Hi all, regarding the recent kart seasonal event time trial i have noticed that the top three appear to be cheating as they are ridiculously far ahead of the rest of us, without cheating it should be possible to do a 32.2 second lap but they are in 30s and 31s, why haven't GT disqualified or removed them from the leaderboard as it doesn't give us a chance of being fastest?

Have you watched the replays? If you haven't, then you can not justify that any cheating is going on. I haven't watched them myself but tell us how that went.

I did and damn , the 1st and 2nd guys looks like they use kart 125 SPL with racing soft tires

yes i have, it is ridiculous, the top guy is going 6mph faster than us lot round the long left hand corner, it is simply not possible to go this fast however you setup your kart

Yep, they are cheating, it's been discussed a lot here and it appears they have extra grip. none of us know how they did it though.

Let's hope PD does something about this.

yes lets hope, i am in 3rd place excluding the top 3 :) i just need to string my best sectors together and i will have provisional 1st :)

well I saw the replays and as I said before they seem to drive some kind of kart 125 SPL with Racing Soft Tires

Do we know how this is possible?

No, but after you see the replays , you will think same thing.

No doubt, I have never seen large gaps between the leaders in a TT. I'm very curious though as to how it is possible to cheat.

Interesting too that some people think they can get away with it, fools.

I had a suspicion that the players on the leaderboards were almost drifting around the corners.

Probably just me though.

Doesnt PD usually check the leaderboards to check for unfair laps?

welcome to the forums.

i wouldnt start accusing people of cheating without any proof. could it be that they are faster because they have better exit speed? also don't karts get more bhp after they are run in?

The laps are not unfair unless cheating can be proven. There is no known way to cheat, so we have to assume the laps are good.

Even if there is a way to cheat, why do only three out of 7 million know about it? Come on, cheats spread like wildfire.

They probably just have the ideal combination of great skill and perfect setup = fast.

I just watched all of the top 3 replays... 1st and 2nd are full throttle for 98% of the lap and appear to be cheating. 3rd place, however, is genuine. I have actually raced with him and I know he is quick. Nothing in the lap is abnormal... But as we have no actual proof, we cant claim 1st and 2nd are cheating...

And all 3 are using PDI 100 karts...

Karts do gain power, but not enough to gain that much speed.

have you even watched the replays? they are cheating/glitching somehow, FACT!

Nobody has proved that they're cheating, and it's a fact that they use the PDI RACING KART 100.

Besides that, there's only theories and many jealous guys who can't drive 1/100 of what those guys are driving.

Get used to it.

^^ This

Look at the fastest japanese racer, his lap is soooo clean and the lap is incredible.

I mean 2 seconds ahead of everyone on a ~30 second lap??
It could be innocent, it could be a glitch, but they definately have a huge advantage.

I don't think you can call cheat without there being something glaringly obvious. Watching the top three, the biggest difference that I can see is that the top 2 hardly use any braking, whereas the 3rd place guy does. Secondly, you can hear that the gearing is different. I suspect they've set their gearbox up so as to improve turn in when lifting off.

I'm no master gearbox fiddler, but I know that you can affect how a vehicle handles by adjusting your ratios and final drive...

Agreed, guys remember the track is only around 32-33 sec, so for 2 guys to be more than 2 sec in front of all others is very suspicious, and its not skill. Look at all the previous TT, the top 10 guys where much closer to each other, and those tracks where much longer than the Kart Space I.

And i have seen the Top 2 guys replays a couple of times now, and must say that long left corner they are doing, so much faster than the rest of us, is just sick and not possible.

Someone should try to take the 125kart and go around the Kart Space I, and just see if they could get an 30.*** lap time.

It's obvious they are using some sort of bug/glitch/cheat. The replays look so strange compared to other drivers in the Top10.

Also, has anyone actually lapped it when the tyres are very warm? I dont mean after like 3-4 laps, I mean after 7-10 laps. Being sports soft, the tyres may have A LOT more grip when completly warmed up compared to being cold and only a few laps old.

Ive done like 50 laps in a row, the kart performs the same on lap 2 as lap 50

3rd Place isn't cheating as I just had a look... I can't say 1st or 2nd... But to me it seems as if SRF is on for them and the improvements in time from now are gearbox changes. But hey they could be legit and if thats the case fairplay to them.

I'm sorry but you're wrong. Some of the fastest karters are 1-2s behind the top 2 over a 32s lap? You really believe that? That's equivalent to about 6% quicker than anyone else.

To put that in context, in the current Schulze TT, 6% would equate to being 7 seconds faster than current 1st place.

They're cheating. No doubt.
