JGTC S3 Round 4 Qualif + Results

OMG. I ran that all today too. I didn't think it would be quick enough, but I was wrong. I dedicate that to my teammate for my lack of hard pushed effort. I also think I've figured out this car. It wants to be pushed, HARD! I'm also really light, so that helped.

Grats to M3T on the pole in GT500. :cheers:
 
Well GVS is obviously a P:w ratio track, with a few exceptions all the light guys are fast and the heavy ones slow!

Further proof that the weight pen system works to give all a chance at a podium! 👍

No complaints from me, just adds to the challenge.

Many,many beers and too much BBQ'd food for me tom...today! so no racing from me I think till monday.

Glad to hear about shumie! hate the guy!

Ah well, off to bed again, couldnt sleep so checked results.

I'm equal and fair with everyone, all get the same treatment and I think a couple can back this up. :lol:

Hey Neil, it seems like every quali and race lately we've been only hundreths apart. Either your getting slower (that's my bet) or I'm getting faster. Wait till your my age...it takes everything I have to stay at the level I'm at...I've killed way too many brain cells along the way.

I just tested the top 3 cars this round, Altezza / Garaiya / RX-7.

For sure the top contender for pole position was the ASL Garaiya...omg sooo fast :eek: :eek:

So, I finally figured out, how to use the max-drive. Couldn't find the damn thing earlier. What's up with the crush and uncrush option? Do I have to use it? Also, it is kinda hard to find the right replay. I better get a 2nd memcard. Hope I sent the right replay, lol. We'll see.

I haven't had time to qualify better, but I'm pretty happy with the result. Did that run this evening at 7:15pm EST, uhh. Got lucky! Congrats to the podium finishers.
The illegal pics got me screwed a little. Especially the one before the bridge.

On the Schumi incident, I'd really like to know how they could fairly rule it "intentional" given the replays and the technical data. I also can't fathom why Michael would've risked such a ruling under the circumstances, at worst he stood to be in P2.

Not looking forward to the race now...here's hoping Alonso puts it in the wall to keep the championship alive :lol:

Monaco starts in a few minutes.....same here I'm pretty pissed about the Schumi incident. ZeratulSG hit the nail on the head, why should he pull something like that, when he would qualify 2 for sure. Bull**** politics are in the sport now. I used to watch every race in the season for years. I'm a Schumi fan since his first race in Spa.

Nah, that was spoken like a true Michael fan ;) Be nice :) Alonso is very good, no doubt, we could all see that back in his Minardi days. But for some reason I just don't like him. I'd rather see Kimi on the top step.

The bare fact of the matter though is this: whether it was intentional or not, had it been Alonso (or anyone else for that matter) I seriously doubt it would've been ruled intentional, and possibly not even investigated.

Bad luck for the Australians, again. Nice podium for Coulthard 👍

Anyway, a 5th place finish keeps the championship alive, although barely. I don't really want to see anyone run away with it, 2003 was the most exciting season we've had in a while.

Thanks Oldphart....for the max drive though, I did the copy and paste and I just wanted to know how the crush/uncrush option works or if it is needed. Did some Tire testing already and it looks like that there is only one set what works with the Subby and this track.

the uncrush is only needed when you bring a replay from the computer to the ps2

as far as testing.... haven't done a thing :(
I've been dealing with a couple things here.... like getting this old you accumulate a ton of s**t ! ... moving from a large two bedroom apt that was stuffed-down to my friends 2nd bedroom - not fun :( ... wasn't bad when I was young, but then empty caves were everywhere :sly: ... the only thing I know is going is the 36" sony Wega, the 7 speaker system, ps2 and cockpit ... everything else is a bonus ... well, ok, my workout system ... hey ?! I lost sight of my hair, not my shoes :dopey:

Hope to put some time in on the race tomorrow while the car is in the shop before I head up the coast 6 hours ... headed near Shig/Scott ? Rocking CA... I'm getting so old I lose track of who's where :(

Tonight is a bit of R&R - the new X-men movie with some friends ... need some diversion from the past week... and you thought my qual was bad ? ... sheesh ... that was a highlight :ouch:

Watched the F1 ...gotta give shumie a 👍 5th ? from dead last ! at Monaco ? And yeah, I agree with the previous about Ruben holding up the field - but is that new ? LOL
 
I have not seen that my power had changed from 324hp to 321hp because winning last race.
I missed that part of the rules.It's my fault anyway,sorry.
But I just can not see why the 10s penalty for the race.
I submited my time,with an incorrect power,I Know but it was not intentional.
I bellieved the 10s penalty it was to penalize the guys that don't submit time to Qualify.
Anyway,the time was not so good.
I will make the race and submit time today,because during the week I have no time.And this time with the correct specifications.
Sorry all.
Wont happen again.

"he's an equal opportunity penalizer".... know that doesn't help .... much... but bro ? ... the format, the rules, have been clear before we began the series... mistakes, as in life, are learning experiences. Chalk it up to "the dog ate my homework".... won't do it again... I know,, I know... no compassion :( ...but hea ? ex-special forces...there is no slack... it may not have been intentional, but it was done. He's (Eats') is just protecting the series... doing his job according to what was laid out... same with the guys who post quals' late... didn't mean to, but....

I didn't said my time should be accepted.
I just don't agree with the 10s penalty,because Idid submit a time and there is nothing in the Rules that says if a pilot sends a invalid time to the qualify,he'll get a 10s penalty.

I only see this:
*NEW RULES* : 10 secs penalty on the race time for full-timers not submitting on qualification

But it is just my opinnion,I wont drop all because of that.
And it will not change my opinion that EV4L is doing a nice job with this SERIES.

Just my 2 cents,

invalid time = no time = DNS = 10 secs penalty if fullt-time

those are all synonyms :)
 
My opinion on this matter is, that you should get penelized for qualifying only. Just my opinion !

Boy do I suck, no? I thought I didn't do half bad. I was right. I did WHOLE bad! :^)

I guess I'm losing my grip as you're finding yours!

To be fair I did qualify 1% overweight, but at 10% over hOt still rocks. Also, I submitted on Monday so I didn't give it all. Hopefully I can race this event better than I qualified!!
