JGTC S1 Round 2 Qualif + Results

Alright! I'm happy with my results, Team KPM should do strong this week. Congrats hot and veil :)

Well not really, for a reference point on what you need to improve don't check with the leaders, check with a driver who's driving the same car as you. EvO's got the same car and you're not even 1 sec over his time...not all that bad. 👍
 
OMG the MR-S are so fast this round :eek: They are going to be one hell of a threat in the actual race. :nervous:

Yea i know, much better then the last qualifying session though when i only had time to do 8 laps and had to take it up the rear hard once i had to start running the race becuase i barely know motegi and i hate that track.

I could have easily choped off another .5 this time around if i just had more time to practice but i don't. Oh well as long as me and ange08 submit times for all the races i have a feeling we will do fairly well.
 
just missed out yet again.

1'03 was possible but i didnt get the time to do it.
 
Hey, I was right. I was happy with my time till I saw the results :banghead: .
There is something that I'm not understanding with this driving caper i fear :dunce: , thought there may have been another .2 , but over a sec off the pace eeek !

Well done to Veils & Eatsviper for thier respective Pole Positions 👍

I am quite impressed here at my overall comparison to the other 300's. I figure I would be like dead last, because of my way past performance with WRS.

Maybe I have found that niche .... Good work there MR 👍 Gratz to the Pole Positions also. Lots of close times here, will be interesting come the finish line on race day.
 
Really close times in GT300 could be anybodys race.
In the end i am happy with my qualifying time.

I guess 5th wasn't as bad as I thought, but the gap between me and the top 4 is really disappointing though. :(

Good work there, Teledriel. 👍 Let's bring on them stupid AI's!
 
I knew those 2 Nissan's would be fast in every round. There they are, back at the top again. I qualified midpack again, could be better, could be worse...
 
The NSX's still have some unexploited performance in them I know it, potential is there and just waiting to come to life. :) Go NSX drivers go. :cheers:
 
Hey viper, were we allowed to use the paved curbing on the inside of turn 6 (tunnel)? I'm trying to figure out how I lost so much time to you in T2, because I managed the fastest T1 in GT300 even with my weight penalty, and the rest of my lap was pretty damn fast and clean... :confused:

Good question I threw out several faster times than I posted due to the going onto the paved curbing in the tunnel.

You were allowed to use all the paved section for sure, but the lap I posted was done staying well inside. :) It's just not my type to use stuff like that to my advantage.

Anyway, if you feel like sharing I'd be keen to see a video of your replay, or maybe just PM me your corner speeds in turns 5, 6, and 7. The perfectionist in me needs to know :)

Yep I have all my JGTC replays saved and will get a MaxDrive in the upcoming month to share them all. Just a sec I'll go check the speed on those corners. The thing I know is that I lost .1 after T2 that I wasn't normally loosing, that lap was a 1'09.5xx easy easy. :guilty:

I didn't use those paved sections, and as for the rest of D1 GT500 drivers I doubt any of them did, either.
 
Not sure what each turn is but you should still find yourself in this. :) Those are the lowest speeds coming or into the turns.

Turn 1 : 145kph
Turn 2 (S) : Flat
Turn 3 (Tunnel) : 142kph
Turn 4 : 145kph
Turn 5 : Flat
Turn 6 : 89kph (sucky **** that I normally took at 95+)
Turn 7 (S) : Flat

Oh and my top speed was at 250.
 
:confused: Talk about close competition. Okay I give up, I'll have to see the replay. That looked like a resume of MY lap :lol:

BTW, I'm using PAL, so .max replays of NTSC systems won't work for me. Do we have someone here who can convert replays to .avi or something?

For what it's worth now, I ran a 2-stop strategy, pitting on laps 11 and 22. Ran softer fronts on the final stint in an effort to make up some time overall, but it didn't work out so well as my 3rd stint was where I encountered all the traffic :irked:

Nice times everyone, especially in GT300; really tight racing there! I'm fairly satisfied with my time; I could have easily picked up an extra .1 second if I had cleaned up my slide in sector 1, but otherwise, I was pretty much at the limit (I'd be surprised if an extra .2 was out there). I'm still very disapointed to see a huge gap in GT500 though.
 
Wow, eatsviper4noapparentreason, your top speed was 250? Mine was 290, it got me the best speed to start the lap.
 
EvO, as it is right now me and veil are already slowed down enough

i think my and veil are just driving to the limits thats all
 
Yes, go there and try to clock a 1'03 in our car, and u will see how slowdown we are. :D
 
Any faster and you would have gotten a speeding ticket for going "OVER THE" speed "LIMIT" :crazy: Nice times BTW 👍

Now why did my teammate abondon me in qualifying?? Hope he shows up to race :scared:
