Maldonado set fastest lap. At least the Lotus is fastest for once this season.

I don't have any bias towards Lewis. I think he's one of the best drivers in F1.
Hope that doesn't ruin your day.

Why would it ruin my day? I just didn't see how he was whining seems others didn't either, but you did. It seems asinine so I called you out. Pretty normal.

You don't need to be a super human to drive a racecar in the rain. We already had races in the past with much more water on the track and no one was screaming "It's undrivable" over the radio. Guess they were all super humans then.

If you think they were sure, perhaps you didn't read my comment correctly I'm saying you're the one that is putting them to that degree that they can overcome the physics of aquaplaning, heat dissipation or overall cold temps, lack of grip due to both or no grip because not enough down force can be generated to help obtain the grip that the cold temps and heavy puddles are already taking from the car. And on and on.

If this was the 80s where the cars had bigger tires, less down force to rely on and among other things that weren't nearly as technical I could see your point even then it was still difficult and races were called off so...

The spray is mega

Better tell Jenson Button and Charlie Whiting then... Lewis wasn't the only one complaining about the water... it just happened to be his radio conversation that was put on the radio.

Maldonado sets fastest lap!

He has arrived.

Also he just gave the go ahead saying "the track is as good as it's going to get", though that may be whining that Nico has said it and thus trying to get Merc to relay that too him 💡:dopey:

Can we just dub the sound of the safety car over all the racecars?

how about listening to the rain dubbed over the cars?

My god Lewis stop whining about how you want to go racing

When will the safety car comes in?
Let them race, the condition seems to be fine now before it gets worst!

It seems fine aside from the spray at the straights, 130 R at these conditions must be sketchy.

Now taking bets on whether we'll see a spin from the safety car... the track is getting quite a bit faster. About time for some backmarkers to gamble on inters before the SC goes in.

EDIT: Too late. SC in this lap. Crowd is actually clapping!

A chess game of inters

Why don't just red flag the whole race if it's rain or scrap the wet tyre all together. :grumpy:

You can race in those conditions. Aquaplaning or not, as a professional race driver you have to know how to race in the wet. They know how fast they can go through a corner in those conditions without spining off the track.
It's like Pete05 said, let the drivers decide if they want to race or not.

FINALLY!

Everyone clapping

Bet ya everyone pits first lap :indiff:
