Rumble Strips are part of the track
No wall riding

Ok, first if you see you gained or lost hp this is not a penalty it's only the final hp figures tweaking for the rest of the season. The weight you gained or lost is the real performance penalty. This season weight penalty will hit alot harder and sooner. I decided to make weight penalty in proportion with the entrants in each class.

So for round 1 GT500 had 9 drivers and GT300 11, it resulted in this penalty system.

So each week like I said the penalties will be in direct relation with the number of drivers in each class. Max will be +5% and min will be -5% for each week, and always a max of +10% and min of -10% for the global weight in the season.

I think the slower guys that now have -4%,-5% should be alot more closer to the top guys with +3% and more. I'd really like to see them take advantage of that lost weight and do well in the upcoming race. The closest we can get with our times and the more fun we'll have in the end. 👍
 
Damn, double whammy! I lose 11 hp and pick up 22 kg. Those figures don't make pleasant reading. ;)

*sigh*

Oh well, we'll do what we can. It will take some time for me to be quick here, for sure.

This should be alot of fun, I've found that the RX-7 sticks to the track when you add more weight, so the extra 33kg should help me more than hurt me. :sly:

Well I didn't know there were weight "penalties." Guess I really need to step it up a notch this week and earn that P1!!!
 
Looking at the weight lists for GT500, this round should see:

please tell me the skyline is good at this track... it has to, i absolutely love this track... and since WRS is not that exciting this week, i will be able to run more in this qualify 👍

a bit sad that i didn´t get any HP in the realigment of the cars... it will be very bad in fast tracks like high speed ring and fuji...

I just ran my first session, and I'm having trouble running a consistant fast line with all the rumble strips on this track. I have a line figured out, but now I have to perfect it. :irked:

I know what you mean. I ran a few laps last night, with my old figures, and was being thrown off my line left and right by some of the quick chicanes. This track is going to take some getting used to. I don't think I've actually raced this track in this direction ever. :nervous:
 
Pretty cool track, but it's still pretty bumpy like Trial Mountian, my car is going everywhere!

The main problem I'm having is choosing what gears are the best!

Oh stop the crying I'm in the same position as you. :p :D

And yup Supras should potentially kick some ass this round with most of them having big weight reduction and a little hp boost on top of that! Damm I better push it real hard to finish in a decent position for this round. :crazy:
 
After doing some testing, I've got my money on eatsviper again for this round. My testing times for the RX-8 and the Motul Z were almost identical. But the Z should be better in race trim.

I'm a bit confused about the GT300 cars too. Despite having a 60 kg advantage (for Teledriel), the AsparaDrink RX-7 is nearly half a second slower than the Garaiya around Autumn Ring. Must be something about the agility of an MR car.

Oh, and I took the Takata NSX for a spin too. I feel very sorry for hotboi, that car is.......a challenge. ;)
 
Well, everytime I go to run a hot lap, I seem to find an extra few tenths. I have an awesome lap ATM (I think), and I still know that I can get about 2 thenths more, with a hell of alot of driving.

I hope I can still get a top 3 qualifying postition with all this extra weight. I feel fat.:(

It was illegal for the Board Challenge. And I think it should be illegal for qualifying.

Opinions anyone?
 
A tip for you guys, maybe you can hunt down some BC replays?

Also i think JMR posted a video of a time very close to his winning time.

I know the cars are different, but the lines are the same 👍
 
I'm assuming the line is the track boundary.

Meanwhile, my best time has been 2.14.459....with a Ford Model T :dopey: ; this gentleman is able to make a time that is only two fold the time of a JGTC car... amazing!!!

hehe did you get a chance to try it out on trail mountain~?

had 2 bad spins in the final chicane, from bottoming out ( no walls tho :D )

i think this line, and also the line after T1 are both ilegal... but lets wait for a viper reply... although, it says "standard OLR rules aply", so i think we have to stay in bounds.

tried some cars last night, the woodone supra, takata NSX, pitwork Z, my car, the RX-8 and the RX-7, all with their proper figures... just ran 5 laps with each, to see how they behave...

if i would make a raking, i would put:

RX-7
Pitwork Z
Woodone Supra
and the other 3 (Xanavi Nismo, Takata NSX and RX-8) are pretty much bad compared to the previous 3... maybe the extra weight or something...

but i think with some extra practice i can have a descent time with my car, just have to get used to the understear in this track 👎 cars that get sideways are a plus in this track... like the RX-7

my money on the pole would go to the RX-7 or the pitwork Z, but the takata NSX can´t be taken out of this because its a MR car, and curtis is driving 👍

but it will be fun, i´m loving already... 👍 :dopey:
 
The problem with the RX-7 taking pole is....I'm driving it*....I love it, but it's a pretty difficult steer. What's really fun is that you can drift it on R5s with enough practice.

This week is going quite fun, I'm about .8 away from where I want to be, and I've been .4 up at T1 and threw it away...arghhh




(*That said, I have mastered the RX-7, and every other car in and not in the game, so if I don't get pole it's only because I don't want to make you guys feel bad. True Story. :sly: )

Yes that's definitely going off the normal racetrack pavement and is illegal.

About the Amemiya been slower than the MR opponents...trust me it wouldn't be slower if I was in the RX-7. :sly: You can't just start to test your car against all the others on a given track and then compare their performance like it was a final thing. Your normal car you should almost have it mastered by now...compare to the others that you're pretty much clueless about. And don't forget once we get on the high speed tracks all things will change.

Also, you have to keep in mind that each driver has his own driving style, just because you can turn a faster lap in their car doesn't mean they can. Prime example Teledriel and I are driving the same exact car however, I finished 3rd in the race and he finished 11th. No offense Teledriel. There are alot of factors that come into play. The 3 MR cars finished 7th, 8th, and 9th. In my personal opinion, it's the drivers and not the cars that win races.
