Kart TT-top 3 cheating?

Well, IIRC, this TT ends tonight, so maybe one of the top two drivers will stop by and explain what happened, but I highly doubt it. ;)

However, when I see the same drivers posting in this thread that are always near the top of every TT Leaderboard to date and they can't get within two seconds of the top time, well, that tells me that there is definitely something fishy going on. :odd:

I probably still had another tenth in me to get back in the top 10. too bad my brother was using the PS3 before i could get a chance to beat my time. I'm still proud with my 12th place finish

Hell of a time doodle 👍

Without the top 3 you'd be 9th by the way ;)

Care to reveal your tune for the kart to the rest of us? Can't remember if you've posted it on the thread before or not

Nice time mate. I ended on the 38th place & i am pretty happy with that

If you overlay the data logs of the top two drivers they are essentially identicle. It's as if the same person drove them both. Like I drove my wheel I and then I drove my buddies. Also, if you study the data log he has an ability with his wheel to go from full on turn to dead straight in a millisecond. I could not turn my dfgt that fast even with everything turned off. He's probably found a way to free up his wheel. What I think he has in this event is an ability to drive smoother than anyone else. If you compare him to 4th place who drives with a stick, the stick driver's lateral g's are all over the place where his are dead flat.

oh.... hang on maybe they had the wheels on very sensative???

I can't for the life of me, think of anything they could have had the wheels on except the track...and we all know its not sensAtive nor sensitive at all :dopey:

on the other foot, if they had a new setting for steering wheels, called "sensitivity" then maybe they used it 💡
but I'm going to guess they had the same settings available as us and so had no advantage there

I just noticed this thread, so this may be late to comment, but when the event was first posted my dlc racing cart was (very briefly) rated at 33hp. I couldn't have been the only one with this glitch. Also, I might be imagining this, the dlc kart looks like it has more camber than the original.

I'm thinking that a real easy way to find out how many participated is to win the race at the lowest possible bronze time and see what place you end up in the rankings when it updates your time.

You'll get a pretty close estimate of the number of overall participants, considering that you will be pretty close to the bottom of the list.

there would of been a lot of folk who didnt even manage a bronze..... (i got gold by a few hundredths on this 1 and once i got gold i didnt try it again)

All this debate and still no proof.
Not only no proof, but also a lot of insulting and flaming among the members around here.

There was this thread how old people were when they started playing Gran Turismo and all I remember is that a lot of people seemed to be quite young in my opinion; in fact they were playing GT when they were supposed to acquire social skills. Provoking? I know, think about it ...

Sorry for the long response, but if anyone wanted it heres my tune for kart space

Top Speed: 68mph (109km/h)

1st gear: 1.326
Final: 4.539
Ballast: none
PP 477
24HP

The laps are not unfair unless cheating can be proven. There is no known way to cheat, so we have to assume the laps are good.

Even if there is a way to cheat, why do only three out of 7 million know about it? Come on, cheats spread like wildfire.

They probably just have the ideal combination of great skill and perfect setup = fast.

👍

I agree that it is most likely just a great tune with a superb driver. Maybe two buddies, or one guy on two accounts.

But I do see people's point, because percentage wise it would be considerable on other tracks when to scale. And of 260,000 people performing, one would think the gap is closer, besides the point that a 'crack/code/cheat/hack/glitch' would not be secret for long.

The one point people seem to forget is that there is only ballast and transmission settings available for Karts. It's not like they have suspensions or anything, so the amount of setup can only vary by those settings.

Since there is such a disparity at the top of the Leaderboard for this particular race, shows that something is definitely amiss, considering that every other TT to date, the Leaders are separated by 10ths, 100ths, and 1000ths, not full seconds.

Whether it's a cheat or a "game version" thing with hp or tire grip, or even a special way to setup a controller or wheel, I cannot say, since I do not possess the skill to even challenge the top 250 in a Kart, but when you see the names of people in this thread that are almost always in the Top 10 of every TT, and they are questioning the results, then that tells me there is definitely more to this than just setup or skill level. ;)

Regardless, the TT is over, the times stand, and we move onto the next TT. :)
