That's true, but what will I do when the trial time expires? I don't have 600 dollars to spend on it.
@ Greycap,
I just reinstalled PSP8 to see if it was that much different, I havent used PSP since version 2 as I switched over to PS since version 4. It took approx 10 minutes to find out how to 'carbonise' a hood/bonnet of an Esprit.
I find that the same steps apply in PSP as they do in PS. The menu's may differ slightly but creating layers, selections, Hue / Sat etc apply in both applications.
Alternative to the expensive PS is to get PS Elements. It has similar capabilities as PS but is a lot cheaper and in most cases easier to use as PS has quite a steep learning curve.
Keep in mind that most of us here use only a fraction of the stuff you are capable of doing with graphics programs so there no 'disgrace' in buying Elements if you want to use PS instead of PSP.
To be honest, there's no real reason for you to switch over at all. Both applications require time spent on investigating it's capabilities. There is no 'magic' button

in PS that does it all for you.
However look at some good tutorials on PS and 'translate' the steps in to PSP9. Chances are that in 80-90% of the cases the PSP steps are (near) identical.
Steps taken in PSP8
1 Open Esprit picture.
2 Open CF picture.
3 Copy paste CF pic in to car pic as a new layer and rename the layer to CF. (It's good practice to rename all layers in to meaningful descriptions)
4 Hide the CF layer
5 On car layer selected hood ** and then
invert the selection
6 Make the CF layer visible again
7
Make CF layer active. The marching ants now apply on the CF layer.
8 Select Cut. This trims off all excess CF material.
9 Applied Hue Sat to CF layer
10 Done.
** I did a very quick selection so didn't pay attention to detail.
These are the exact same
basic steps I apply in PS.
Has this been of help?
