I think there should be races specifically for people using controllers only because using a controller against someone using a wheel is unfair they are way faster and nearly impossible to catch.

Especially with the DualSense on PS5! Throttle and brake control is so much better now!!

GT is among the most balanced in this regard, similar to Codemasters, PD have a good feel for providing responsive handling on both controller and wheel.

Others trying to release on console could learn a lot from it.

Sport mode has issues but this ain't one IMO.

Well each to his own. I bought a t300rs when GTSport came out. Hated it! Absolutely nothing like driving a real car. Felt like a proper gimmick. I used it about ten times then sold it on eBay.
Controller is best for me using both sticks. Managed to beat the Vettel Challenge in GT5 like this and that was the hardest thing I have done in any game ever.

Shame you sold it! The t300 feels like a dream for me in GT7, way different than the 'flat' feeling GT Sport. You can feel the weight shifting and everything.

It’s a myth that gamepads are a disadvantage. Switch to motion sensor controls if the thumb stick is too twitchy for you.

I also have gold but i guess i just need a p5 the ps4 control sucks with the game.

for the most part i get gold no problem but i guess i just need to update my console for the new controller

Even with controller you can get to at least 'A' driver rating in sport mode from my point of view.
I did all licences + some experiences(all gold) with controller.
It's better with wheel but you have a large margin to progress even with controller.

Im sorry i mean more online racing. The story races are no issue i get gold no problem. I mean everyone saying the ps5 controller is good so might just have to finally update my ps4 lol

It seems that the choice between controller and wheel is simply just a personal preference now. I cant see a real advantage for one over the other. We have a small living room and if I use the wheel I have to bring my rig out from a spare room, so sometimes it's easier just to use a controller. For me, both are equally as good. Having trouble with a particular task in GT7? Grab your controller and you might accomplish it more easily than with your wheel.

I have no trouble getting gold. Its more online i am on ps4 people mention the ps5 controller being good as a steering wheel but i am not on ps5.

I hear you i can deff hang with top times just thought maybe since ps4 controller is old the new one might have advantage over the old controller
