Keep seeing conflicting reports on twitter.
It's either:
A) Not an official race because red flag came out on lap two and they only completed one lap
or
B) Race is official
Technically, with it coming out on lap two, they haven't actually gotten anywhere with the race... I think.. the rules are slightly confusing. Does it get rolled back to 0 if the race were called at this point?
Edit: Guess it doesn't matter since it's resuming in a few minutes.
You got it wrong. It's raining so he used a boat.Maldonado tried to unarrive.

Lewis was driving the whole time at least 3 car lengths behind Nico and after two laps already blames him on the radio, even thought Nico did nothing at all. Yes, I call that whining, which happens way to much from Lewis.
The red flag get's shown very early in Formula 1 when it's raining. I think it's quite funny how the F1 and drivers always claim to be the best in the world, but as soon as the track get's wet they all act like they've never seen rain before.
Yes, there is a lot of water on the track, but as a driver you have to work with that and see for yourself how you stay on the track. Other racing series would race with those conditions, so why can't the best drivers in the world do it?
Because they need new organisers who look after the spectators?
Red flag was on lap two, which means results would be rolled back to penultimate lap before the red flag occurring. Just saw it explained on twitter. If this commenters are right since they passed to lap 3, if the race were to be stopped it actually counts but only half points.
Because of the terrible organizing job done for this race? Estoril lost it's race for a really stupid situation and the tire debacle at Indy didn't help it much stay on the calendar.
I don't have any bias towards Lewis. I think he's one of the best drivers in F1.Blamed him for what? You seem to be nitpicking because it's Lewis, hell you already showed your bias by saying "it happens way too much" thus it seems you expect it. All I heard was a radio message telling the team to relay to Nico to coast and not brake so he doesn't run the risk of destroying both cars before any real racing starts (my interpretation of the so called whining). This is an issue I have toward any biased viewer who dislikes a driver.
You don't need to be a super human to drive a racecar in the rain. We already had races in the past with much more water on the track and no one was screaming "It's undrivable" over the radio. Guess they were all super humans then.Um no, they're not super humans and the cars are only capable to a finite degree, best or not, they can't over come physics, but you seem to think otherwise.i
Um...then you might want to tell them to replace many tracks on the venue since most don't do that, from outrageous ticket prices, to bad traveling roads to get to the tracks, limited experience with the F1 personnel, doing things to the track that make it less fun and entertaining to watch and obviously not taking note from the weather even though the everyone knew it was going to hit around this time from a typhoon level storm.
All that said yes it's bad and stupid on their part but highly doubtful this will go on to another track and the only one it could go to would be Fuji
