grand Prix and the Supercar Festival. If I was you I'd give that R8 a go in the Dream Car Championship or the GT World Championship depending on how much HP it actually has.

GT All Stars then. Odds are winning will be a ridiculously challenging idea but at least beating a ton of others is OK. In real life, no one expects an R8 to win over LMP's but at least it will be a good race for you. ;)

I was home, watching GT-News.

"It seems like the Watanabes are back! It has been revealed that Miki had a illegitimate child and he's already twenty! His name is Kimi Watanabe."

Hmm, what does it take to race Kimi? I went to Team Nightshade's website to find out and it turns out you needed to race their Lieutenants. It turns out that you need a car of the same drivetrain so for example if it's the FF Lieutenant, you need a FF car. But first to get all of the cars I need, I needed the cash. I decided to race in one of the highest paying events at Route 246.

"Hey Sarah. Here are the fries from Mac."
"Remembered the cheese sauce from KFC?"
"Yeah. Where should I put it?"
"Give it to me. I'm having it in the car."

I was waiting for the announcer to start the race as I munched on my fries.

"1, 2, 3, GO!"

I stomped on my accelerator and the electric engine hissed angrily.



But soon, it was time to BRAAAAKEEEEE!



And due to the excellent Brembos, I could brake late and pass them. Bye French Fries!

"Nooo!"





Soon, I passed a french fry again. 2 more to go!

"A 🤬 electric car just passed me!"



Passed another french fry again, 1 more to go...

"Whoa, that's out of my league..."



And past the pole Fairlady.

"She started in 7th! I started in 1st!"



I was soon developing a huge gap. Noticed the Zonda passed the Fairlady, good for the Zonda!

"And now 3rd! *facepalm*"



Soon, I was at the last corner...



But I suddenly understeered and almost scraped the barriers..





But anyway, soon past the line!



I soon pulled over in the garage. I got out of the car and saw an unfamiliar face.

"Hi."
"Hi, who are you...?"
"Sorry, forgot to introduce myself. I'm Jerron Ascari and work as a test driver for Ferrari."
"Oh. So what are you doing here?"
"I've heard of you testing the GT by Citroen which you are driving here and your unbelievable feat versus the Le Mans racing cars."
"Yeah..."
"So, i'd like you to test one of our new prototypes of a new model we are planning."
"Alright. So am I supposed to tune it...?"
"Yeah. Then, you'll race all of our models, for example the Enzo, the 458 Italia, the 512BB and the recently discontinued F430."
"Seems challenging."
"Yeah. I'll deliver the car soon to your home."
"Kay. Thanks."

I soon drove off for home.

Location - Shoren-in

"So he invited you to test a car?"
"Yeah!"

The bell rang.

"That must be the guy."

"Hi."
"Hi. I am here to deliver the car. Here are the keys and the car is parked outside."
"Uhh, okay."
"Can you please sign here?"

I signed the paper and he soon left. I went out to see what the car looked like.



Whoa... isn't this the car from that dream?

"Okay, let's get to work!"

I recently found out that by the end of Hashiriya Volume 4, Miki is 26. And the date for the last chapter was in 2012. So well, just think of it as part of your imagination or this was far in the future. :)
