To be fair, and to point out how much of a melting pot certain parts of America are, in a Miss Black America pageant, there wouldn't be a representative from Idaho. If you've ever driven through there, you know what I'm talking about. There's a reason that I-90 takes the shortest route possible through Idaho.

To me, the joke seemed more of a slam on the state of Idaho.

A slight change gives the same result.

The scenario the original joke was presented through, made it appear to be a racist joke.

Either way, still a poor choice of joke and certainly does not bode well for the poster.
