Just sent a 20m car after 1.07 - no problems!

While PD make some truly strange decisions, they're not totally stupid! Most people would be playing on 1.04 or earlier if they could I'm sure!

They should make decisions based on the whole image, rather than just a small part of it.

Now that people can't "gift" (lol gift) uber expensive cars to each other, and the prices of the cars are the same...the game is gonna be ball breaker to some.

One good possible addition to this update was get rid of the dumb 20,000,000 credit limit. If they at least did that, then the trade restriction wouldn't such a ball breaker to some.
 
I experienced the same thing as the OP. Just updated a hour ago, and decided to test this 1M credit limit.

Tried sending a 908 Matmut (not a ticket, 4M dealership price, 0 miles - basically brand new) to another account on my PS3, expecting it to not work. But boom, the "Operation completed" message came up. It sent and I received it on the other account too, no problems.

I tried sending it back, but didn't work, as I got the message I've used up my limit for sending cars today.

Overall, I was able to send a car worth more than 1M, but the 1 car a day per console is true.

I live in the UK so I have a UK copy of GT5. Dunno if that would make a difference though.

Can anyone explain this?
 
I just tried it. Started GT5. Download started and have way through the download I stopped it. Eventhough I stopped it, the update was still installed.

I bought the Ford Mark IV '67 for 20 million cr and sold it to my other account. How is this possible if the 1.07 update prevents this in the first place?
I wasn't able to sell it back to the first account though. Maybe tomorrow it'll be possible.

No, Its one car per day per account, not per playstaion. You can have 10 accounts on the one plasyation and still make 10 trades in the same day.
 
Just a thought that came up as it now appears people are sending cars as well as tickets:

1) PD have somehow temporarily stopped this block using their servers? Probably can't.

2) The EU and US 1.07 updates were different sizes - different rules?

3) 1.07 has only blocked >1m trades from PS3 to PS3, not from user account to user account on the same PS3?

It's per PS3 now. Are you trying to hijack this thread? Everything you post doubts others or gives wrong info?

I know receiving is not the issue but you just have to take my word and accept I sent after the update.
 
I think they've blocked trading PS3 to PS3 but between user accounts is still possible. This actually means duping is still possible (whispers quietly) but slowed down.

Yes I will try sending to a different ps3 tonight.
 
Cant send a Car back to your main account anymore. Tried it today. You can send and receive but not send back on the same PS3 anymore. One a day :grumpy:
 
I just sent an R89 (3,5M) to another account, and it wasn't a ticket!!! Color me surprised!!!

I wonder if the restriction was temporarily lifted after this:

It's true ! I've just sent my Carbon X1 to my mate in Australia ! Has there been any officuial announcement made about this - new rules, regs? Because what ever's going on it sure is confusing!
 
This may be a great solution, You can't send cars within the same PS3. This will however screw over some people who share a PS3.
 
so, if I take a long lunchbreak and drive home this instant I could get my cars off my sub account? mmmmm, tempting.
 
Yes, for those in an uproar and about to sell their games over this (lol), I don't think you understand how this works. You CAN still send ANY car, of ANY cost, to ANY other account. The restriction is that if the car costs 1,000,000 credits or more you can't send it back to the original account until one day has passed. Nothing has changed except that sending cars back to your main account takes a bit longer. Try it out for yourselves, people are still sending 20,000,000 cars to other accounts.
 
weird that this turned over so fast. I tried it last night right after the update and I was told I'm not allowed to send a Ford Mark IV, even between 2 accounts on the same ps3 when I haven't done any trading in 24 hrs.

I'll have to see if I can get it back now.
 
the patch description did say "trading" cars valued over 1 million credits and not "gifting" so i supose this is accurate. extremely gay, yet accurate.
