So... A 22-hand game of Texas Hold 'Em to decide the winner, instead?

Nah, the paper boat idea works. Then again, Ericsson is dq'ed for failing to stay on the track.

There you go, spectators. That's two laps. It's a race. No refunds.

I feel bad for the spectators.

Buxton is really railing on the organizers of the race.

Kinda disappointed, I think the crowd is even more disappointed, if the FIA stops this, I see some disastrous refunds in Suzuka.

Yeah.. nothing like spending the entire day there just to see a 2 lap parade because the event organisers (Honda) didn't want to move the race up to inconvenience spectators that had already been there since 8am...

Would this possibly cause F1 to reconsider renewing at Japan?

Who can blame them, they had this storm timed down to a T and the fact that the promoters didn't seem to care is an issue. I think they did it on purpose hoping that the race would be rained upon and be a very thrilling event. However like Korea...when it rains it pours in Japan

Good race Nico, back to championship lead!

Making sure that Nico and him don't wreck is whining? And considering the track is so wet a red flag came out, he is clearly in his capacity to say that message, since it is obvious he can't see...as noted once again by the red flag and even Marcus
Lewis was driving the whole time at least 3 car lengths behind Nico and after two laps already blames him on the radio, even thought Nico did nothing at all. Yes, I call that whining, which happens way to much from Lewis.

The red flag get's shown very early in Formula 1 when it's raining. I think it's quite funny how the F1 and drivers always claim to be the best in the world, but as soon as the track get's wet they all act like they've never seen rain before.
Yes, there is a lot of water on the track, but as a driver you have to work with that and see for yourself how you stay on the track. Other racing series would race with those conditions, so why can't the best drivers in the world do it?

If anything it would make them move the GP away from Honda's track if they wanted to.

Can't they get the sweepers out? The Japanese fans don't deserve this.

Don't see why... this is the same danger with running at Malaysia or Singapore or China... though Japan does get hit a bit more often.

Can't reschedule earlier... have no way of telling all the spectators ahead of time. Rescheduling to a later date will be very, very difficult and very, very costly.

Race to restart at 15.25!!

Race resumes in 10 minutes

They're actually going back out. That's surprising.

10 more minutes

Rain seems to be easing!..

Yay Race is gonna get resumed.

What would sweepers accomplish if it's still pouring rain?
No, why would they do that? Because of another down pour?
Because of the terrible organizing job done for this race? Estoril lost it's race for a really stupid situation and the tire debacle at Indy didn't help it much stay on the calendar.

Keep seeing conflicting reports on twitter.

It's either:
A) Not an official race because red flag came out on lap two and they only completed one lap
or
B) Race is official

Technically, with it coming out on lap two, they haven't actually gotten anywhere with the race... I think.. the rules are slightly confusing. Does it get rolled back to 0 if the race were called at this point?

Edit: Guess it doesn't matter since it's resuming in a few minutes.
