My download starts over every time... Anyone on that resume feature? I badly need it!
 
Resume feature doesnt work for me. When it fails it starts fresh every time. It seems to be doing ok for now this time but im sure it will fail soon.
 
1/3 done omg I cant wait. Got to go to the dentist tho so when i come back hopefully it'll be done.
 
Juniordee, your kinda getting the old pleasure pain thing !

Dentist and GTP update all at once, that too much to handle.
 
I'm switching to cable again then... It's what seems to work better for updating this game... Last update was unlimited tries on wireless, but only took a couple of cable tries
 
guys the resume featrure is there, its just doesnt show like what you expect...

for example if you keep downloading and disconnecting .. the downloaded part is there , but is not showing on the bar

in other words one of you attempts of downloading the bar wil jump from 40~50% (depending on how many times you desconnected) to full
 
All I know is it's freakin slow.

Yeah thats definitely possible because when I was getting errored out during the online mode update and it finally went through, the bar was only at about 50% and it finished.

That's pretty much what happened during the first update to me.
 
I dont get a % bar at all...

Just a msg with PS3 in the middle of it thats all I can make out...

Any ideas?

I would believe that but each time it failed my dowenload wasnt any faster at downloading. it took about 3 minutes to get the first pixel of the doenload to show each time. So far im at about 20% this time.
 
I am sitting in an airport going to a wedding out of town.....and the update is today. Dammit I am going to have to wait until Sunday night!!!!!!!

I think maybe you're queued for some time in the beginning. But what he meant was any progress during previous attempts will subtract from the total progress the bar has to reach.. If you've downloaded 30 % and it failed, it will only have to reach 70 % next time.
 
oh right. Well if thats the case I should have between 35 - 40% downloaded so far cause its at about 30% now.

It seems to download a slight bit faster through my router and when im using the net it downloads better too. as soon as I stop using the net through my computer it slows again. Thats kinda weird.

Download at 40% and still going strong...keeping my fingers crossed!
 
Well after several failed attempts using WiFi I shut down everything & hooked it up wired (& changed the settings to wired) & am going to try some more.

I'll be signing off the computer a while now, Porn is a wast of bandwidth when downloading the GT5P update!!:dopey:
 
YES!!! 100% But there's a big disappointment!!! There is no any new car or even High Speed Ring track :'(
 
The download is a lot faster than it was. Its taken 2 minutes to get to 10% this time. Im crossing my fingers it will stay that way.

I hope you're kidding....whats the point of the update then?

Did you reboot the ps3 and actually get the update installed? Thats how you had to install the online mode update...
