sorry to see there is not more interest, i'd be happy to join
i love endurance.

if there are more drivers signing up, i'll take the 350Z motul pitwork.

Thank you very much for your interest. What car number would you like? (1-99)

I was beginning to think no one wanted to join in. Not sure why. Guess most people here are one- or five-lap wonders. I was hoping some of the people who enjoy doing endurance races (and post write-ups about them) would sign up, since I think it would be nice to have something other than the slow AI to compete against. I was also hoping some of the "Walter Mittys" like myself, who wish they were race car drivers would participate, since this is about the most "realistic" race available.

Anyone want to help me out? Comments, suggestions, etc.? Bad scheduling? Don't like the rules?

I WANT IN TOO!! Enduro racing woohoo - my kind of race

Just need to pick my car ?? will have to get back to you on that :dopey: will have to do a little testing to see which one i like to use. :sly:

I take it minimal contact with the AI ?? they can be anoying at times lol

Give it time more will come
EDIT
will take the "Tom's castrol toyota supra 2001" "#24" (gordon fan :sly: )

where in fla do you live? i live here too

Hey, this one looks like a good time! Stock JGTC (for all intents) running the Grand Valley 60 Enduro. Will be a great opportunity to adjust to the new angles of my all time favorute course 👍

Sign me up in the Nissan Xanavi Nismo Skyline GT-R, number 1 if you don't mind ;) :)

KOOL! I'm in. 👍 Thankfully slowpoke just PMed me or I might have missed this! :irked: Will attempt to test a bit tomorrow AM & try to find a suitable ride. THANX...O.G. :D

BTW: Just ran 62 Laps @ GVR this AM in a stock GrpC ride vs the Formula GT crowd!

I'll race. Still looking at the cars. #23
Edit/ Pennzoil Nissan Skyline GT-R '1999 version please. The yellow car with the #1 on it.

👍 👍 👍 👍 👍

THANK YOU ALL! This is really cool that this is taking off. I was beginning to think this was going over like a lead balloon. Thank you to every one who has signed up so far.

O.G., I thought about sending you a PM about this race, since I figured it would be right up your alley.

Driven, I'm from Lakeland, about halfway between Tampa and Orlando in Polk (pronounced "Poke" :) ) County.

Thanks again to everyone.

Hiya Mulsanne: (Kool "moniker" BTW! 👍 )
Found my first three choices to be very close in testing but since I have the most miles in the NISSAN MOTUL PITWORK Z (JGTC) '04 & have three of them in my Garage, I'd like to use it. Since it's Friday the 13th...the number 13 will be fine as well. Looking forward to some GREAT Racing! ...O.G. :D

Yea - this is going to be fun :)

the short little races - one lap wonders just isn't my style, though do it for fun "WRS"

give me a race where tire wear and handling is everything

i live on the east coast 1/2 way between daytona and titusville - volusia :dopey:

Yeah, endurance races are great because they're closer to what a real-life race is. And as a "Walter Mitty" wannabe race car driver, these are perfect for me. I just hadn't seen any Enduro online races since GT2 and wanted to do one. The GTBN board did a few with GT2 that I participated in (one JGTC Skyline race, one JGTC GT300 race and a Super Touring car event) and enjoyed every minute of them.

BTW, what's your opinion on the etiquette for a person hosting a race and choosing a car? I'd originally thought about waiting a week after announcing the race (today) and there's a particular car I think I might want to enter, but I want to leave the choice open to anyone wishing to enter.

DRIVEN, there are quite a few racers in your area. Gilles27, GB24hours (Ormand Beach), Reddog78(Titusville). GB owns GTBN. There is talk of a GT get together in the fall at GB's house. There have been numerous I-link gatherings in the past.

We ran a whole GT3 Endruo series over at GTBN a couple years ago. We ran every Endro once and even ran a 50 lap Rally race at Swiss Alps. It was a one shot try so you had to practice alot to set up your car with the right tires. I think we had 20 drivers every week who submitted times. Now that I remember, I bought my red Momo at the beginning of that series. My thumbs were getting worn out.

Well Mulsanne, seems you've found some "Kindred Spirits!" Both slowpoke & GT3mich contested the Diablo Series I hosted some time ago & if I remember correctly the Final Round was the Enduro at GVR vs the JGTC Guys. Of course we had to cut the HP down to around 366 to find a good race!

Sadly in GT4 w/out being able to adjust the HP I fear the only time we'll be in traffic is when we're Lappin' 'em! ...O.G. :D

GTBN?? Doesn't ring a bell - what and where?

cool to have racers nearby - think i met one guy (don't have a clue who) at the local EB store at the mall a while back when gt4 first said it was going to be released, heh ran down right away to order it

Been racing GT since #1 - always liked the enduros and the longer races.
My fav. is the RT11 from GT3 - mazda 787 ran 17 lap stints w/ times of mid 1:30.'s to low 1:40.'s consistantly.

💡 Could make this a monthly or biweekly Enduro series BTW (1 hour or longer races) - it takes time to run some of the longer races - organizing it would bring in more racers 👍

I have a few ideas for standard rules and such

IA contact - NO bumper to bumper or hard contact - only light paint swaping do to passing (ai bumps into you in a turn etc) AI is a pain in GT4 (revenge of the AI i think)

Light off course activities - requires a manditory pitstop in 3 laps or less. No wall contact etc.

Looks like you started something MOLSANE :sly: 👍 👍

O.G., yes I have found some kindred spirits here. Yesterday, I found fellow Newcastle United fans and today I find fellow Endurance racing fans. This place is great!

Yeah, too bad PD screwed up enduros. The AI is really weak so we have to find vastly inferior cars just to have a decent, fun race. That and the complete lack of practice/qualifying for enduros, which means we can't even work on our cars or judge the competitiveness of our cars to the AI field. Very disappointing.

Driven, once we get through this race, I was thinking about doing the same for the Tokyo R246 300kms. and the Laguna Seca 200 miles races.

BTW, I think a week is enough time to post my car choice. I'll take the Xanavi Nismo Nissan Skyline, with a nice big red #5 for Il Leone.

That was a fun series, Bob! :D I even beat pokey twice to my amazement. I'm sure to his also. Looking forward to getting beat again.

I'm in man 👍 I'll give you my car choice during the weekend because I just got GT4 two days ago and I'm not yet at 25% since I worked alot on silvering at least every license test. Hope to be part of this and race in my first GT4 competition.

I wasn't amazed 'Mich, or even surprised! 👍 :) That was the funnest part of the series, the competition :D

Seeing as we have over a full week before qualifying starts, would anyone care for a lil spot race? Nothing real close to the actual race, but something to whet our appetite until then, and may fill the final few entries. I did some of my initial car and tire testing in a race at GV II for 6 laps, think it was in the Extreme Hall. We could add the #3 Turbo to all cars and run R3 tires (too much HP for the Enduro and doubtful anyone would use that tire for either qualifying or actual race). Would give us time to get the mirrors just right, and figure out where to put the cup holders ;).

Mulsane, you're driving this ship so it's your call. I'd help out anyway I can. 👍
