Can anyone post the list of changes that will happen or like a summary of what this says? Can't access those sites here at work.

There's more to GT5 than just getting to the end of it.

The game is only the beginning :)

Can anyone post the list of changes that will happen or like a summary of what this says? Can't access those sites here at work.

As with anything that comes from PD, nothing WILL happen till it happens. :p

Gotta disagree with you there. I'd swap multiple setup saves for all of the single player events.

How can you disagree? I'm saying to Kaz, WTF, why no multiple car setup saves, and we need more single player events too. It's just that setup saves would be easier to implement, hence the "WTF Kaz"... Even GT4 had 3 setup save slots. We should have 3 that auto-load for every variation of every track. No reason we couldn't have at least one slot per car per track.

If I had to choose obviously it would be more events.

We need 3 things in a major way.
1: Credits and Xp in online races
2: Leaderboards and not just for stock car time trials but for tuned cars as well.
3: The ability to save our tunes and recall them as needed.

👍

Im only interested in Stock times trails but I'd welcome tuned times too.

Someone tell Mr Tamagotchi to get his ass in gear!

All those are minor things compared to major gameplay and content fixes that are needed.

No - that means 80%$ of the content can NOT be used in the entire game.

That is HUGE.

It means that GT5 really only has 200 cars... Many of us only begrudgingly use the standard cars where we have to to advance in the career.

They truely have no other use.

BTW folks, remember this is Kaz' time line.. when he says 20/12 he probably really means the year 2012, not the day 20 December

People will be disappointed again...
I will be happy about every update, I enjoy the game massive right now and every little thing added will just make it better.

That's exactly what I was going to say.

People always get disappointed. If Kaz give free tickets for getting a real Ferrari for each GT5 player in the world, some people would complain: why not a lambo? Damn, no Porsches?

Humans... the disappointed race.

Yes please!

Was there any mention of what the late December update would contain? I've been under the impression that it would bring leaderboards and a backup options for save data, but now it looks like we don't know what it will bring at all?

Am pretty sure @Kaz said in one of his tweets that we will see leaderboards in the "late December" update, but this interview has gotten me confused.

I'd just like some new and varied SP events for A-spec. Thanks in advance:sly:

Yup, if we could only get ONE thing, it would be double or triple the number of events in a-spec. It would seem one of the easiest parts of the game to actually create, compared to cars and tracks.. Why not make 150 of them? Why the Hell do we only get 9 per level? Why Kaz? WHY? WTF.

:grumpy: 👎 :yuck: :dunce:

A-spec events suck. They've always sucked and they probably always will. The opponents are sub-idiots. In 6months time who will even remember the 1player game?

GT is about hotlapping, drifting, tuning, racing online and with friends. With the exception of online that's what it's always been about. That's what makes you play the game for years and not just the week or two it takes to get little gold cups in all the retarded little single player slots. All that rubbish is just warmup for the main event.

So stuff improving A-spec or b-spec or whatever, that's not what I paid for. Concentrate on the community. Improve the online racing, give us some way to save and share tuning setups, fix the bloody interface, let me adjust my gearbox, give me money for winning proper (online) races...

Forget about single player events , they suck, I don't want more of something that sucks!

"Thank you sir, may I have another? Thank you sir, may I have another?"

I don't think I've ever met a more ungrateful bunch. This will be the fourth update in less than one month. How about being happy that PD is bringing out updates and patches so frequently?

This. Spoiled kids always want more, I guess.

The further problem is that the line you paraphrased is a tad too nice. The spoiled kids we're forced to bear around here normally omit the "thank you sir" and go with something on the lines of "You, sir, are an idiot, I know how to make games better than you even though I never tried once, now gimme more! *bangs on counter*"

Ungratefull? You blind? Gt5 is getting a major pass by people like you, despite missing a wealth of features that are on almost every other game

..and having a wealth of features that almost no other game has.

and is really lacking in the online setup and single player career mode. All this for 5 years development. blind fanboys... pathetic.

The only pathetic thing around here is how some people created their account only to come bash the game, doing nothing else than whining over and over and over. No matter what's in the news, they whine. The game is released with an unprecedented wealth of content? They whine about the little that isn't there. The developer is one of the few that actually support a game for the long time, instead of looking for new sources of revenue, continuing to work on adding more things? They whine that they are not adding MORE.
Quite disgraceful.

backup save copy???

Very important indeed, I backup all my ps3 data every week, that`s the only way to keep your progress.

We also need the save option in endurance races and 3x on b-spec mode.

The most important Cr. and Exp.points for online racing. I am stuck on Lv.27 with evething golded plus the 1st endurance race. Sometime I repeat a championship or an event for fun but that`s it.

Leaderboards first...the rest can wait... seems like they got problems with the content & Leaderboards...

I guess you weren't around when GT1, GT2, GT3, and GT4 were setting the standard for single player racing games.

I like on-line racing and hotlapping too.. but GT Life mode doesn't have to suck. In fact it really DOESN'T SUCK as it is, it just isn't big enough.

It doesn't have to be too easy, just pick a car that makes you work for a victory against the AI. Most people play the single player part compared to the amount that venture on-line. There is replayability in the SP part of the game too, not just on-line racing.

Another one...

Why put up a load of times, then they update the game and all your times are invalid... and you have to redo them...

just wait

they will come.. there are far more important fixes that need including before leaderboards.

like a save backup feature... i'd be more pissed if my game save corrupted and I lost everything...

I've played the series right from the start and, until 5prologue, with online mode, probably upwards of 90% of my time playing was hotlapping and splitscreening with my mates.

The events are just something I do to complete the game and make money to buy cars. It's always been rubbish and there are two main reasons for that -

1 the ai is retarded and doesn't put up much of a challenge

2 You're only ever racing against 1 or sometimes 2 other cars the rest are ridiculously slow compared to the leader (s) that they may as well not be there. So you have a choice - set your car up slow and compete with the pack for 2nd or 3rd place or compete with 1 or 2 really dumb opponents for gold.

Either way bores the hell out of me. I'd much rather dive into the sunday cup with a race tuned zonda and get it over and done with as quickly as possible. All I want out of a-spec is 100% and a decent car collection. I'll never get 100% now, because of 24hour endurance so I don't even care about that now. The day there's credits up for grabs in online mode will be the last time I even look at a-spec

This. Spoiled kids always want more, I guess.

Surely there are the spoiled kids, but that's far from what most around here are.

People are just revendicating what they thought would be included in the game from the very beginning. Leaderboards, a lot of events to race on, realistic damage, even changing individual gear ratios in the freaking fully customizable transmission.

This game is great, there's no doubt. But it's lacking some basic features. It's baffling how it lacks features that even GT5P had. I'm glad PD is releasing so many updates because this game desperately needs them. However, do I think Kaz is the next best thing since sliced bread because of them? Not really, those updates are just fixing things that should be already working.

This...couldn't have said it better myself. I hope to GOD xp and credits are implemented online.

gee, can't imagine why you think it sucks so bad.

The AI gets a lot more fun to race against when you give yourself a car that doesn't blow them all into the middle of next week. Also if you race like you would against real people, and drive the way you would in real life... meaning if you smashed into something you get hurt.. You'd find that it is much more fun.

It isn't all about that anyway, some of the enjoyment is from actually getting further in the game. If you just had all the cars and tracks with unlimited cr. from day one the game wouldn't be as fun- Not for most people. You just aren't playing the SP part the right way to make it a challenge obviously. You just take the easy way out and say it's too easy. GT lets you decide, if it's too easy it's your fault.

GT5 doesn't have the balance or depth in single as much as the older GTs though, that's the problem with it. It's not that the entire idea behind a career mode is flawed you say.

I agree. The AI is actually good if you race them like you would in real life.

I used to race GT5P online a lot with a great group of people. No contact was allowed and I needed a great deal of effort to remain competitive while trying to stay clear of other racers. The best racing I've ever experienced in a game. If I drive with the AI the same way I used to drive online in GT5P, the experience is close enough to make me happy.

I agree with this. I raced the 300km Grand Valley Endurance last weekend in a mildly modified S2000, and won the race by less than one second. Crazy freaking race, it was really good. I only got past the leader because he was slowed with lap traffic. The last five laps or so I spent watching my rear view mirrors. Sucker was catching me, fast. But he ran out of time. Barely.

I really wish PD would impose more limits on the races in A-Spec, I just did the Gallardo event and it wasn't just a case of having more ponies that everyone else, it required good driving as well as some tuning to maximise speed. More like that! Even a BHP limit on races, to make tuning and driving the main differences.

Just bought racing tires for that event and smoked the competition. So yep, I agree on more limitations. If the AI is driving in sport tires, I shouldn't be allowed to use racing tires...

Kinda wish the PP system stayed. Sure it was exploitable, but not having it is far worse, in driving with an overpowered car sense.

I agree to an extent. I think people have such vastly different driving skill levels that they (Kaz) figured they'd leave it "open" and let the player decide how difficult they want it to be. I see your point though.

GT6 should be a launch PS4 game Fall 2013. PS3 can barely handle GT5 as it is . A PS4 launch GT6 would sale as many units as consoles

GT5 just needs regular updates of features, tracks, perhaps even some more A-Spec enduros/races/championships and perhaps increasing the level limit to 50...

Online B-spec races will be most entertaining

Well there's your problem. Put sport tires back on it and then do the races.

This exactly, everyone is complaining about being stuck with cars they spent a ton of money tuning then they don't have the money to get what they want when it comes up used. Well heres an idea, if you don't win the race on the first try instead of dumping a wad of cash into your car, play it a few times. I'm at level 21 and have not spent one credit upgrading a car aside from tires needed for some. And I am NOT the best player by far, but many (trust me not all) races were a decent and fun challenge. I know I am getting my money's worth.
