I Hope he gets well soon and has a full recovery, thanks for letting us know.

Damn...this wasn't good. I hope Joey and his buddy will get well as soon as possible.

About street racing - as mentioned, there are trackdays

That sucks to hear, hope he and his buddy make a complete recovery. I hope the person that him them lives so he can get his ass arrested for street racing. In fact, just this week in Toronto two young kids in their parent's mercedes were street racing and they nailed a cab killing the driver, and what they found in the front seat of the mercedes was a copy of need for speed....

Sorry to hear that.
I hope that he and his buddy pull thourgh and make a complete recovery.

The Auto News section will never be the same. (For a little while anyway.)

Thanks for letting us know, Max.

I hope Blazin will be feeling better soon.

Thanks Max for letting us know. And welcome. Hopefully you want to stay and become a valid member of GTplanet. Let's hope your next post will be one with very good new.
Let's hope for the best for Blazin and all the others.

Thanks for letting us know man. I hope everyone comes through ok.

It amazes me that street racers can pour thousands into their ride, but they can't seem to be bothered to spend a few bucks for a night at the drag strip...

Max, tell him that everyone here is thinking of him and hoping he recovers fast.

As bad as the situation is, I pity the next person that tells Blazin they are a street racer.

God speed and best wishes Blazin.

WOW.

Shocking news to wake up to - certainly snapped me out of my drowsy state.

This is terrible. I too hope that Joey is alright, can make a full recovery and that his stay in hospital is as short as possible. I hope his friend Chris pulls through OK too, he sounds to be in a pretty bad way.

My thoughts are with both of them in this unfortunate time of need.

Get well soon Joey. :)

wow that's sad... i'm pretty sure he was all excited to go use his new snowmobiles too, hope he recovers ok.

Amen to that.

Good god! If my imagination holds true, that seems like one disgusting accident. Any bastard who passes on the shoulder is too preoccupied with something other than driving safely. How old was the (near death) racer?

Wow, thats horrible. I sure hope everyone recovers fully. 👍

man thats not cool. i hope he and his friend have a quick and full recovery. glad to hear hes not TOO badly banged up. sounds like it could have been a lot worse

That really sucks, hope he gets better soon and that the racers get the punishment they deserve. :(

Holy! That bites:censored:!I hope he'll be ok!Man ,thats why no one should be street raceing.

:indiff: :indiff:

Make A Full Recovery Buddy, we need u on here !

Its lucky that his girlfriend was'nt in the same vehicle.

Ricers are Puke !

Hope this does'nt affect the pose, Joey. Get well real quick !

Well, it’s kind of come full circle. I don’t mean to point that out to be mean to Joey, but there’s a certain (tragic) irony to it. Anyway, looking on the bright side, this experience will give him even more bite to his anti-street-racing arguments.

Hmm... interesting he went to the Skip Barber Racing school too. That should've given him a clue about street racing... I used to go to the races only to see the cars but I never raced and when I watched we'd be in our cars AWAY from the street. I also went to Skip and after that the races were really really pointless even if there was nice cars. It's pretty ironic it's called "the races" because it's not that at all.

If only I saw this before he got into his current situation I would've have a field day with him but that was 02 so maybe he wised up since then. Even though he may have had that coming to him I still feel bad about his situation. Involving innocent people is not cool, he wasn't doing anything at the time. I'd hate to be driving along, all of a sudden have a drunk hit me, him walk away, and me die. That's ****ing wrong... :irked:

Please pass on my best wishes to Joey. We'll see him back here when he's feeling better.

Talked to him tonight, he's doing better and so is Chris. It looks like the guy that hit him is going to die though.

He'll be home either Tuesday or Wednesday is what Katie told me. But it's up in the air.

Katie is taking his laptop to him tomarrow and the hospital has internet connections...go figure. It's dial up but still its better then nothing because he'll be bored senseless soon. He already wants to come home and he really wants to go driving.

But thanks for all the warm wishes.

Wish Joey all the best 👍

Im sure he will pull through with flying colours!
Sounds like most of it can be healed to 100%!!, just the knee is a bit of a worry.

Get well soon mate! 👍

Send my best wishes to Joey and his mate too..

If karma comes round, the other racer will be found and put on arrested for racing.

Get better soon.

Have a fast recovery Blazin!

Hopefully they'll get the other driver involved.

I'd hate to die with a guilty conscience like that. What a poor situation the 1st racer must be in. Hopefully he'll live and become an advocate for anti-street racing, hopefully earning forgiveness.

I am very glad to hear that he's OK. I even said "have a safe trip" to him in the NBA thread. I know that wasn't why he got in the accident, but I still felt real bad about that. I hope you get well soon, Joey. 👍

Wow sorry to hear that. :nervous: Hope Joey gets better and his freind too. I also hope the driver of the oher car lives too. Nobody deserves to die for stupidity.

I'm very sorry to hear this, my best wishes to him. Hope he recovers fast. 👍

Hang in there Joey.

He called me tonight, for whatever reason he's still attached to his cell phone. But he told me the docotor came in tonight...why the doctor came in on Saturday night is beyond me but never the less he came in. I guess Joey will have to have surgery on his knee to get it back to some what correct and they said he won't really walk great ever again and he will have to stay off his feet for a while. More or less he's getting a knee replacement which I harassed him about because our grandpa got that done.

He's in good spirts and was making jokes so I know he's not doing to bad. But he has the attitude that being in good spirts makes you heal faster.

He's pissed, I mean royally pissed at the guy who hit them. From what Katie has told him it was a black SRT-4 that hit the truck (expect him to hate SRT-4's even more now  ) and the other car looked to be a Mini Cooper.

By the way Joey hasn't raced in a long long long time. He's a former racer turned anti-racing and he's even part of some organization around here, I can't think of what its called. But ya he wised up to the whole thing of steet racing and thinks its stupid now. He gave me a huge lecture when I took up drifting to keep it off the streets and if he caught me doing it there would be hell to pay.

Hope him and Chris come out well.

and even the driver - hope he pulls through at the least.
